Ok, so I just read the news about Jaymie Waylett not coming back for DH. Who else thinks that's terrible? Also, I am sooo mad, words cannot describe it, about Goyle dying instead. It, to me, will ruin DH, and isn't it split to fit the most they can in the movie, to better match it to the book? It's one thing to re-cast Crabbe, which they could've done, rather than killing off a totally different character. I presonally like the Slytherins, so it makes me even more upset because I'm a fan of them. But c'mon, killing off other characters isn't really something I would've guessed they were doing. mad.gif This upsets me sooo much. Let me know what you all think...

I do realize maybe Jaymie Waylett cannot come back because of his jail-time or maybe he's jsut not signed on, but I would've been less upset with them replacing him with another actor. I'm very upset that Goyle is dying in Crabbe's place. I was so happy when Goyle and Malfoy lived through the books, and now it's ruined. sad.gif I guess we can always remember what J.K. Rowling wrote to begin with. Ugh!!!

Nah, I don't think it's that terrible. People who haven't read the book won't know, and it's not something extremely noticeable anyway, it'll just seem like Crabbe wasnt there. I can see why it might bother some people, but it's not like Crabbe and Goyle are popular favorite ch aracters anyway (with a few exceptions, unless I've missed something), so it's not a very big thing like if they'd killed off Hagrid or something. Plus it makes sense that Waylett wouldn't come back for DH, he's not doing too well is he, and the ch aracter might not have seemed important enough to recast (mind you, they cast Pansy in HBP and she had one line).

The least that they could have done since his charactor played a pretty important part in DH was cast another individual to replace him, since he was not able to come back because of his conviction and community service. I agree with snapesgirlforlife where it is wrong to alter a book and kill off an entirely different charactor that was never meant to die to begin with.

Sure there will be people in the theaters that have never opened an HP book and will think that this is the way the chain of events and deck of cards must fall. But for those of us that have read and re-read the entire series, it will be a big disappointment when we see Goyle crash and burn , when it was supoposed to be Crabbe. Granted they are not super "popular" charactors, but they have been around since Book 1 and sorta do play an important part when it comes to Malfoy, even if they never really speak...Remember Susan Bones was in the first two movies, as was Colin Creevey, they are both gone now....

I really dont think Crabbe and Goyle played a very important part in DH, and it wont bother me at all that goyle dies instead of Crabbe. It really isn't important to the story at all. So I think if they have to change things than this one of those things that i dont really care that they change
