So, well then, about the snogging. Too much, not enough, just about right?
I was disappointed that Bonnie didn't get to give Dan a proper good one, what about you lol!!
Actually, I think it was played down. I had expected the film to be full of full frontal, slobber your face off stuff but it wasn't. The kiss with Harry and Cho was better than his and Ginny's...I think he was robbed!
I also thought that Ron should have looked like he was being eaten alive by Lav Lav but it was a bit tame.
Top be honest I was disappointed. Next time Mr Yates, pull out all the stops. I want to see Hermione eat Ron .....alive!

HAHA Yeah me too!!
I was really disappointment with Harry and Ginny's kiss as well. In the books I actually had goose bumps and in the movie it was a bit lame. I like how sweet it was and how the kiss came about, but it really wasn't much of kiss at all. I think they both got robbed on that one!
Maybe we'll see better snogging in DH...I doubt it...but you never know!

I definitely think that Ron and Lavender should have been in more of a tussle while they were kissing...though I thought that their whole relationship thing was portrayed all right. I wish they would have showed the transition from him liking her to him running away from her though. But I could have done with a bit more of a snog fest.
Harry and Ginny's kiss was absolutely terrible. It looked like Bonnie missed Dan's mouth, it was awkward and short. And I didn't like that they didn't have the Quidditch celebration to do the kiss.

I totally agree. A lot of things in the movie were wrong...but that's another thread... I wasn't impressed with Ron's and Lavender's relationship. Or Harry and Ginny's kiss. I also would have liked to have seen the Quidditch celebration. The romance part just fell flat to me, the kissing and the story line. I think it's ALL about the director factor. Boo to Yates! LOL

I hate when the change BIG scenes. Yes, I know everything can't be exact so yes it's ok to change little minor scenes. But in my opinion the kiss btwn Harry & Ginny was a big event so I didn't like how it was different than it was in the book. As for Ron and Lavender it didn't really match up to the one in the book but I think it came close and they made Lavender clingy and annoying enough so it was ok.

Well Ron and Lavender's relationship was done well I think, but I was really disappointed with the Harry/Ginny kiss! I mean why was it in the RoR?? I absolutly loved the scene in the book after the Quidditch match and I think that it would have been a great scene on screen to! Why did they feel the need to change it??? I really hate how sometimes they leave out really important stuff and keep in silly little things that aren't needed. It was really short to, doesn't even come under the title 'snog' it was more of a short, awkward... peck
I really hope the Ron and Hermione one in the next films a lot better than that because we've been waiting long enough to see it!

yeah i was kind of disappointed with the Harry/Ginny snogging scene. and they didnt show her breakup with Dean either. Still, I thought it was a more fun movie than the rest of them. Ginny's breakup with Dean when Harry uses Felix Felicis was hilarious.

I to was disappointed. I expected them to play with Harry and Ginny kissing scenes a bit more. Everyone was expecting a bigger scene like in the book. i disappointed by the scene, they lead up to it and it turned out to be a small scene not how it should have been.

I was actually pleased with the way that Ron and Lavender's relationship was portrayed. I was worried that Yates would make it too kissy-kissy, and we would all be sitting there groaning and wondering when we would get to the point in the movie when Ron realized he was being dumb by dating her. However, points to the girl who played Lavender. She was just the right amount of extremely excited, and her moves certainly brought me to laugh quite a few times.
However, I was upset with the way Harry and Ginny's relationship was portrayed. First, if I may be so frank, what the heck was with Ginny tying Harry's shoe? That was an EXTREME come on to him, and it was so forward that it kind of shocked me. (Plus, my sarcastic brain went: "He's the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One - he's fully capable of tying his own shoe.") Also, I was upset with the severe lack of kissing between the two of them. I've shipped Harry/Ginny since the beginning, and I was very excited when the two of them finally got together in HBP. Then, in the movie, Yates skirted around the kiss. etphonehome was so right:

Cho and Harry's kiss got WAY more attention in GoF than Harry's and Ginny's in this movie. (I would have liked to see it the other way around.) I don't know if I speak for everyone, but I would certainly like to see more focus on Harry and Ginny's relationship (and more kisses!) in DH.

For them to place Harry and Ginny's kiss in the Room of Requirement, the same place where Harry got his first kiss and had kissed Cho, they are just begging for a comparison. And the verdict is that Harry and Cho's kiss was soo much bigger and better than Harry and Ginny's. First of all they had the whole set up incorrect. They were in a room cluttered with objects and not people. The Ron and Lavender kiss stole the scene of where Harry and Ginny should have took place. Second of all, we did not get all fifty angles that we got with Harry and Cho, but just a mere close up of what? A peck on the lips. The kiss was awkward and weird. And I don't know, but the lighting and the zoom up made it look kind of un real, almost fake. Like with the still photos of the Harry and Ginny kiss, it almost looks photoshopped. But whatever, I just think the whole thing is laughable. If this is the kiss that they decide to use to highlight and start the whole Harry and Ginny relationship, then okay!

To be honest, I thought the Harry/Ginny kiss was kinda lame in the movie. Very lame. The thing was, the way it happened in the book was awesome, and the film didn't do it justice. The room of requirement was too grim a place at the time to have such a good thing happen in it.
Plus, I think they could run into some problems. In the book, everybody finds out straight away. However, in the next scene, Ron is non the wiser and Harry doesn't tell him, which begs the question, does he still know at the end of the film/ i guess he could becuase of how Ginny comforts harry after Dumbledore's death, but even that was still kind of a friend way. Hmmm...
The Ron and Lavender kisses were done really well though. Double points for those!

I agree with you, gryffindorgirlie, as I think many of us, that the Harry/Ginny kiss was very lame, it wasn't even a kiss. The problem is that after the match, like in the book, it was a public kiss, so then it was clear for everyone they're together, for Ron as well of course. But in this way it was really confusing. I dunno why Yates had this idea, sure he wanted a more quiet and romantic kiss, but then it should've been a real one. What do you think?

I was a bit dissappointed by the Harry/Ginny kiss too but I think they changed it because they didn't want to repeat the "common room celebration kiss" that they'd already had with Ron and Lavender.
And I think it was a bit of an anti-climax that Harry's kiss was in the Room of Requirement (again!) and nobidy was there to see it. Even with these factors I think it could have done with a bit more passion....after all Ginny has had a crush on Harry since, well, forever!!
The Ron/Hermione kiss should hopefully be better
We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

I'm 100% dissapointed with Harry and Ginny's kiss: it was more like a peck, it wasn't as good and passionated as it should have been, and it doesn't even gives us the hint that they are dating after that at all.
It was extremely short, and... well, I don't know, I didn't like it at all. Is that the best they could do? I mean, all the movie has been done around romance, Harry's first scene, with the waitress, is extremely pointless and stupid, but meant to show Harry's hormones, and that's all they give us? A little kiss? It would have been more romantic if they had kissed on the cheek, seriously, by the point of that kiss.
On the other hand, I've got nothing to say about Ron and Lavender's kiss because it was good, and their "relationship" is funny (for everybody except Hermione, of course) and shows Ron doesn't really like her beyond... er, physical benefits.
But, if that's how Ron and Hermione's kiss will be (since Emma said enthusiastically that she wanted "fireworks on the kiss" and both have said how hard it was but how great it turned out), I'll kick everybody's backsides and hide myself under a rock to die!

I agree with that they didn't want to repeat the common room kiss with Ron and Lavender, but then should've make it in another way. I mean, this is confusing enough, because it's not public. Btw, it was for me too much from Ron and Lavender..
So, we're hoping really that they'll do better with Ron and Hr!

I thought the Harry/Ginny kiss was really lame and small and they didnt put enough attention on them and their relationship. Other then that i really didnt like all the stuff they had to do with the whole kissing and stuff i think they had to much with everyone else and they should have put more thought into the other stuff like Draco and who the half-blood prince was. So more Harry/Ginny less of everyone else and a less focus on the relationships would have been nice.

The only reason Ron and Hermione was so big was because of their amazing kiss in DH!

And I seriously think that Harry and Ginny's kiss should of just been left out. I mean, it was just random and nothing to do with it and everything they did that was Harry/Ginny was soooo awkward. I mean, in the beginning, you could see in Bonnie's eyes and body language that she was hesitating. Terrible, in my opinion.

Harry and Ginny's kiss, their love, everything between them was shown in such a dumb way!
I don't know where the writers and director keep their mind when making the film.
They are so vain
and have such little brain
pathetic losers butchering Harry
why dont you go and get beaten with your Daddy
why dont you disappear without a clue
coz Crabbe and Golyle are scholars before you
