The Force of Four

Welcome to "The Force of Four!" I think VTM needed a Fan Club for those of you who love the four founders of Hogwarts: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin. Here you can discuss all about the founders with fellow founder lovers. I really hope you enjoy!

I would really like to make this club fun, fun, fun! Hopefully we can make enough members to were we can pick a Founder Fan of the month, and stuff like that. Have any ideas please post them or just shoot me a PM. I am always glad to take any ideas you may have.

Hello, Loony'sCool! I love the founders! They were obviously cunning and determined folk, and people like that deverve to have a fan club!

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is: Can I join? If I can, I'll have to add a link to my siggie as soon as I can.....
Radcliffefreek
Great idea! I liked it.. Sure, I would want to be a member.. I'll try to find some questions and discussions so that the club could be started.. I hope many more will join!
Sinsdaemn
Hmm the force of four... I like the title, yes yes indeed. And it does seem interesting, having little to no information on them. Okay, where do I sign away my life? biggrin.gif

Tonkzzz_777
Wow I love the title! I would so love to join, this is going to end up being a very interesting topic and I know it will be very successful.
BRoyals
This sounds like an interesting club. I like the name. Okay, a question:

Which is your favorite founder and why?

I like Helga Hufflepuff best because she is the one who seemed less prejudiced about the separating of of kids into the houses. She also seem kind and good hearted to the people who might not have fit in to the other groups.
Sister to the Dark Lord
Which is your favorite founder and why?

I always liked Rowana Ravenclaw, because of her way to see all the angles of an argument, and know when to step in and when to back down. She also wasn't prejudiced against the Muggleborns and halfbloods. She was clever and was obviously (to me) skilled in the saying "keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

A crucial skill.
Loony'sCool
I have updated the member list everyone, and remember if you have any ideas just send me a PM. I will always be glad to help!

Congratulations Sister to the Dark Lord for being the first to post in this new fan club. I am happy to hear you love the founders, and wish to discuss their greatness here with us. Feel free to put the link to this club into your signature. Oh, remember have fun!

Whoohoo! Another congrats to Radcliffefreek for being the second to post in the club. That would be great if you found some questions for us to ponder on. Seems like there will be more members.

Clap it up for Sinsdaemn for being the third to post! I am happy you like the title. I think it fits best of all. This will be an interesting fan club, since we hardly have information on the four.

Congrats to Tonkzzz_777 for being the fourth to post! Yay, your the fourth ( Force of "Four"). Cool, another person likes the title. Yes, I agree it will be interesting!

Yahoo! Bravo for BRoyals for being the fitfh to post, and for being a Ravenclaw. I am not trying to be mean by saying "for being a Ravenclaw." You'd be the same way. I love all the houases but mostly Ravenclaw! Also thank you BRoyals for posting the first question. It slipped my mind when I made this club. I was just like, "Wow I forgot to post a question?"

Which is your favorite founder and why?

My favorite founder would have to be Rowena Ravenclaw. I loved her knowledge of things. She truely was the brightest witch of her age, but ofcourse Hermione is now the Brightest witch of the age! I love how she came up with the, magical changing, floor plans for the amazing school. She also designed the changing staircase! She was, to me, the best. Looks like I am not the only fan, *Big smile at Sister to the Dark Lord*
Radcliffefreek
Well, its wonderful to see you all responding.. And my apalause for BRoyals for the first question..

okay, the answer:

I like Godric Griffindor the most. Because he was very brave and he had a nerve to fight dark magic and evil in middle of crisis... He was the one who was most probable to stand against Slytherine.. Off course, other founders stood against Slytheirne too, but Griffindore was his natural enemy... He was the one who would be found fighting dark arts in times when there was no hope..

Okay, I have got a question:
What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

I hope the question is clear..
Tonkzzz_777
Which is your favorite founder and why?

Well to be honest, all of the founder where needed in thier own way....yes even Slytherin, because I am very sorry to say without the Slytherin House the story would not be very intersting for the simple fact that mostly everyone would be getting along. But with Slytheirn into play you have all these ups and downs, twists and turns, and very interesting things happening.

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

Well as far as anyone meeting Young Tom Riddle goes, I seriously doubt that anyone would have ever predicted that he would become the most powerful dark wizard because he was of course a school prefect. But as far as just Helga Hufflepuff as a person...to look at a picture of her she seems very "best friend" type....if you get my drift!
Sinsdaemn
Which is your favorite founder and why?

I would have to agree with Rowena Ravenclaw as well. She seems very sharp and wise. Somehow, I always seem to think that she looks like Minerva Mcgonagall... blink.gif Then I have to remind myself that she's a Gryffindor. Oops.

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

When was this? I don't seem to remember....But I think she was a very warm and caring individual. She may have been the peacemaker in the group. Kind of maternal..... I think. Maybe.

BRoyals
What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

When did Tom Riddle meet her? That was thousands of years before his time. Anyways, based on what her house was like, I think she was a maternal sort and liked to do some sort of artsy thing.

I have another question:

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?
Hermione17
I'm really loving the title!! When it comes from a poet...it's easy to see why it's so great! Okay I see a BUNCH of questions...So I'm just going to jump right in!

Which is your favorite founder and why?

I would say Helga Hufflepuff. There's not much known about her but what we do know I absolutely love! I love the fact that she was sought out by Salazar Slytherin and Godric Griffindor to create a wizarding school. She was very skilled in charms...especially ones related to food. She stood up for house elves and suggested they work in Hogwarts so they wouldn't be mistreated and abused. She also took all the students the other founders didn't want. Helga Hufflepuff saw the good in everyone and wanted to give pure bloods, half bloods and mud bloods the same opportunity at a superb education.

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

I think young Tom Riddle was after Helga Hufflepuff's time. But had they met I think she would have given all she could to help Tom Riddle. And realizing she wouldn't get very far, she probably kept a very sweet, and caring eye on him.

In her personal life I think she was just very sweet. Helga Hufflepuff seems to me the type of witch to help anyone in what ever way she could. She'd give you her last cup of tea if would make a difference. She's very warm and makes you feel at home.

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

My favorite horcrux is the diadem. For the soul purpose that it bestows wisdom to the wearer. The others did not give off anything positive. Except for maybe the cup, but we don't know what powers it possesses. We have long discusssed this in the Hufflepuff common room.

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

I think Slytherin would have been proud to have his heirloom's used in such a way. The other 3 would have been furious, seeing as they are the ones that disagreed with Slytherin in the first place. Huffplepuff and Ravenclaw, I think would be the most offended. Hufflepuff with her calm nurturing nature, to take in anyone no matter their personal struggles and Ravenclaw, cool intellect, it would be an insult to her. Gryffindor would just be down right furious. Luckily, nothing of his was used for dark magic, instead the sword was used to destroy Horcurx's.

Dawn
Tonkzzz_777
Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

Well there is no doubt about it I like the diadem, because it makes you smart. I would only use it if I really needed to....I sure wouldn't use it for like a test or anything. That would be cheating! biggrin.gif

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

I do believe that they would be disgusted and appauled....and possibly extremely furious that their hidding places where not as good as they thought them to be.
Veritaserum14
Which is your favorite founder and why?
Our dear and proud house founder...Salazar Slytherin. Well, no, not really. It's so hard to choose. I guess I could just say what I like about each founder, since I can't really decide which of them I like the best. Rowena Ravenclaw values wisdom and appreciates cleverness. And she also knows how to solve problems using her mind. Helga Hufflepuff likes and accepts everyone and she knows how to appreciate some of those qualities that the other founders might not notice. And Godric Gryffindor... well he's brave and he basically is the foundation stone. I don't really know what else to say...so I'll answer some more of the questions later. Great club and I just love the name...it's catchy.

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

I am not trying to critisize, I just think you got a little confused. When you say "Helga Hufflepuff after she met young Tom Riddle." She never met Tom, Hepzibah Smith did. Becuase in the book Hepzibah said she had close bonds with Helga Hufflepuff. Later Tom steals the cup and kills Hepzibah, luckly Dumbledore was able to get the memory from Hokey (Hepzibah's house elf).

Well if you are to mean Hepzibah not Helga, than I would say that her personal life was very ornate. Going to the finest plays, being waited on hand and foot by Hokey. Although, to me, she was very kind to Hokey. Hepzibah was very proud of her collectibles, to proud. I guess she talked and rubbed the fact she had these things to her family, and friends. If Tom had not of stole the cup and locket. Hepzibah's family would have duelled with each other for the items.

Now if you were really meaning Helga Hufflepuff, and not Hepzibah. I say that Helga was a great person. Her personal life would be wonderful, baking new recipes, hiding them from her best friend Rowena. I could imagine Rowena begging for Helga's Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

I am like Hermione17, I like the Diadem the best! It was terrible that it had to be sitroyed. What a lovely heirloom just destroyed. It would have been nice if the Diadem was reserved, some how, it could have been place on Rowena's statue in the Ravenclaw common room. Also I'd like to say what a great question BRoyals.

***I have a guess for what magic Helga's cup has. I am guessing that it gives you unlimeted supplie of any liquid poured into it?***

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

Salazar would have been envious, not likeing that Tom had thought of it and not himself. I am uessing that Salazar wouldn't like Tom much after finding that bit of information out. Godric would have been furious that his fellow friends items were used for such a reason. But Godric would have been happy to know his sword was used to destroy the terrible dark magic. Helga would have been mad to find out her cup was used. Rowena would be suprised by Tom's intellect, but mad that her Diadem was used for his soul.

Congrats to Veritaserum14 for joining!

Also another Congrats to a nice friend of mine Hermione17 for joining too! Happy to have you here.
Radcliffefreek
Ohh... I am sorry... extremely sorry... I totally forgot that it was Hephazibah Smith... Sorry.. It was Helga Hufflepuff's cup she had, not herself.. Soo Sorry..

Now, the questions:

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?
I like the locket more. I liked its look. I found it the most dangerous amongst all horcruxes. It gave much trouble to the trio to get rid of it. It was perfect, as far as a horcrux is concerned. And, it was the only horcrux(amongst the house horcruxes) which was truly Voldemort's property.

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

Definately, Griffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff wouldn't have liked their objects being used for Dark Arts purpose. But, I think Slytheirne would have been proud that a Slytheirne(Voldemort) was putting something that belonged to him to do some Dark Arts. He would feel satisfied and delightfull that his locket was being used to perform Dark Arts.

Loony'sCool
Its okay Radcliffefreek. Anyone could get that mixed up.

Now everyone I think I have a good question. Thank you everyone who have contributed to this great discussion already, can't wait to hear more from you. Give yourself a pat on the back. Now I am starting to sound like a teacher, lol. Heres the question:

Which of the Horcruxs hidding place was your favorite?

I will post my answer later on. First I'd like to hear what you guys have to say. Have Fun!
Radcliffefreek
I think I liked the cave the best.. It was really eeire and all.. And the troubles through which you have to go to get to the horcruxes was something.. soo ya, the cave..

Hermione17
Which of the Horcruxs hiding place was your favorite?

OOO...Radcliffefreek, I like the idea of the cave too. It was creepy and scary. Just like Voldemort HAHA! The suspense was insane, I think it's really one of the few hiding spots we really had an awesome description of, besides the diadem.

However, I think using Harry as a horcrux was brilliant. What better place to hide a part of your soul than in your enemy. And no one knew it! Not even Harry...just Voldemort and Dumbledore. So I would have to say I'm split between these two hiding places.

Thanks for the warm welcome Loony'sCool grouphug.gif !! I'm happy to be here!

Dawn
Loony'sCool
Which of the Horcruxs hiding place was your favorite?

I guess I should answer my question now? Great replys Dawn, and Radcliffefreek!

I thought the cave was the best out of all the hidy holes. The fact that you have to journey through the ocean. Then having to have great powers to open the door. The lake seemed so awesome, except the fact of the corpes in it. If it were me who had to get across the lake, I'd never make it. Becuase first I would be to scared of the bodies, second I would never find the chain. So I guess the cave is my favorite!

Can't wait to hear others!

I want to join this thread! It's great; I couldn't imagine so many interesting questions could pop out from the forgotten Founders, to whom we owe so much! Where else would we be walking these days, if not through Hogwarts mysterious passageways?
I love the name of the club, and I love your idea, Loony'sCool, so Kudos to you! By the way, may we know your name? Maybe it'll sound friendlier happy.gif
I've been keeping my eyes on this thread, but since I wasn't able to post or read any further, it's with great surprise that I'm here tonight tongue.gif

Which is your favorite founder and why?

I think it's Helga Hufflepuff. She kind of gives that feeling of the good, cheerful teacher, closer to a mother than to the Professor. I also admire Gryffindor, since the bonds of my House are strong and are pulling, because he was brave and reminds me of Dumbledore, just that a stronger one.

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

Lol, congratulations again to the founder, the only one in coming up with a valid answer. Yes, it was Hepzibah, not Helga laugh.gif Anyway, I don't see Helga anything resembled to that eccentric witch, but perhaps it was a reference from Mrs Rowling to give us a hint of how Helga Hufflepuff was? I don't know, though, doesn't convince me.

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

Um... The diadem sounds interesting, because I suppose summarizes a true head of a Ravenclaw (intelligent and open to think beyond), but I don't think that you need such object if you're indeed a Ravenclaw. For me, kind of Rowena's image fell a bit, because... she needed a diadem to increase her intelligence?
I like your idea about the cup, Loony's, I think increasing things is like... multiplicating the bread to share, and that's the main value of Hufflepuff happy.gif If it's so, I love it.
I don't know... Even without being a Horcrux, but the element that destroyed them, I love the sword happy.gif

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

They would have been incredibly outraged. Maybe Slytherin wouldn't, but the others...

Which of the Horcruxes hiding place was your favorite?

The cave! Absolutely, the most original one! C'mon, you don't have to be that witty to guess that a room full of objects was never visited before rolleyes.gif Of all the places at Hogwarts, it was really foolish from LV to choose that place. The vault was a place choose in order to protect at least one piece of soul; the diary was left in careless hands and the cave causes DD's hand to die, so... it's not original, anyway.

Love it! biggrin.gif

You are now a member DeSs! I will add my name beside my username on the front page. Thank you for the Kudos.

Okay everyone I need help. I would really like to start a Founder Fan of the month, or something like that. Okay first thing is I need as many ideas of what to call this Fan of the month thing. Also I need some help with some avatar icons for this fan club, and one for the fan of the month. Last point of this post is that I need someone very bright to take the place of co-owner. All they would have to do is keep the thread interesting and fun, also to help me with new members and stuff. Someone who will just keep the thread running, when I am not here.

That is all. Thank you for listening. Have a great day!
webs2009
Hey i love the title (hint of alliteration, very kool) i think a fan club for the founders is really kool since they are so underrepresented....hey wouldn't it be really kool if JKR wrote books on the founders and their lives and how they grew up and became the founders of Hogwarts, then about the whole Slytherin fiasco? ok off topic sorry... ermm.gif

Which is your favorite founder and why?

I would have to say that Godric Gryffindor os my fav founder because he embodies bravery and "all that is good", plus he seems like he could kick butt at a duel against Salazar

What did you think about Helga Hufflepuff after she met Young Tom Riddle? I mean, what did you think she was like in her personal life?

I think that it has been stated that it wasn't Helga that he met...but were not all prefect lol (my sorry attempt at a HP joke smile.gif )

Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?

I would have to say that the locket would be my fav because at first it was shrouded with mystery especially when it cursed that one girl and sent her up into the sky (feel free to give me her name). Also because of the history it had with Sirius's brother Regulus Amadeus Black and Kreacher.

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?

I think that the founders would have banned together to find their objects, but Salazar probably would have been proud to know that his locket was being used in such a way by one of his descendants.

Which of the Horcruxes hiding place was your favorite?
My fav hiding place has to be the cup because of the peril of Gringotts. Gringotts was also a place we didn't see much in the prior books, so it was pretty kool to get an inside look at it, also the fact that they escaped on a dragon made me partial to the cup's hiding place biggrin.gif
Radcliffefreek
How about, Fan of the Foursome? Or Hogwartinian of the month? (You know, since the club related to the four founders of Hogwarts) And about the avatar, I think the best icon would be the crest of Hogwarts, since it will include all of the four member's symbols...
Loony'sCool
Congrats to Webs2009 for becoming a member! Don't worry you werent really off topic. It would be cool if JK wrote a novel on the founders, like the life of building Hogwarts. I loved your responses to the questions. Your the first not to say the Cave was your favorite hidding places.

Thank you Radcliffefreek for the ideas. I will keep them in mind!
webs2009
Ok about names for the fouder fan how about
founder freak of the month
founder fan of the month
foundorinian of the month
GRIFAVENPUFFRIN of the month (putting all the houses together)
lol that last one is a mouthfull lol
Loony'sCool
There all great! I loved the last one. It sure was a mouthfull. I hope more, and more people come and share in our discussion. Then we could really get a GRIFAVENFFRIN! I still like the original Founder Fan of the Month. We should have a vote?
Veritaserum14
Which of the House Horcrux's (locket, cup, diadem) is your favorite?
My favorite horcrux is probably the locket. I like this one because it is maybe the one that Riddle went to the most trouble to procure. I don't know, some of you guys might disagree with me, but I guess he might have thought that it rightfully belonged to him...being the heir of Slytherin and all. Okay off topic. Anyway, I like the locket because he seems to have gone to a lot to make it into a Horcrux, and I thought that it's hiding place was particularly the one out of all the other places that he kept his horcruxes was the most thought through.

Which of the Horcruxes hiding place was your favorite?
As I hinted I like the cave. I think that he put the most work and planning into that particular one. The diadem, did he seriously think no one would ever think to look for it there? Of course it's original location...the tree in, I don't know where...was pretty nifty. But still. And the diary...entrusting it to Lucius? Careless. The cup, the vault was a good idea, but still a bit faulty. His snake...pretty obvious. And I could go on, but I won't for fear of saying too much.

What do you think the founder's would have thought if they knew an object of their's was being used for Dark magic?
As has been very much mentioned...Salazar would have been proud. And I am sure, had he been alive, he would have encouraged Tom to use the locket. Gryffindor's sword was useful in destroying the locket, and I thought that was a pretty nice and maybe just a slightly ironic touch. As for the other two founders, the thought of their belongings being used to store a piece of his soul in them would have repulsed them. I don't think that they would have liked it.

What should we call our fan of the month?
Hmm. This one's tough, I kind of like Radcliffefreek's ideas. And what we have so far is very creative. I don't know, I guess I like Foursome Fan or Force of Fandom of the Month...like "The Force of Fandom of the Month for (Insert month name here) goes to (insert name of fan)." I am not very creative at this naming business. But good questions guys.

-Karina
Loony'sCool
Okay everyone! Due to the fact that our club is very new to VTM, that means we must come up with a name for our biggest Founder Fan! I have indeed come to the conclusion that we have a vote. Send me a pm with what you'd like the name of our fan of the month thing.

Two titles to vote for:

Founder Fan of the Month

or

Fan of the Foursome

Remember to send your vote too me, vote will end on Monday of next week!

Also knowing that this club is for fans of four people not just one. We will have a little award to the biggest fan of Godric, Rowena, Salazar, and Helga! This mini award will be given out at the end of every month. This award will be chosen by me and the co-owner, if I ever get one.

Now for a new question!

What do you think happened to the other heirlooms of the founders? Like their wands etc.?
webs2009
What do you think happened to the other heirlooms of the founders? Like their wands etc.?

Well the books dont exactly give us a lot of insight into this subject of Wizarding Traditions except for Dumbledore's burial. When he was buried, he was buried along with his wand which might suggest that that might be wizarding tradition, like when people are buried along with their wedding and high school rings. So what might have happened is that the founders could have been buried along with their wands. However, there is also the possibility that their wands were handed down through the generations, like how Harry's invisibility cloak was and how Ron got Charlie's old wand. (But the handing down of wands is probably not common since Ron only got his since his family could not afford one for him and Olivander wouldnt have had a job if everyone got their wand from someone else.)

About other heirlooms, they also probably got handed down within their families. Wizards might have Wills like us muggles do in order to distribute belongings when we die. Like the ring of Salazar Slytherin and Helga Hufflepuff's cup, they were all handed down and kept within the families, so yeah thats probably what happens with that kind of stuff. Their houses we know can be handed down to family of to whom ever they choose like how Harry got Number 12 Grimauld Place from Sirius.

I have a question, were are the founder's decendants now?
Voldemort is of course Salazar Slytherin's descendant, but what about the rest?
BRoyals
What do you think happened to the other heirlooms of the founders? Like their wands etc.?

I think that they were probably buried with their wands, like webs2009 said. Wands are one of the most unique things about a witch or wizard, and they wouldn't want them stolen or taken advantage of. More personal items would have been given to their family members or heirs. I think they would have donated some of their money to run their school and keep it nice, and of course the school would be left open to whomever decided wanted the teaching responsibility. Then, as we all know, Voldemort took an item from three of the founders to use for his own nasty schemes.

Where the founder's decendants now?

Voldemort is Slytherin's descendant, The Grey Lady, Ravenclaw's ghost, was Ravenclaw's daughter. Helga Hufflepuff's descendant was Hepzibah Smith and who knows about Gryffindor.

The Four Founders
More of the Four

Loony'sCool? Have you come to a conclusion about who our fan of the month is going to be, and what they will be called?
Hermione17
Where the founder's decendants now?
Well as BRoyals has said...

QUOTE

I'd just like to add that Harry Potter is related to Salazar slytherin...which means...I'm affraid so...Voldemort. Through the Peverell family. The 3 brothers with the 3 Deathly Hallows. Since Harry is from Godric's Hallow he might be distantly related to him. I've looked and couldn't find much about that. But here is Harry's family tree.

Harry's family tree

Dawn

Also, Tonkzzz as asked me to give you guys a message from her.

Tonkzzz is very sorry she has not been on in awhile. She is not in school anymore, but is instead at home looking for a job and as soon as things around her calm down she will be on. Keep her in your prayers!
BRoyals
So, building on what Dawn mentioned, pure-blood maniacs Salazar Slytherin and Tom Riddle are related to the Weasleys. How ironic. biggrin.gif Sorry, I just had to say that.

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?

Invent a fifth founder: their house name, relationships with other founders and qualities they looked for.

Hermione17
Crazy isn't it...the funny thing is Tom Riddle isn't even a pure-blood, yet he condemns anyone who isn't and those that socialize with anyone that's less than pure-blood.

Let's see...we have some great questions to answer here!

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?
I like bravery, intelligence, cunning and loyalty. A person that would have a quality from each house would be a very well-rounded individual.

Invent a fifth founder: their house name, relationships with other founders and qualities they looked for.

Founder: Brigit Barehoof
House: Barehoof House
House animal: Mustang
Relationships: Barehoof is a lot younger than the other founders. She was chosen for her exceptional magical abilities and for her ambitious nature to be the best at whatever she put her mind to. Salazar Slytherin thought he could use Brigit Barehoof for his personal gain, making Hogwarts nothing but pure-blooded. Barehoof was vary close to Helga Hufflepuff, for her warm and inviting nature, she was easy going and easy to talk to. She had a lot of respect for Rowena Ravenclaw for her intellectual input. Being young she looked up to Godric Gryffindor for his bravery and strength. Barehoof came to despised Salazar Slytherin for trying to use her against the others and literally kicked him out and his serpent he rode in on.
Qualities: Honesty, respect, ambition, hard working, outdoorsy
Colors: Blue and dark brown

My migraine isn't allowing me to think anymore. I hope I didn't miss anything smile.gif

Okay, Okay! I am sorry for the delay, I have been really tired this week. I fell asleep after school yesterday at 6:00pm and woke up to go to school. Well let me stop taliing and move on to the vote!

The results are in, the name for our fan of the month is "Fan of the Foursome"! magic.gif

Now for the nominees for Fan of the Foursome, for April 09: Radcliffefreek and Hermione17

*** Please send vote by friday***

I understand its a little late to have a April fan, but why not our club was founded in that month. All the others who have posted, the two I have picked, I think, would be the best!

Congrats to DeSs and BRoyals for becoming co-owners! I couldn't decide which so I picked both.

Founder: Vladimir (Scandinavian, renowned prince) Ventus (Latin, Wind)
House: Ventus House
House Animal: Gazelle

Vladimir was very competitive with the other founders, especially when it came to sports. Much of Vladimir's past was unknown to the founders, but some speculated that he was a descendant of a vampire. Vladimir and Godric loved to compete, Rowena thought that he was more muscle than brain, Helga had a crush on Vladimir and Salazar spent most of his time alone in a dark dungeon so he didnt interact with Vladimir much.

Qualities: Physical and Mental strength, Agility, Competitiveness.
Colors: Yellow and Light Blue

What a great question Kel! Let me think... Hope your migriane goes away Dawn. sad.gif

Founder: Susan Valencia
House: Valencia House
House animal: Polar Bear
Background: Susan, unlike the other founders, had already founded a school. She had founded Frosty Cavern in Alaska, all by herself. She grew tired of the castle made of ice, and decided she'd go to Paris for a vacation. While there she ran into someone she never thought possible, Rowena! The two had played together one summer, at age 6 or 7. Rowena's mother needed to visit Fiona her sister, who torn, almost, apart by a artic fox. Back then in the Wizarding world cures still needed to be perfected, so no cure for the bloody gashes in her chest. They grabbed there trunks and headed to the fireplace. In no time they were in a small Alaskan village. Rowena was dramatized by the cutts, she had to leave the, cabin like, hospital. She soon found herself in a wonderful winter wonderland, deep in the woods. "Crack," was the sound of some brush nearby. Rowena turned around to find a polar bear standing on two oddly watching her. Then noticed some small feet from behind the beast. A little girl walked out into the open and said "Who dare come into my home!" Rowena smiled and said "What an odd place to live." They never remembered how it happened but they just became the best of friends. The girls name was Susan, and the Polar bears name was Nathan. Susan and Rowena played with spells, and created new ones. Then Rowena had to leave the following week. Their fun was about to end. Right before Rowena left, Susan took a small round medal of some sort. Susan then broke it in half with her mind, Yes her mind (Susan had no use for a wand she used her brain). Rowena crafted a silver chain out of midair and connected it to her half, and then another chain to Susans half. The said that way they could always remember each other, and meet again some day.

Susan grew up in the woods she called home, since her parents had died while hiking on one of the mountains, with Susan. They were never found neither was Susan. Susan was alone with her friend Nathan. They loved their life and everything in it. Susan always liked to go to the local school cabin and listen to the lessons, and the vocies of children her age.

One day while she was spying, Some children complained about not being able to use their magic. Thats when Susan had a revolutionary idea to open a school for witches, and later it welcomed boys. She now was bored of being a headmistress in a icey castle, away from the world. But those were just her excuses, she really was only missing Rowena.

Well that day in Paris, they sat down and had some tea. Talked on and on about stuff. Rowena mentioned that she needed help to open a school with some of her friends. At first Susan didn't want to, since she heard the words, "with some of my freinds." But then she decided okay.

She left Frosty Cavern, and let Nathan live in the mountain near the soon to be Hogsmeade. Some say they can still hear Nathans growls coming from the moutains. Other rumors say that at night you can see his ghost wandering the school for Susan.
Relationships: Susan and Rowena were extremely close. Susan was hated by both Helga and Godric. Helga hated the fact that Rowena was stolen from her. Godric just didn't like the fact that Susan didn't need a wand. Salazar crushed on Susan, they later went out, and got married.
Cuase of death: Susan was murdered by her husband, Salazar. Becuase she was fighting for the rights of muggles. Salazar hated that so he planned a vacation for the two of them. Salazar took her back to Alaska and killed her in the harshly cold mountains. Right when she died the charm which hung around her neck broke into small peices. Rowena later said that she felt like her heartd was peirced by a icicle the moment Susan died. We still think it is a mystery to were Rowenas half of the necklace went. Most say it broke when she died, later on. The moment Susan stopped breathing a small ghostly ball came from her lips and floated a few feet in the air. In one of Salazars' memory we saw that he watched the ghostly ball form into a ghost of Susan a reunited with her parents gostly figures. After Salazar killed Susan, he went to the mountains at Hogwarts to finish off Nathan. Slalazar came to find Nathan had already died of a broken heart.
Qualities: Loyalty, Respect, Intelligence, Temper (Whoops)
Colors: Blue and White

Wow! Nice questions... I have missed a lot..

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?

Well, Bravery from Griffindor.. Thrist for Power from Slytherine.. Intelligence from Ravenclaw.. and Campassion from Hufflepuff..

Invent a fifth founder: their house name, relationships with other founders and qualities they looked for.

Founder: Gandalf Equine
House: Gandalf House
House animal: Horse
Background: He was named 'Equine' (Latin for horse) because since his chilhood he was extremely mighty..Gandalf is a very strong and mighty wizard, who has qualities of both, Griffindor as well as Slytherine. He was very brave and also he was very cunning in case of power. He wanted to aquire power so that he would impart mighty knowledge to the students of Hogwarts and make them able to face any hurdles that may come infront of them. Unlike Slytherine, Gandalf never hated muggles and muggle-borns.. But like Slytherine, he was very cunning for power and also merciless to those who betrayed him.

Relationships: Neither Godric nor Salazar got along well with Gandalf because he somewhat outwitted them both.. Whereas, Helga and Roweno liked him very much and always followed his advice..

Qualities:Always power hungry and mighty and always eager to impart mighty knowledge..
Colors: Black and Sliver

P.S. Thanks a lot, Loony's Cool for considering me.. smile.gif

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?

Well, from Gryffindor I really like they bravery and inability to stay out of trouble *cough* Marauders *cough*

Ravenclaw, I truely admire their intelligence. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure is definantly 100% true!

Hufflepuff is crazy loyal, which is wonderful. Helga would be proud. Plus, they're not the pansies people make them out to be. Hufflepuffs are strong! You can tell just by the way they haven't been flattened by all the teasing.

Slytherin is true to himself, which everyone must do. It's too easy, especially nowadays, to just give up your individuality and allow the crowd to sweep you along. Slytherin never. Gave. In. He's cunning, and can find loopholes in any rule, so he can break the rules without breaking the rules (if that makes any sense).

With all of these traits, it's no small wonder that Hogwarts is the best magical school ever! (OK, maybe I'm a little biased there..... XD)

Congrats! You won the first 'Fan of the Foursome', you'll go down in history!

Congratulations Radcliffefreek!

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?

Slytherin: My house. The cunning folk. I think that Slytherins have an air of mystery, it's hard to tell who we really are because even though to a point we do share qualities, not a single one of us is a *perfect* Slytherin. We are shady characters! laugh.gif

Gryffindor: The house of the "Chosen One" a.k.a Harry Potter. I think that this house has some very daring and bold people. Their courage at doing things certainly does set Gryffindors apart.

Ravenclaw: "Wit beyond measure...man's greatest treasure." I think that basically says it all. The calm and collected and yet still reasonable people of Ravenclaw. Sure some of them have their quirks but at the end of the day it's their intellect that stands out.

Hufflepuff: Kind and friendly, Hufflepuffs are of a mixed variety. They have a great deal of qualities. Loyalty, friendship, etc. I know that some consider Hufflepuff to be the weaker house, but in so many ways they are equally as strong or stronger than some of the other houses.

What do you think happened to the other heirlooms of the founders? Like their wands etc.?
I think BRoyals pretty much summed it up. Their wands would have stayed with them and the rest would have gone to their heirs, descendants, and/or distant family members. And speaking of the descendants. I don't really know what might have happened to them. We all know that Voldemort is allegedly dead. The Grey Lady is of course a ghost and as for the others, I can't say I have any idea.

Well that's all for now,
Congrats again to Radcliffefreek!

Where the founder's decendants now?

QUOTE
So, building on what Dawn mentioned, pure-blood maniacs Salazar Slytherin and Tom Riddle are related to the Weasleys. How ironic. biggrin.gif Sorry, I just had to say that.

wacko.gif I'm missing something here, why do you say the Weasleys are related to Slytherin and Tom Riddle? The Weasleys are related to the Black family (who are pure-blood maniacs most of them, yeah) and Riddle and the Gaunts are related to Slytherin and (Antioch, was him?) a Peverell, and so in certain way to the Potters, but not to the Weasleys, I think. Well, anyway, all the wizards are related, as Sirius says and as the Weasleys say.

What qualities of each house do you think are the best?

Oooh, I love how Karina put it! happy.gif In a summarized version, I say it's boldness, wisdom, loyalty and slyness.

What do you think happened to the other heirlooms of the founders? Like their wands etc.?

Their wands are buried with them, yep, and well, most of their heirlooms go to their descendants, but I suppose they did as Dumbledore and left some to the school. Of course Gryffindor did, we know that; but Ravenclaw's greatest heirloom remained lost for centuries; Hufflepuff was got by a descendant and in regards to Slytherin... do you guys think the locket was his heirloom? Only that? I think his greates heirloom had to be something else. Maybe... his Basilisk? That's a heirloom I wouldn't take laugh.gif

Lol, I had one but I'm going to work on it because I didn't like the name happy.gif

Yes, I too think that the Basilisk was his greatest heirloom.. Because his heir, Tom Riddle was able to operate it too, right? And the Basilisk lived through all those years! That's a bit of shocking! But, the locket was as equal an heirloom as well...

Thank you Radcliffefreek for the good humor! I needed it. The funny thing is that I am Nick! You may call me Loony'sCool or Nick, I don't mind. I will still be the same person. Well wish me luck, I have to go to the doctor. Becuase I am having chest pains, and throwing up @_@

I just had to make another Founder!

Founder: Elizabeth Sinister
House: Sinister
House Animal: Spider
Background: Elizabeth grew up in a wealthy family. She, always, got what her heart deserved. Until, on day the family was shunned from society. Because her parents were involved in politics. They came up with laws, and things of that sort. Britain did not like their idea of the higher tax. The family lived in a huge mansion, in which Elizabeth spent her days wondering in. The house was threatened by many protesters. The events scared poor Elizabeth, who was only five years old. Especially the night the amazing mansion was burned down. Luckly she was rescued by a brave firefighter, sadly her parents lost their lives. After Elizabeth was brought back to full health in the hospital, she was sent to a local orphanage. The same orphanage young Tom Riddle would live many years later. Unfortunatly Elizabeth would never earn her parents huge fortune, because she was hated by the people. Across from the orphanage set a little bakery with a small apartment above it. Elizabeth spent the first two weeks at the strange place staring out a small octagon window in the stairway. The caretaker, Mrs. Godwen, noticed this, so the next day she walked Elizabeth across the street to the wonderland of sweets. That very day Elizabeth stepped outside her bubble of gloom, and met Helga the bakery owner’s daughter. The owner was a plump woman who went by the name Mrs. Hufflepuff, but Elizabeth liked to call her Mrs. H. Helga and Elizabeth liked to play through the aisles of fresh breads, tarts, and many other delicious sweets. They were the best of friends. Then one day Helga confessesd her scret of being a witch. Elizabeth thought it was truly great. Mrs. H was so loving, she decided to take in Elizabeth. Now Elizabeth lived in a small bedroom with Helga. Mrs. H felt bad for Elizabeth since she was a muggle living under a witch’s roof. It took three years but finally Mrs. H perfected a recipe that would give any muggle a witch’s/wizards abilities. On Elizabeth’s 11 Birthday, Mrs. H gave her a cake baked with the recipe. Advising Helga not to eat any of the cake, because if she did, she’d become sick and could cost her, the magic in her veins. Elizabeth payed no attention to the fact that Helga had no cake. The next morning Elizabeth woke feeling like a goddess. She asked why she felt like that, but before Mrs. H answered, Elizabeth had a saucer flying through the air. When Helga and Elizabeth were 18, Mrs. H died from a sudden heart attack. St. Mongo’s tried to save her, but she was weakened by the fact that half of her magic had been taken, and poured in to the special recipe she put in the cake. Elizabeth felt guilty of the death and the two faught over the whole ordeal. Elizabeth came to the decision that after the funeral, she would leave. Without telling Helga where, Elizabeth went to live in a small cottage in Austria. After the death, and the moving, Elizabeth was hopelessly depressed. During this terrible time in her life Elizabeth did many terrible things. Elizabeth was known to have developed the Acromantula. Later she brought a tribe of them to the forbidden forest at Hogwarts. She was also the first recorded person to make a horocrux. Although the papers claiming that, were destroyed by Helga trying to cover up Elizabeth’s dark past. One day while Elizabeth was down my the creek near her house. She stumbled across a strange stone in the grass. That night she set infront of the fireplace holding the stone. When Mrs. H appeared beside Elizabeth. At first Elizabeth was shocked. Then they both sat down and chatted about the present. Mrs. H advised Elizabeth to help Helga found a school for magic. Elizabeth was inspired by the words, and went to be with her best friend.
Relationships: Elizabeth and Helga weren’t as close as before but they tried to show their friendship in public. Rowena liked Elizabeth, also was interested on how Elizabeth became a witch. Rowena always chased Elizabeth through the corridors, trying to find out all the secrets. Godric fell in love with Elizabeth the moment he saw her. Elizabeth didn’t like Godric, so she had to let him down. Salazar later went out with Elizabeth. They both perfect for each other. She was in love with his looks and cunning intellect. Godric hated Salazar every since he took his girl.
Death: Elizabeth died warm in her bed. Just before she did pass, Elizabeth held out her hand and placed the stone she had found down by the creek, into Salazar’s hand. Elizabeth smiled and then took her last breath.

Hey everybody! I just want to announce you that Nick (Loony'sCool, our great leader), is still very sick and might not be coming back for a few days, so he left me on charge (despite I'm an awful co-owner, but I count with Kel happy.gif ) I hope he'll be all right soon!

Please feel free to come up with fresh new questions, I'm thinking... but study has drained my brains!

Hi Everyone, sorry I've been gone for a few days. I've been super busy with my novel. Anyways I just wanted to pop on and say Congratulations to Radcliffefreek for Fan of the Foursome of the Month! And I hope you get better soon Nick!

A Question...

How do you think the story would have changed if Salazar Slytherin never left Hogwarts and continued his push for a pure-blood school?

Dawn
Radcliffefreek
How do you think the story would have changed if Salazar Slytherin never left Hogwarts and continued his push for a pure-blood school?

Interesting question, Dawn.. I think that if Salazar was still in Hogwarts, he would do the job which Voldemort wanted to do as a teacher. Slytherin would teach as many students as possible about the pure-blood theory. He would highly discriminate and would try to give the muggle-borns a hard time.. He would teach students that only pure-bloods were worthy of studying at Hogwarts.. He might even turn to be like Voldemort did later on.. If he had the power, he would have thrown the other founders out of the school and establish his own regime... But, Gryffindor isn't likely to lose against Slytherine..

All in all, I know I have written same really confusing stuff.. So, waiting for you guys to wrtie about your views..

P.S. Nick, I hope your allright now..
Loony'sCool
I am back, and feeling much better. I am still getting up a lot of green, and having chest pains off an on. Thank you everyone for caring. It really means a lot. It shows how great the members of VTM are. Now let me try and get the energy to write a response to this interesting question.

How do you think the story would have changed if Salazar Slytherin never left Hogwarts and continued his push for a pure-blood school?

Salazar was very cunning. I guess that he would find some way to get the other founders out. Yet, to me, he would hate kicking the two ladies out. Honestly I think Salazar was a player. After getting rid of the scum beneath his shoes he would turn the school into a devilish place. Only rich pure-bloods would be able to enter. Ministry would hate his cruel teachings, soon leading to a duel between Salazar and Minister of Magic.

I hope that was good enough. I am going to see what else I have missed around the site, then I am going to get some rest.
Sister to the Dark Lord
How do you think the story would have changed if Salazar Slytherin never left Hogwarts and continued his push for a pure-blood school?

Well, I think that if Salazar kept pushing of a pureblooded school, the other three founders would have forced poor Salazar to shut up and accept Muggleborns or kicked him out of the school themselves. There were friends, but if you're constantly going to be on each other's backs, the title of "friend" is seriously in question.
