Hello everyone and sorry for not being here in this special week!


Despite I couldn't take part before and answer the questions and all, I have read all your posts and answers, and they're great! I couldn't have imagined a better party; I'm sure Luna would be happy to have a party hosted by any of you guys! And the acrostics were really original and sweet... I couldn't say which one is the best because all of them were awesome. But... xcupcake, yours is so long! It's really wonderful. And welcome to you, to xxkrakenslayerxx and to everyone else I haven't welcomed before

I'm taking part in the last posted challenge, though. Keep in mind that I made the pic last night (or early morning) at about 3am, so it's not pretty good.

Well, any challenges you didn't get to do that you'd like to, feel free to. I understand that some people haven't been on or something, and we didn't have a lot of people doing everything, so go ahead and do it. I love reading all of the poems and Dess, I love your art anyway, no matter how quickly you did it I'm working on a question, but I can't think of any right now. School starts tomorrow for me, so maybe it'll get my brain working.

Hellooo, I think I'm going to join this, as Luna is one of my two favorite ch aracters. I love Luna, she's very unusual and just brings happiness wherever she goes. I'm glad she's in Ravenclaw, too- suits her. Just because she's a bit weird, doesn't mean she's not a genius. And it's my house, tehe. She's hilaaarious, and Evanna is the PERFECT Luna. She looks like I would imagine her, she has the right voice, dreamy look, and she's just naturally, um... like Luna, haha. I'm very very happy with the casting!

Alright, so I've been thinking about this for a while:

If Harry was born in 1980, then Luna was born in 1981. In 1992, she would be in her 1st year at Hogwarts. In 1998, Luna would be in her 7th year at Hogwarts. Then, in the epilouge which takes place 19 years later, the year would be 2016 for everyone in the book. In our world, we have a lot of technology, like IPODS, cell phones, and DVD players. Do you think that Luna would be interested in any of our technology from a witches POV?

Wow, haha. I read quickly over the math part of the question- I read a whole timeline recently so I've had preperation for school, when it comes to math. So technically, the question is just;

Well from what we know from the books, wizards almost completely ignore the technology. They have magic, and then some minimum of technology, but it seems like most of that technology would have remained the same for a long time, even if it's been improved since (for example, radios). Luna seems to me like the type to always stay a witch, never being very into muggle lifestyle, but at the same time not living a blatantly magical life. She's just... a witch, and thats the way it is. I have a feeling Luna is more interested in magical creatures than spells and curses, haha. Actually I don't think she cares about muggles at all, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Honestly, i would not say she would be very interested. As we know, she loves nature and creatures etc. so i cant really see her sitting in watching tv on a beautiful day when she could be getting up close to nargles or something.
However, if i had to say what part of technology that i think luna would like best, i would say she actually would enjoy a tv, so that she could watch documentaries about animals, creatures etc. that we have in the muggle world.

I agree, great question!
Hmm...it's hard to say. In general I don't think that Luna would be very interested in such technology as she's never really been involved with muggle inventions. I can't see her sitting on the couch or on her bed watching t.v. or doing something on a computer. It just doesn't seem like Luna to me. She's the type of person who loves the outdoors and all it has to offer, such as the creatures and the nature itself.

However, if I had to choose a piece of technology that I think she would like or enjoy the most I think it would be the camera. Although Luna may like to draw and paint, I can see her wanting to take pictures of the creatures she finds and then documenting or placing them in a journal. Photography is also a form of art, so she might actually enjoy editing the pictures somehow on a computer. Whether it's zooming in and focusing on an image such as a flower or creature, changing the color to black and white, or even enhancing the color. There are a lot of different choices of what you can do, so I believe that she may like using a camera.

With that said, I still believe that she would be more of an outdoorsy type of person and wouldn't rely on technology. There are so many other things you could be doing, which is why I think she enjoys it the most. Being a witch...is just what she is and I don't think that she would get to involved with the technology that we have or had.

Woooohhh genius point there! I hadn't thought of that (and I myself spend my life taking and editing pictures). It's a really good way to incorporate technology into Luna's personnality and interests- you're right, she's very artistic. Photography would be her thing. She could make wonders, haha.

I think I have to agree with MagicTrioFan11. A camera is the thing she would most enjoy and use. I think she'd take a lot of nature pictures! Close ups of plants and animals and that sort of thing. She would probably be a photographer for a nature magazine she'd be so good at taking pictures. Haha.

Hi everyone! I'm sorry for not having posted before, but in a way I'm glad there aren't a lot of questions in my to-do's. In other way, we need more questions! Ok, anyway, the current question has been answered so nicely that I... I'm afraid I'm always late, I'll try my best and think in this little while of other questions.

I think she'd enjoy cameras I do think so! But everybody said it already.
I know this might not be exclusively Muggle, but I think Luna would scrapbook. She'd collect every little thing and stick it into a lovely notebook. Maybe wizards and witches do that?
Also... maybe she would enjoy, not iPods but discmans. I mean, iPods and such make some people (or most) excluded from the world, if you put on your headphones all the time. But discmans, you've got to change the CD, you can't take it anywhere and all the time, etc. I think that Luna, liking music, would enjoy discmans
But I don't think she'd like, being a witch, cellphones, DVD players or anything of our crazy world. Maybe she'd enjoy cinemas and theaters,though.

How do you imagine Rolf Scamander? I mean, which special traits has he that atracted Luna, and also how is he physically?
I wrote a fanfic once (which I so have to continue someday!), and he was an explorer, a bit of a Charlie Weasley, brown-haired, tanned and daredevil but sweet

How do you think is Luna as a mom? How do you think she managed with twins?

I actually always imagined him looking like Scrimgeour. I don't know why... but a nicer version of Scrimgeour. And weirder, haha. I guess maybe my brain automatically imagined him like Xenophilius, too.

I think she'd be a wonderful mom. She'd be really, really fun, but somehow have really good control on her kids. I think she'd make good kids. And if they're little daredevils, she somehow manages to live with them extremely well. And of course, she'd raise them to think... outside the box, like she does. I honestly enver imagined Luna as a mom... I can't imagnie it. She'll always be the teenage Luna to me!

The seventh floor..? Haha. I think she would go where no one ever goes. Because she has a natural attraction to these places aha. She's probably discovered a million secrets about Hogwarts, but didn't realise it because she was, well, asleep.

I think that she would be thankful for her father, first of all. Even though he's wacky and everyone else thinks he's beyond batty for his stories in the Quibbler, he's still her father and he loves and supports her. He's the one who set her on her interesting search for Nargles etc., right? So I'm sure she would be very thankful for him.

I think she would also be thankful for her friends. Every friend Luna has I think is precious to her because so many people tease her and put her down. I know she tries to ignore it, but that has to wear a person down eventually. So I think her friends help buffer that and she realizes that she's not weird, she's just unique!

And I think she's thankful for Hogwarts and the wizarding world in general because she can explore whatever she wants to with much more freedom, since she has the use of magic. Can you imagine being a Muggle and having Luna's mind? Poor girl!

Hehe, and I think she's thankful for Nargles, Crumple-Horned Snorkacks, Blibbering Humdingers, and everything else out there that really exists, and she knows it!

Hello everyone! Well, look how close it's getting to Christmas!:santa: I have some projects for everyone to be working on and getting back into the LALA sprit as we all know Luna would

So, first off, for all you avatar makers out there, and even if you're not a big one, here's just something fun you can try.

Creat a Luna inspired Christmas image. It must have Luna on it somewhere and something about being thankful or Christmas and being together with people.. otherwise go wild! Just have it in by the 23rd. Post a link to it in this thread and then the winner will get a prize.. which I'm still working on

Second, I'm thinking we need two kinds of people to help with this club, because I can't keep it active on here and do EVERYTHING by myself, now can I? What do you think Luna would be thankful for on Thanksgiving?

Ooooh... Let's see. She would obviously be thankful for the friends she has, as well as her father. And let's not forget the Nargles and the Crumple Horned Snorcack.

Luna would also probably be thankful for open mindedness, as well as the ability to imagine and dream. Those are sort of the three things she's good at, and appreciates in others.

Long time no see! Sorry I haven't been on here more often, but I'm here now to answer some of the newest questions.

What do you think Luna would be thankful for on Thanksgiving?

I think that in general Luna is the type of person who is always thankful for what she has. Her father first of all, because he's taken care of Luna her entire life and they get along so well. He's always supporting her and in a way I feel like that's what keeps them together. They have this love for these creatures that both of them understand so well and I think that Luna would be very thankful for that.

She also has an extreme love for her friends so I can imagine that she's deeply thankful for them as well. She's so sweet and kind that she even painted a lovely picture of her closest friends so we can definitely see how much they mean to her.

How do imagine Rolf Scamander?

That's a difficult question to answer. I guess that I've always imagined him to be like Luna, in that sort of unique out-there sort of way. When I think of him, I also can imagine him to be somewhat like Charlie. Longer hair, maybe orangish or brown, not extremely strong or anything, but in shape, handsome, and basically someone who has that Luna style. Almost like her father Xeno.

How do you think is Luna as a mom? How do you think she managed with twins?

I think that Luna would be a wonderful mother. I always imagine her twins being rambunctious, but I feel like Luna would approve of that and her and Rolf would encourage them to have as much fun as possible. Of course, they would still have control over them I just don't think that she'd be the type of person to yell at her children.

I do have to say though, that I agree with Witherwings on the fact that it's hard to imagine Luna as a mom, when all you can really picture is her teenage self.

For some reason, when I picture their holiday celebrations all I can really picture is the Weasley's house. So going on that, I feel like maybe Luna and Xenophilius would be invited to spend the holiday with Harry, Ron and Hermione. This also reminds me of the wedding in the seventh book, which makes me think even more that it would be an ideal holiday for Luna and her father.
