I looked and didn't see another thread for this. If so, direct me smile.gif

So, I was going to start this series, well book, in a couple days, maybe this weekend, and I was just wondering what other people who have read it thought of it. I've seen part of the movie and it seemed interesting, but I don't clearly understand some parts. Like what is the daemon (sp?) they speak of? Does it clearly explain later on in the book, or am I suppose to understand this?

Peace cool.gif

Yeah I've read the books and they are fantastic. I heard somewhere that one person described them as 'atheism for kids' but don't be put off by that happy.gif They're still great to read.

Daemons are a person's soul that takes on the form of an animal. Children's daemons constantly change form whereas adult's stay in one fixed shape, normally showing a person's personality for everyone to see. For example, if your daemon was a lion, it would mean you are brave and strong. Hope that helps smile.gif

So yeah, I definitely recommend them.

That's what I got as the feel, but I wasn't sure. I'm on about page... 60 or something around there. It's good so far, but I keep getting lost in my own thoughts and have to reread some of the parts (haha, I do that a lot). But I can't wait to read more of it. smile.gif

These books are really good. I read them when they first came out a few years ago. I dont want to give away anything that happens, but the books are real good and the movies are good too, but they are very different from the books. Just like every movie thats based on a book
