Chapter One - The Game

It all started with a game of truth or dare. Who knew things would become so complicated. For you to really understand, let me back up to that fate filled night.

Room of Requirement

“Truth or dare”, shouted James, his face full of anticipation at what might be revealed.

Everyone agreed to play and Rose said, “And to make sure everyone will tell the truth we’ll need a truth potion.”

Right after she said this a vial of clear, odorless liquid appeared. She picked it up and said,” You’ve gotta love this room, I believe its veritaserum”, as she picked it up and sniffed it.

Everyone sat in a circle and James said, “Alright, since I suggested this game, I’ll go first.”

“Truth or dare, Albus”, he said wickedly.

“Truth”, replied Albus. “Okay let’s see, what shall I ask”, he said with a mock thoughtful look on his face.

“Ah, I know, who do you fancy”, he asked with a look of satisfaction on his face.

“Jenna Wood”, he said and promptly went red with embarrassment.

“Truth or dare, Hugo”, he said quickly to get the attention off of his face.

“Dare”, he said not wanting anyone to know what he’s hiding.

“I dare you to kiss Mary Thomas”, he said with an evil grin on his face. Hugo’s face filled with horror at the thought of kissing her.

“But she’s obsessed with me, she’ll probably think I like her”, he said as his stomach started to sink.

“Well, cousin that’s your problem, not mine, tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day so you can do it then”, replied Albus.

“That’s really mean, to get the poor girl’s hopes up when he doesn’t even like her”, said Lily.

“Well, a dare’s a dare, so he has to do it”, replied Albus.

“But what about double dares”, cut in Scorpius.

“No one said anything about double dares at the start of the game”, replied Albus.

“So, that dare is just plain mean”, said Rose angrily.

“Fine, everyone is allowed one double dare, will that satisfy everyone”, he said not wanting the argument to get out of hand.

“Thanks, Scorpius”, said Hugo.

“I’ll do the double dare, what is it”, he asked.

“You have to profess your love to Professor Mcgonagall tomorrow at dinner”, said Albus.

“Anything’s better than having to kiss Mary”, replied Hugo with a grin.

“Hey, its past eleven, we better go if we don’t want to get in trouble”, said Lily.

“Okay, we’ll continue this game later”, said James.

They said their goodbyes and left for their respective common rooms.

Next Day

At breakfast they all met up to discuss their plans for the day.

“I’m going to visit Uncle George at his shop for a while, then go to Honeydukes, grab a butterbeer at The Hog’s Head, and finally I’m going to profess my love for Mcgonagall”, said Hugo.

“So it’s agreed we’ll meet up at The Hog’s Head for lunch”, said Scorpius. They all nodded their heads and left for hogsmeade.

Later that day

“Okay, it’s time “, said Albus.

Hugo got up and walked to the staff table, cleared his throat and said, “Professor Mcgonagall, I can’t take it anymore, I have to tell you something”, he said.

“Yes, boy what is it”, she replied worried.

“I love you”, he blurted out.

“What”, she shouted.

In a slightly lower voice she said, “I think you should see Madam Pomfrey, it is quite clear something is wrong with you”, she said.

“Yes, professor”, he said and then he turned and walked back to sit with his cousins, Rose and Scorpius. “

That wasn’t hard at all”, he said as he grinned and sat down. “Now who’s up for more truth or dare”.

Chapter Two

~*~ Room of Requirement ~*~ (Again)



“Truth or dare, Scorpius”, said Hugo.

“Truth”, he replied.

“Who do you fancy”, asked Hugo.

“Is that the best you’ve got “, he scoffed.

“Well, who is it”, asked James.

“Rose”, he replied. Rose blushed and scooted closer to him; he blushed slightly and held her hand. “Truth or dare, James”, he said.

“Truth “, he said confidently.

“Well, since this seems to be a popular question, I’ll ask it”, he said with a grin. “Who do you fancy”, he asked.

“Marie Bleu”, he said with a grin on his face.

“She’s that transfer student from Beauxbatons, right”, asked Lily.

“Yeah, she’s sweet, kind, and perfect”, he said with a lovestruck look in his eyes.

“Aw, I think he’s in love”, Rose said teasingly.

“Yeah, maybe he’ll actually ask her out now that he’s admitted that he loves her”, said Scorpius lightheartedly. Albus chuckled when he said this.

“Look, who’s talking, you haven’t asked out Jenna yet either”, said James.

“Fair enough”, he replied.

“I’ll ask her out tomorrow if you ask Marie”, he went on.

“Deal”, James replied.

“Okay, that’s enough”, said Rose.

“Yeah, I agree”, replied Lily.

“Hey, let’s get back to the game”, said Hugo.

“Okay, truth or dare, Lily”, James said.

“Truth” she replied.

“Well, you haven’t been asked this yet, so I’ll ask it”, he replied. “Who do you fancy”, he asked.

“Ryan James”, she said confidently.

“Ooh, Lils has a boyfriend”, teased James.

“He’s not my boyfriend”, she said, “yet”.

“Hey Guys, maybe we should include Marie, Jenna, Ryan, and Erin”, said Scorpius.

“Scorpius”, hissed Hugo as his ears started to turn red.

“Erin Finnigan, man she’s way out of your league”, said James, “but maybe you’ll get lucky”.

“That’s a great idea, Scorpius”, said Rose.

He smiled at her and when she smiled back his cheeks turned pink.

“Let’s get back to the game”, said Albus.

“Truth or dare, Rose”, she said.

“Dare”, she replied.

“Okay, well this one is kind of lame but I can’t think of anything else at the moment”, she said blushing a bit.

“I don’t care I’ll still do it”, Rose replied.

“Thanks, I dare you to kiss Scorpius”, she said.

“Okay, this is easy I just have to kiss my boyfriend”, she said chuckling,

“Sorry, I couldn’t think of anything else”, she said with a sheepish look on her face.

“I’m your boyfriend, but I haven’t asked you out yet”, Scorpius said.

“But, you admitted to liking me and that’s the important thing”, she replied.

“Are you going to do your dare”, said James.

“Oh, right”, she said.

Then she moved closer to Scorpius and kissed him.

“There are you happy”, she said to James.

“Yeah, I’m happy”, he replied.

“Okay, then truth or dare Lily”, she said.

“Dare”, she replied.

“I dare you to ask out Ryan tomorrow”, she said.

“Okay, I was going to do that anyway”, she replied.

“So I guess I just read your mind then”, replied Rose.

“Yup, truth or dare James”, she said.

“Dare”, he replied.

“Before you ask her out, I dare you to kiss her”, she replied.

“Okay, I’ll do it”, he said.

“Hey guys it’s almost eleven so we only have time for one more truth or dare”, said Lily.

“Okay, truth or dare, Rose”, he said.

“I must be popular to be picked again so soon, I choose dare”, she replied grinning.

“I dare you to tell Uncle Ron about you and Scorpius”, he said wickedly.

“I’m only agreeing to this because it has to happen sometime and it should be sooner rather than later”, she replied.

They all stood up and gathered their stuff and left for their common rooms; Rose and Scorpius hand in hand.
