Hey everyone!

We are putting together a thread of between 10 to 20 fanfictions to feature as our Best of VTM Fanfictions, and we need your help!

If you would like to nominate a fanfiction to be featured permanently in that thread, please post in this thread with the title of the fanfiction and a link to it as well. That's all you need to do! Fanfictions CAN and SHOULD be nominated more than once. The top ranking fanfictions with nominations here will be placed in a special forum.

A couple of housekeeping items: 1. You may nominate more than one fanfiction, but please do not nominate more than one per post. This might mean that you need to wait until someone else posts so that your posts don't run together. We will allow double posts in this instance. 2. You may NOT nominate your own fanfictions, and you may not ask people to nominate your fanfiction in this thread or solicit nominations in any way. Doing so will result in your being disqualified to have a fanfiction featured in the "Best of" forum. 3. You may post short posts in this thread. You do not need to go into detail about the fanfiction you are nominating unless you just want to tell us why you like it so much. 4. You may not enter negative comments about any fanfiction that is nominated.

Ok, I've got some choices already, so since I'm not allowed to nominate more than once pertime, I've sorted them into categories ^^

My first nomination, category 'completed fan-fiction' goes to... HP's Real World: Hogsmeade, by passerby and pepperimp. This story gave me loads of laughter, seriously, and I think it's really brilliantly written.

This is my favorite L/J story, so I'm going to nominate it.

Summer Rain by TaraLynn. This brought out the best of all the Lily and James stories.

Another nomination for Ask Honey, in my category of 'WIP fan-fiction'. I like this story because I'm not fond of Draco Malfoy and I hadn't read a story about him before this. Most of stories ship Draco with Hermione, or Draco with Ginny, or Draco with a boy, and I feel disgusted by that (sorry). But this story made me like him and showed me another side of him. The OC is greatly written and the plot has given an amazing and unexpected twist.

I nominate The Half Blood Changeling.

Its a really good and original idea. It also has a sequel out called the changeling in hiding, but dont read that until youve read the first one or you will be lost

In my category of 'one-shots: general', I nominate Coming to terms, by harryjpotter. It's a sad, intriguing and great one-shot.
I didn't know if we can nominate one-shots, but just in case.

I want to nominate Summer Chill by Aethonon. Darcy is a brilliant author, and the Seasons of Draco trilogy is amazing! Summer Chill being the first of the three.

I have so many to nominate, but the fist one has to be Ask Honey by zwillo. I'm thrilled that there have already been so many nominations for it. It's one of my favorite WIP's about Draco and an original character named Keely.

It's wonderful that DeSs nominated "Hogsmead:The Real World" as the very first nominee. This fic is light-hearted, well-written, and very clever.

Anytime we get to see a grouchy Snape refer to his teddy bear as "Cuddlewubbins," well, I'm hooked!

I'd like to second the nomination for Summer Chill. Darcy made the whole story seem so natural and believable. It's a wonderful story to read.

I'd like to second the nomination for Our Turn in Time by Aethonon. It's a completed time turner fic in which Hermione travels back to 1975 and meets a 6th year Severus Snape. It is by far the best completed fic I have ever read; so well written and very moving.

I'd like to nominate Once Upon A Dream by fany_monkey (or Stef). It's a great fanfic that has many twists and turns and by the end of it, you're as caught up in it as you were with the original HP series.

I'd like to nominate Harry Potter and the Eighth Horcrux by Harry James Potter.

It's a superb fanfic that really brings you into the story and gets you hooked. The emotionality is very well written within the story and makes you want to read more and more.

So, I'd like to nominate zwillo's Ask Honey. This fanfic has gotten me to become much more of a fan of Draco's.. as well as Keely's even though she's not a real Harry Potter character.

But, yes, definitely one of my favorites

In the same vein, I'd like to nominate Dog Star by harryjpotter. It's about Sirius Black and takes place first year, so far, and has turned me into a Sirius fan. Before reading this fic, I was not a Sirius supporter in the least!

I'd like to second the nomination of Harry Potter and the Eighth Horcrux by Harry James Potter. It really is a great WIP fic. It really got my attention when I started reading it, and now I'm hooked. It's really gripping and I could say it's one of my favorites.

I'd like to nominate The Minster's Daughter by steppy40. It's also amazing. Can we nominate more than one WIP fic? If not then a good completed one by steppy40 is The Unknown Potter and the continuation Death Eater's Revenge

Think back to one-shots you liked, pre-ending of the series, post ending of the series.

I know one fic that, unfortunately, isn't finished and might never be, but it brought a lot of interest to the site... So much so that it was rumored to be a leaked book 7! I need to find the link for it before I mention...

I vote for Autumn Storm, but only if Summer Chill gets in... you can't read one without the other! Both by Aethenon (Darcy).

I would also like to nominate A Glimpse Into the Past. It's a DM/ HG story and I got hooked the minute I began reading it. It also inspired me to write the beginning of my own Draco/ Hermione love story and I cannot wait to read more of Lisa's fanfiction.

I am also going to vote for Winter Sun, the final installment in the Draco Trilogy ("Summer Chill", "Autumn Storm" and "Winter Sun"... all three are excellent and should all be included) written by Aethenon (Darcy).

I second the nomination of The Unknown Potter & the sequel The Death Eater's Revenge by steppy40. Both of the stories make you really feel for each & every character. The main character Stephanie has to be the most amazing character that I have read about after the original Harry Potter characters themselves.

This is a wonderful idea. I am delighted to have the opportunity to give credit to some of the amazing authors that are on this site.

The first fanfiction I would like to nominate is one Harry James Potter nominated. Once Upon a Dream by fany_monkey. It is one of the first fanfictions I read on this site and I can say I was unable to stop reading it. It had some unexpected elements which are what makes this story extraordinary. You get to see one of the mods from around here as the villain. It is quite amusing.

Okay let's start with some of the older fics like I saw they nominated HP's Real World: Hogsmeade by passerby and pepperimp I'd like to also nominated because I was literally falling off my chair laughing with this one. These ladies did a great job.

I'd also like to nominate a fanfic that's full of action and keeps you guys from beginning to end it's actually pretty old because it was one of the ones I read when I first joined the site The Mask by ChOco. I promise it's excellent.
