So, I don't know if this would be the correct thread to post in. If not, Mods, please point me in the right direction. Now, I was just reading over different charms and stuff today, and I noticed one thing. It said that Nox is used to turn out the light on a wand when you have used Lumos. It also said that the charm is not known to cause anything else. Well:

Do you think Nox could be used if the wand was pointed at a light that was currently turned on? I guess the same with Lumos? Could it be used to turn on electrical lights? This might only work in Muggle-born wizards who live in the muggle world, because wizards don't need electrical appliances, or they think they're a waste of space.

Well, I don't think Lumos and Nox would work in electrical lights, or even in gas lamps or any other light stuff, because, otherwise, the Deluminator would be useless. Remember the Deluminator was a really strange and creative invention of Dumbledore; if there was another way, much more simple, of turning Muggle lights on and off, the Deluminator wouldn't be as admired as it is, and Dumbledore wouldn't even bothered himself making it smile.gif

Hmm, I don't think so.. Lumos and Nox are just for lighting you're wand, I think. But if the Deluminater was such a strange invention.. then maybe there is an easier way because it wouldn't be strange if it was useless. I think people thought it strange because they didn't know it's true power. Ron found that one out. There is probably another spell that could turn electrical lights on and off but then what would be the use of the Peruvian Darkness Powder... hmm.. I am confusing myself. wink.gif
