The story is about Albus, Rose and Scorpius who meet on Hogwarts Express. Also, a misterious girl appears and James seems to be very wary of Scorpius. And soon, Albus will face some changes. How will the first year of these three end?

Chapter I – Fate’s Sorting!
Chapter I – Fate’s Sorting!
There have been nineteen years since the Dark Lord have vanished forever from the Wizarding World, though no one has forgotten the dark times when he spread dispair, fear and death. Following the next year, Harry finds himself in a light of mental doubtness and many other speculations on his behalf, as no one was willing to believe that Lord Voldemort has returned. Later in that year, he loses his closest person to a family, his godfather – Sirius Black. This lost marks his determination in finding and killing Voldemort. The last year he spends at school, he suffers another lost as Albus Dumbledore gets killed. His spiritual mentor and Hogwarts’ Headmaster is killed under his eyes by the most hated teacher, Professor Snape. Driven by a deathly determination, Harry leaves the school and Burrow, accompanied by his best friends – Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger – in search of Horcruxes, the source of Voldemort’s immortality.
After another tragic losts, like Professor Lupin, best friend of his father and godfather, Harry manages to defeat Voldemort with the legendary Elder Wand. Therefore, the years past, bringing peace again in the Wizarding World.
Harry Potter has just parted from his two children who were heading to Hogwarts. With a smiling face, he turned to Ginny, his wife now. She grabbed their daughter – Lily – by hand and returned his smile. She kissed his lips briefly while Ron and Hermione joined them, together with Hugo, their little son, of the same age as Lily. The four of them looked as the Hogwarts’ Express tail turned, disappearing from their visual area in less than a minute.
“There goes another year at the wonderful Hogwarts.” Hermione said, with her brown eyes looking teary.
“Indeed.” Harry approved, remembering of his good and bad times as a student.
“Let’s go home, kids!” said briskly Ginny, hurrying them towards the passage leading to the Muggle world. “We’ll have enough time remembering Hogwarts once each of you has cleaned their rooms.” She added, somehow reproving.
“Mom, can’t I go and play at Hugo’s house?” pleaded Lily, hoping in secret for granting.
“No, love, not before you’ve finished cleaning your room.” Said Ginny with a stern look, already used with these kinds of unexpected wishes.
And talking happily, the Potters and Weasleys passed the barrier, each to his house. And another year was starting at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Albus was in his compartment, looking fascinated at the wild landscapes as they were going further and further from London. He was anxious to start school, seeing as his parents seemed so happy when they told them some of their stories or their grandparents. He really wanted to know Hogwarts. The compartment’s door suddenly opened and someone entered. It was Rose, Ron and Hermione’s daughter.
“Excuse me, can I sit with you?” she asked him shyly. Albus nodded, wondering why she was so formal.
Looking at her closely while she was busy with her trunk, now lifted by the help of Locomotor spell, he noticed that she inherited Hermione’s brown hair but having Ron’s blue eyes and some of his freckles. She was a little shorter than Albus, looking more fragile than she was. He was fond of her, she was pretty, serious and never talked unless asked – thing which reminded Albus that his father said that she was the opposite of Hermione. His admiring was suddenly interrupted as the girl let out a long sigh, sitting beside him.
“Has something happened?” he asked, looking worried and curious.
Rose looked to him, somehow bored, but still she smiled. She liked Albus; it was like a smaller version of his father’s, Harry, for whom she nourished a hidden passion. Her cheeks turned red at this thought, but tried to calm herself quickly as Albus asked her a question.
“Not exactly.” Rose answered. “It’s just that I’m wondering if I’m going to be a Gryffindor like my parents. Sometimes I have doubts concerning this matter.” She added, looking really worried.
“Don’t worry.” Albus smiled to her soothingly, knowing that his father shared the same fear as both of them. “The Sorting Hat will take count of your choice too. So if you don’t want to be in another House than Gryffindor, I’m sure he’ll place you where you want.” He added, looking animated.
“How do you know that?” she asked surprised.
“It’s a secret!” he pressed his finger on his lips, winking to her. Rose chuckled and nodded.
Then the door opened again and in front of it there was standing a boy a little taller than them, with a pointed and white face and a blond hair. His green eyes surveyed the both of them. Entering, he sat down in front of them.
“The others were full.” He said in a bored voice.
After putting his luggage aside, he took out an hour-glass and started to move it, watching the sand. Rose looked with indignation towards Albus, her blue eyes being reproachful. The boy coughed a little, wishing to break the sudden silence, but the other one took him ahead.
“You’re Potter’s son, aren’t you?” he asked.
“Yes.” Albus answered, not knowing if he should take the boy’s tone as a good one or a bad one.
“I’m Scorpius.” He continued, looking right at him. “Scorpius Malfoy.”
This name reminded Rose of her father’s words and, influenced, looked to him a little superior. But Albus smiled to him somehow shy.
“My name is Albus and she is Rose Weasley. You’re a first year too?” he asked him, yearning to get along with him. Harry mentioned his father a countless times, but each time he said that Draco was the fruit of the family he rose in. Therefore, he wanted to know Scorpius first and then decide if he wanted to be friend with him or not.
“That’s weird. Doesn’t look at all like a Weasley.” Scorpius muttered, looking carefully at Rose. “And yes, I’m a first year.” He answered Albus’ question. “Your brother is here too, isn’t him?” he asked then, his eyes having a strange glittering.
“Do you have any business with me?” a voice was heard, as James appeared in front of the door. “Malfoy, no?” he looked at Scorpius, with an evil smirk on his lips.
The boy looked to the other Potter and his eyes were alert and dangerous. It was clear as water that the two of them weren’t on good terms; and Albus could’ve sworn that his brother had met Scorpius some where in the past.
“None.” Came Scorpius’ answer as his fist relaxed. “We were just discussing.”
“Then, be careful that my name isn’t said by your Pure Blood lips.” James retorted, laughing maliciously. Suddenly, behind him appeared another two boys, probably from Gryffindor too.
“Is there a problem, James?”
“None, Sean.” The dark-haired boy answered, looking at his friend still smiling. “Just a small inspection of the pureness.”he added, his eyes sliding from Sean to Scorpius.
Albus and Rose listened to their chat and secretly asked each other what connection was between Scorpius and James, as both of them were from different years. But none of them seemed to want to say more than they did, now glaring at each other. Then James threw himself onto the chair next to Rose, the other two chairs next to Scorpius being occupied by Sean and the other boy. As no one was saying anything, Albus coughed again and glanced at Scorpius who was watching attentive James’ wand, which was swung by him with superiority.
“What is it, Malfoy? Are you tented by a duel?” James asked, grinning pleased.
Scorpius blushed and ignored him, preferring to look out the window. He didn’t want to have problems from the first day, knowing his parents ones. And as it was Potter involved, there was sure to be nothing god – for him, at least.
“He’s so quiet.” Laughed James, his friends joined in too. “I suppose your daddy prohibited to cause any scandal at Hogwarts, has he?” he asked sweetly, his brown eyes looking maliciously at him.
“James, what did Scorpius did to you?” Albus suddenly asked, perplexed by his brother behavior.
James turned to him and with a superior smile, he said the same thing as the person with the same name did once.
“Well… It’s more the fact that he exists, if you know what I mean.”
The other two boys burst into laughs again, even Rose smiled a little; but Albus looked far from being amused by his brother behavior, so different as he knew it. Their parents didn’t raise them to be so mean, not even with a person whose parent was once an enemy. Therefore, looking furiously at James, he rose up and pointed his wand at him, surprising everyone from the compartment.
“What’s happened, Albus?” his brother asked, looking carefully at him. “What’s with the wand?” he added, any trace of amusement vanishing from his face.
“I want you out of here.” Albus muttered, looking serious. “I don’t know what happened between you and Scorpius, but if you came to laugh of him, you’d better leave.”
James raised an eyebrow as a sign of surprise, while on his lips another smirk appeared. He rose up too – he was much taller than Albus – and looked at him like he never did before. Then he turned to Scorpius.
“Lucky my brother was here.” He grinned menacingly and signed the other two to leave with him.
When the door closed behind them, Albus let himself fall onto his place, his wand trembling in his hand. Rose looked at him in surprise, but in the same time with respect. She touched shyly his shaking hand and smiled gently, hoping it will calm him.
“I’ve never done that. Never.” He muttered, looking stunned. “I’ve never confronted James so direct and serious.” He added as he observed their puzzled faces.
“That was kind of you, Albus. It’s easier to confront an enemy than your own brother; you proved courageous.” Rose praised him, still smiling.
“You shouldn’t have done that.” Scorpius said. “You shouldn’t interfere for…me.” He added in a whisper.
“But he did it and you should be thankful.” Rose retorted who looked at him with the same look as Hermione used when something wasn’t done as in a book. “The fact that you don’t know to defend yourself from others ill will, it doesn’t mean that others should support it. So, if you’re not ready to face James, leave it to others who can.” She continued flared up, surprising Albus and making Scorpius being ashamed of him.
“I…I’m…I…” babbled the blond, not knowing what to say.
“A simple thanks would suffice.” Rose helped, with a stingy look.
“Thanks.” Came promptly Scorpius’ answer, looking to Albus. “And I would’ve done it but, you know too, how’s my family situation…and I don’t to worsen it too…”
Albus and Rose looked to each other for a second, both understanding what Scorpius was talking about. Since the Malfoys were accused of being Voldemort’s supporters, their name was only a shame. Even the fact that Lucius Malfoy died changed nothing – this Pure Blood family lost its respect in front of all the Wizarding World and anyone who heard the name Malfoy would only say bad things of it. Even if Lucius’ son – Draco – was only a child at that time, no one would treat him differently, because he was involved in the death of Albus Dumbledore, even if all was a scheme of the dead Headmaster. And the money weren’t helping them at all, many refusing them after hearing their name. Therefore, Albus and Rose were perfectly aware of Scorpius’ situation and knew at once that a fight with one of the Auror Potter’s sons could prove to be an even more troublesome for this unfortunate family. So, none of them said anything, just looked at Scorpius who was examining his nails carefully.
No long before, a plump woman appeared with a trolley full of wizard food and asked them if they wanted something. Scorpius sat up at once and bought three of each product. He thanked her and closed the door before Albus or Rose had the time to buy anything.
“Hey – ” started Rose, but the sweets that fell into her lap made her close her mouth, looking down surprised.
“That’s for earlier.” Said Scorpius, shoving to Albus some sweets too. “It’s just food, but take it as my sign of gratitude from me.” He smiled shyly.
The pair looked to him and returned his smile. Soon, their mood was more relaxed and each of them started to tell the beginnings of the magic within them, laughing and eating with appetite. Something told them that they have just become good friends.
In another compartment, James Potter was sitting in his chair and seemed to meditate over something. He had a face somehow upset, as if someone has just stolen his favorite toy. He didn’t like that his brother protected a git like Scorpius and neither the fact that the latter didn’t talk back to him, like the last time. He looked out the window, his mind travelling back to that day of summer…
“He finally got out from his mother’s eye and decided that it was time that he should have a small trip of recognition. Though Ginny always told him not to stray too far from the house, James was only more curious about it, about what was outside. Therefore, he escaped through the backyard, with his new wand and left his family ground. What he saw outside wasn’t different from what was in his house, so everything seemed to him boring and after half and hour of wandering aimlessly, decided to go back. But something attracted his attention, alerting him. He was in a small forest and this was the worst location ever, as he could be attacked from each side. He held up his wand, his only weapon against an invisible enemy. Why he had the impression it was an enemy, he couldn’t tell, but a person who doesn’t show herself immediately, doesn’t come in peace, does she?
“Show yourself! He yell, his voice scaring some birds which left their tree nest.”
But no one came out, fact which made him dissatisfied and also scared. He decided to hurry back home, his mom was surely worried about him. But he was about to turn, something cracked and he looked scared behind him. Then he saw him – with a pointed and white face, a smaller boy than him appeared from the trees. He had blond hair and green eyes, you could’ve said he was a ghost or a relative of a Veela, because he seemed to glow. But James didn’t like him at all. Better said, his presence irritated him and the fact that he was afraid from a little boy ashamed him and made him angry in the same time.
“Who are you?” James asked, looking down on him.
“And you?” the boy retorted, looking braver than he was.
“I asked first.” James answered irritated and pointing his wand at him.
“Just because you’re allowed a wand, it doesn’t mean you are allowed to use it.” The boy said on a slow voice. “They will expel you from Hogwarts, won’t they?” he asked, surprising James for a moment.
“So what?” James smirked. “Big deal; I’ll tell them that I was scared by a bug and used the wand to defend myself.” He added, looking pleased with his story.
“They wouldn’t let you slip that easily!” hissed the blond, somewhat dissatisfied by the other boy’s arrogance. “And, after all, who are you?” he asked arrogantly.
“James Potter.” Answered James, pleased to see how the green glittering of his eyes faded a little.
“You’re Potter’s son? Harry Potter?” asked in a hushed voice the boy, approaching him, his cloak touching the grass. “That’s why so much foolishness and arrogance just in one place.” He said, finding himself in front of James.
The boy didn’t back off, he stood there facing the nameless boy. He noticed displeased that the other one was taller than him, though he could’ve sworn that he was younger than him. He looked defiantly to the blond and lifted his wand in a way that it stopped right under the pointed chin of the boy.
“The words of nobody like you don’t affect me.” James said, though his actions showed exactly the contrary. “My father is a thousand times braver than yours, I’m sure of it.”
“I know.” The blond answered simply, surprising James once again. “But this doesn’t make him less stupid or arrogant.”
Why he was offending his father James couldn’t understand, seeing that the boy himself recognized that his father was below Harry. But, as always, James didn’t offer too much thinking at someone’s reasons, instead did take actions. He couldn’t even remember when he threw his wand away and pushed himself over the other boy to hit him with all his strength.”
James closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm down the fury that engulfed him each time he remembered that day. Of course, he didn’t regret anything that he had done to Scorpius, even if Ginny and Harry scolded him as long as an year at Hogwarts.
“During the afternoon that James disappeared and returned dirty and with some scratches, the Potters received a visit not exactly pleasant for the boy. When Harry heard the knocks at the door, he couldn’t even imagine the person standing on the other side of the door. Ron always announced his visits and that thanks to Hermione. But he took his wand with him as a precaution and opened the door in guard. And when his eyes fell over the person standing there, they couldn’t believe.
“Draco! What are you doing here?” Harry asked the man with his snowed hair and pale – pointed face. “I – I didn’t expect it.” Harry added, inviting Draco inside and to his surprise, his son too.
“I’m sorry for my unexpected visit, but the events here made it this way.” Draco answered with his cold and slowly voice.
“There’s no problem.” Harry assured him and invited to have a seat on the couch. “But are those events you’re talking about?” he asked, taking a seat on a armchair in front of the guests.
Meanwhile, Ginny came into living and – though surprised by Malfoy’s visit – made it look like he was a regular of the house. With a wand’s movement, she offered the two of them a cup of tea and on the table appeared a plate with home cookies. After this small hospitality, Ginny seated herself close to Harry, looking as intrigued as her husband about Draco and his son’s visit there. And, at a closer inspection, she noticed that the boy wore some bruises and scratches, things that made her suspect what the visit was about.
“Tell us, Draco, what has happened?” she asked, glancing from him and his son.
“Well…” Draco begun, putting his arms around his boy shoulders. “everything is related with Scorpius.”
Harry and Ginny looked surprised to them. That was okay, it was related to Scorpius, but what connection it had with them?!
“…and with James, your son.” Draco added, looking to Harry.
“James?!” Ginny said with a high voice. She turned to her husband and looked threatening.
“What?!” Harry defended himself, not knowing why he was the guilty one there.
“I think we’re about to find out where our little James vanished this afternoon.” Ginny answered on a dangerous tone. “And let’s not forget who forgave him.” She added sweetly.
Harry gulped and looked at his wife how she stormed to James’ room who was brought by his ears in front of the guests. James felt his inside curl when he saw Scorpius in his house with the one who seemed to be his father.
“Now, that the both kids are here, please, explain to me, Draco.” Ginny turned to Draco, but her eyes averted slowly and threatening to her son.
James, as his father, gulped.”
And from that wonderful day, James Potter met Scorpius Malfoy and his father. And the little one was in the same compartment as his brother and his cousin, Rose. If those two become friends, something told him that it wasn’t going right. But maybe wasn’t all lost. After all, Scorpius was a Malfoy and Albus a Potter – each of them will be at different Houses and it was common knowledge that Slytherins and Gryffindors weren’t on good terms.
With this thought, James recovered and joined his friends, laughing again and planning on pranks for the new comers.
An hour later, Hogwarts express stopped and from each compartment could be heard crashes, laughter and yells. Everyone was happy that the long road was finally over and was anxious to get to the castle and dig in the great feast that was expecting them at every start of the year. Not that this thing changed over the year, but it felt like the first always offered a different taste and sensation.
In Albus’ compartment, Rose and Scorpius were discussing animated over the school subjects, while they took their luggage and cages. Albus looked hopeless to them, not knowing what to do as he didn’t know what they were talking about. He didn’t take any interest in books or the subjects they were about to study at school, he was more stressed about his repartition. He definitely didn’t want to be a Slytherin and even if his father assured him that the Sorting Hat took account of his choice too, he couldn’t kill all the doubt in his soul.
“…and I was saying, Arithmancy is by far the most interesting subject from all. The magic of numbers is one of the most complex branches, knowing that a seven time spell said in the same moment is as lethal as Avada Kedavra. Though nobody has ever tried this, Bridget Wenlock – the famous Arithmancess – confirmed this. It’s not like I’m interested in Dark Magic, but a two time spell is a difficult thing even for the best wizards...and imagine to do a seven time spell. You must be a genius to succeed something like this.” Rose said dreamy, going out of the compartment.
“You’re right, Rose, but Arithmancy is a difficult subject and hard to manage, therefore many of us don’t even understand it. Beside, you can take this course starting with second year. But I believe that the most interesting subject is Potions. You have to be a very capable wizard to recognize all the properties of plants which can help you made a potion. And this one you study in first year.” Scorpius retorted, looking proudly and following her closely.
“Potions is an easy subject; mom was the best at it.” Rose replied, a small defying showed in her voice.
“But this doesn’t mean you’re going to be same too.” Scorpius teased her, making the girl blush.
“Maybe, but no one has failed while really trying and this is what I intend to do.” Rose flared up, glaring at Scorpius. “I wonder if the same could be said about you too…” she added maliciously.
“Of course it can. According to you, it’s an easy subject, isn’t it? Therefore, it shouldn’t be any problem, though I’m curious how skilled you’re going to be at Potions.” He smiled, pleased of himself.
“Hmph!” Rose made and clutching on her bird cage, made her way out before Albus who looked amused at a dissatisfied Scorpius.
“You’ve just declared war to her, pal!” the boy giggled, surprising the blond.
“Like it’s my fault!” he muttered and followed Albus out of the train.
“Firs’ year! Firs’ year! Over here!” a voice was heard, a voice well-known to Albus and Rose who smiled immediately in it’s direction and waved to Hagrid.
Scorpius looked scared to him, walking behind his friends. When he got in front of Hagrid, he remembered his father’s words about him – a half-giant who was stupid than he looked – but Scorpius was already used with this. He knew very well that his father was only words. He made him hate the Potters as he got to insult James Potter, though this was the only thing he didn’t regret it. That arrogant James deserved it as he started to fight, like some Muggles. But his little brother…well, this was a different story. Albus Potter – after he knew him better – was a really nice guy and a thousand times better than James, so he decided to stop listening to his father and judge by his own opinions those who he met. Therefore, he walked forward until he stopped near Albus and looked up to Hagrid. The latter turned his hairy face towards him and surprise was written all over it.
“Well, I’ll be damned! You’re Malfoy’s kid, aren’t ya?” the giant asked, smiling.
“Yes, I’m Scorpius Malfoy.” The boy answered, expecting the worse.
“Ah, I’ve met Draco, a lil’ brat, if you a ask me. He had his evil moments, but after You-Know-Who and Lucius’ death, I think he must’ve changed. But that’s me.” Hagrid said, with a bitter smile now. “But, leaving this aside, hurry up we’ll leave immediately at Hogwarts.” He added, his warm smile was again on his face. Soon he started to yell again ‘Firs’ years!’.
Without any further waiting, Albus grabbed Scorpius’ arm and dragged him along. The latter was in shock that no one flinched at his name or even looked down on him. Rose was ahead, waiting anxiously for them, sitting next to another group of little wizards, from first years. Soon, Hagrid joined them with other first years and started to climb down a small road taken by many others before them. When they stopped, they were shown a small patch of little boats which were floating on a shining surface, almost black. Albus smiled and immediately as Hagrid told them to get on the boats, he grabbed his two friends and hurried towards a boat. And as there was place for a fourth person, a girl got on with them. She had a long and shining dark hair and even if she spread a different aura, it was clearly that she was scared about what was coming next. Rose moved more to Scorpius, so the girl remained near Albus who looked at her surprised and with his mouth open. Strange, but this girl reminded him of someone. The girl turned to him and smiled shakily.
“I’m Isabella, and you?”
“I’m Albus, they are Rose and Scorpius.” Albus hurried to answer, mistaking the other two as he moved his hand to each of them. “I mean, she is Rose –” and showed the girl “– and this is Scorpius.”
“I got that from the first time.” Isabella chuckled. “Then, pleased to meet you all.” She said, some of her noble and proud aura appearing in her gestures and words.
“Same here.” Replied Rose, somehow stiffly.
It was clear that she wasn’t pleased at all of Albus’ stupid behavior – because that was for her! – at the new girl. He turned red, he stumbled in words and even confused her with Scorpius!! It was like he was seeing for the first time a girl! She turned displeased her head and looked ahead of them, though all she could see was the dark surface of the lake and the moon’s reflection in it. Meanwhile, Scorpius looked from Rose to Albus and chuckled maliciously at himself; thinking how blind his friend was at Rose’s evident gestures. Though there was something that bothered him, the situation continued to amuse him.
“Soon, ya’ll see Hogwarts!” Hagrid’s voice came across.
And as a gun shot, everyone’s head lifted up to look at the grand castle which windows were lightened seeming to be some welcoming eyes which were expecting their new and old inhabitants. Albus restrained himself an ‘Oh!’ when the castle came in his view, being overwhelmed by his hugeness and by his towers which seemed to fight over being the tallest. Of course, it wasn’t anything like James told him, who fooled him into believing that Hogwarts was a castle like one of those in the stories with Frankenwizard, where ghosts and tortures were the welcoming party. But it was to be expected, his brother always liked to fool him. He wondered from where he had this trait, because, definitely, their father wasn’t this way; and their mother – no way.
“How beautiful.” Isabella said, her eyes mirroring the huge castle.
Albus turned to her and smiled. Well, the castle’s beauty was fading in front of Isabella. She was looking like a Veela, if he thought better. That straight and long hair which fell over her shoulders and back, her small and frail body which was no more than a façade and those dreamy grey eyes; those eyes which were now admiring Hogwarts… All these things made Albus remember his aunt Fleur. With the same proud aura, Isabella seemed to be the brunette copy of his aunt.
“That’s right.” He answered, looking again at the castle which was approaching.
Soon, the boats hit the land, allowing the students to go down and hurry up the warm inside of the castle, of course, guided by Hagrid. Once the entrance doors opened, the children were welcomed by an older witch, with a severe look on her face. She captured all of them in a searching look.
“Thank you, Hagrid. The Headmaster is waiting for you at the dinner table. Go on, I’ll take care of the children.”
“Okay, Professor.” Hagrid answered and with a big wave towards the children, he took ahead of them.
“Now, follow me. You’ll wait in this room until you’ll be called for the Sorting. This Sorting will decide your home for the next seven years of your lives. The Houses are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. You can honor your House by gaining points for your achievements or victories, but in the same time, they can be taken by breaking the school rules or having any unauthorized activities.” McGonagall informed them, stopping them in a large and high room. “You’ll have to wait a little longer.” she added and then left the room.
Once the door closed behind her, the students started whispering, some of them worried because of the Sorting, others bragging about the Houses they were going to be, thanks to their family blood; each seemed preoccupied by something of their own. Albus was worried too, but he remembered his father’s words and calmed down a little, saying to himself that the Sorting Hat will take account of his opinion too. He looked to Rose who seemed as nervous as he was and smiled to her. She returned his smile a little shackled, but it disappeared immediately as Isabella tapped Albus on the shoulder. The boy looked to her, while Scorpius was looking attentive to Rose.
“What does this Sorting refer to, Albus?” she asked, looking confused.
“You don’t know?!” Albus replied amazed. “Are you from Muggle-borns?” he asked, smiling.
“Of course not!” Isabella retorted, her beautiful features strengthening because of indignation. “I haven’t lived in Great Britain and I didn’t knew of Hogwarts until a year ago and last summer when I got the letter. I’m a witch, Albus.” she assured him proudly.
“You don’t have to be offended.” the boy muttered, his cheeks a little red.
“Do you have any problem with the wizards from Muggle-born families?” Rose asked with a cold voice. She was looking at Isabella with the same look Hermione used when Ron criticized her on S.P.E.W. On her cute face, annoying was visible and her eyes seemed like liquid blue. Though she was shorter than Isabella, Rose wasn’t intimated by this and looked defiantly to her. The black-haired girl turned to her surprised and a small smile flickered for a moment on her lips. Her eyes were glowing blissfully.
“None.” she answered with a low voice. “It’s just that I don’t like being considered a Muggle when I’m not.” she added, looking proudly to Rose. “Nothing new; I’m sure that many of us dislike the fact of being considered something they’re not. Am I wrong, Rose?” she asked, smiling broadly.
