Hello everyone! There have been some staff changes in the forum recently, and I just wanted to update everyone on what title means what and who's who in the forums staff

This is a little outdated, hopefully not for long, but for a quick reference please see the VTM staff page, here.

With the forums and traffic for the site changing, we have decided to do away with the role of Auror on the forums. The remaining aurors have been promoted to Moderators, and the jobs of the Aurors will be taken over by the Moderators. Our two newest moderators are alkisti and Insomnia.

Here's a breakdown for you and who's who:

Site Administration: Matthew, Fuoco, Rodrigo, and Rares. If you have trouble with anything regarding the site and how it is working, please use the contact us forum to get in touch with one of these people.

Forum Administration: Passerby (me) and Jordan. If you have a problem with anything TECHNICAL about the forums, please use the contact us form and Jordan will take a look. If you need help with anything else, just let me know. Feel free to shoot me an Owl for anything having to do with the forums, technical or otherwise, just please understand that some things are out of my capabilities and will need to wait for a programmer to fix. Our names appear in black at the bottom on the member list when we're online.

Moderators: These guys are called Wizengamot, so if you need a moderator, look to the Wizengamot! We have Triad, Just the Droobles, etphonehome, Insomnia, alkisti, Hilly, gaburdette, and pigwidigon. There's always a mod or two around during the day, so sometimes it's very easy to send one of them a PM. Their names appear in grey at the bottom member list. The moderators take care of the day to day forums issues. They are here to ensure that your time spent on the VTM forums is a pleasant one. They enforce the rules, welcome the new members, take care of the sorting hat, organize the forums when the need arises, and keep the peace. The forums could not operate without them! Sometimes they may tell you something you don't want to hear, but I ask that you show them the respect a staff member deserves.

There are other members of the site staff running around on the forums from time to time as well: News Translators, News Administrators, chat staff. . . etc. Feel free to tell them hello, as well!

If you have any question about who to go to with what problem, don't hesitate to ask! We're all relatively friendly and love to help! If you need further explanation on the staffing system here at VTM, please send me an owl!

Hello everyone!

Well by now, most of you will know who I am but for the newer members let me introduce myself again.

My name is Elaine, I have been a member here for..oh is that all...3 1/2 years...I thought it was longer than that! I've been a moderator for a few years too. I'm usually very approachable unless of course I haven't had coffee!!!

Anyway, about me...

I am a mum of 3 and in my everyday life work as a Teaching Assistant with primary aged kids in the UK.

Here's my HP likes and dislikes...

Favourite book: Still Order of the Phoenix, I liked how it took the series to a darker place.
Least Favourite:Chamber of Secrets...I'm with Ron, I'd have run a mile from the spiders!

Favourite character:Sirius Black, but I have a soft spot for Snape!
Least Favourite:Umbridge although she was brilliantly written!

Favourite Movie: I liked them all really. They are all very different, but if I had to choose just one then I think now I'd go for Prisoner of Azkaban.
Least FavouriteChamber of Secrets again...the spiders!

Hi Members!

I'm Triad. I've been here since the dawn of time. I'm the mean Mod, but don't let that put you off. I can be very nice when I need to be!

I'm Australian so I'm usually on when others aren't, which is great because I can catch up with a billion pages worth of posts without more being added. I am a Co-co-ordinator of the Character Quiz with another Mod, Hilly. I also own ( ) the Quizzes, meaning to say if you have a problem with them, or would like to suggest a new one or even apply for any that need a Co-ordinator then you come to me!

I love Disney Movies - specifically Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait for Tim Burton's to come out! It's going to be FANTASTIC!!!

So enough of that, on to Favs and Not-so-Favs!

Favourite book: Philosophers Stone. It was the start and therefore the best,
Least Favourite: Order of the Phoenix. It was pure fanfiction IMO.

Favourite character: Sirius Black. I think he needs a hug.
Least Favourite: Bellatrix Lestrange. She's too......pathetic.

Favourite Movie: Umm....Order of the Phoenix. It left out most of the fanfiction.
Least Favourite: Half Blood Prince. they made Hagrid wrong! I know he's half Giant but in the other movies he was taller and wider, in HBP he was just plain bigger! Did you see his face? It was all wrong!!!

I'm gonna add some more!

Favourite Actor: Dame Maggie Smith. She's the perfect McGonagall!
Least Favourite: Emma Watson. She seriously needs lessons! And botox to stop those eyebrows wriggling!

Favourite Chapter: I'm reading DH right now so it'll have to be The Prince's Tale.
Least Favourite: Every chapter in the books where a good character dies. Especially in DH.
