So, basically, this article, which I can't link right now, is on Veritaserum's home page a couple weeks ago, I believe. There's a Harry Potter exhibit opening in Chicago, IL, USA this summer that will have a lot of stuff from the movies, I believe. But still, you can visit Hagrid's Hut and pass a Quaffle... For those of you obsessed enough, how many are wanting to go to this? My friend and I hope to plan a trip just before school starts back up.

It sounds like a really cool exhibit, but i dont think i will be planning a trip to visit. I would go if i happened to be in the area looking for something to do. However, other than that i doubt i would go.

I actually just went to the exhibit yesterday, and it is amazing. Al lthe props from the movies are spectacular - Hagrid's chair is not so big, then again i'm a big guy haha - but I highly recommend going if you're a fan of Harry Potter. I can tell you guys what else is there if you want...

Wow that sounds like a lot of fun and I'd love to go. Unfortunately I doubt that I'll be able to because it's pretty far away from where I live and I also don't have much time. But that is really cool that they have something like that. And from the way you guys are describing the exhibit it seems pretty awesome to me.

I read on another HP website (it was mugglenet.com...shh) that the exhibit is coming to Boston in October. I checked the Boston Museum of Science and, sure enough, it's coming! I'm so excited I could burst! I don't know if this helps anyone else out; if Boston is closer to them than Chicago, but I hope so.
7134407, please tell me anything and everything about Snape's costume!

I have my ticket already and my friends keep trying to make me promise that I won't do something crazy when I see Snape's costume, but I'm not promising anything!

We went about a month ago for my birthday and let me tell you...it was PHENOMENAL!! The only thing I was a little (ok, a lot!) bummed about was the fact that we couldn't take any photos inside the exhibit. I mean, we knew why we couldn't (because it could compromise the quality of the props), but we were still sad nonetheless. Even my 3-year-old daughter got into it! She loved repotting the Mandrakes!

lisasnape: Snape's costume was incredibly intimidating seeing it up close with his wand and potions books right beside it...very cool and I highly recommend seeing it in Boston!
The madrakes were reallly fun, and throwing a quaffle was quite an experience, but I think one of my favorite props was the cabinet that Lupin uses to teach his students about Bogarts in POA - so cool!

Thanks for the info,
7134407. I can't wait to see Snape's costume up close and personal.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everything and I saw some pictures of the Mandrakes online. That looks like fun!
Such a bummer about the no pictures policy,
ladylila705, but thanks for letting us know.

Yeah the Potions exhibit is really cool, and it is true that flash photography is prohibited. However, you can take a picture of the Weasley's old car that gets beaten to a pulp by the whomping willow in COS!!!!
Are there any other questions about the Exhibit from those of you who aren't able to make the trip??

... What else can be better than such overviews of the exhibition...
