Well i know its not so close or related to the story but still the way Dobby cares for Winky as she is so upset about her Master Mr Crouch does anyone except me thinks that Dobby & Winky will pair up in the upcoming books? Hope they does because they will make a cutie pair. What do you think people?

Winky doesn´t like Dobby´s attitude at being free, so she would have to accept that, which I believe would be very hard for her, before she could have something with him.

well...winky firsly has to accept the idea that mr crouch is dead and that she has been freed.secondly,dobby has to teach her to get used to the life she has now,and not to complain very much.i don't think that's very important to the book,because they're just friends.we wouldn't like to see two elfs kissing in the movies,would we?

Why do i think this is going to happen? Erm well if it does happen i think jo will just make it a background story and we wont here much of it. Maybe it could be a little story near the end of book 7 just for a happy ever after story!

I highly doubt it. JKR has said that Winky is stuck with her drinking problem, not to mention she had some serious hero-worship issues... Cute idea though.

As soon as WInky came into the book I saw Dobby/Winky together. Althopugh Harry/Ginny Hermione/Ron are my main ships I do support this one! Dobby has always cared for winky ever since she went into that major depression and once she comes out I think she'll be really greatful and that might spark something. But who knows, its a cute ship and I hop JkR builds on it.

Since Dobby and Winky are not human, it's difficult to understand how their relationship is. However, their common connection to Harry, will make them close to each other, also in elf's way of romance.

An alcoholic Winky and a free Dobby would make perfect houselves for Harry, but I am sure Dobby would 'beat him down' from the galleon a week dumbledore used to pay him.

It would be good for Winky to feel needed again, and she would be the perfect match fo Dobby, bringing some of his enthusiasm under control and tempering his crazier ideas. Imagine Dobby redecorating the Black family house.

Of course Kreacher would have to go first. Maybe Dobby could oblige him and put his head on the wall?

Dobby is a kind, decent, brave house elf that knows right from wrong. Even though he belonged to the Malfoy's, he knew that they were "bad, dark wizards". He helped Harry, even though it meant mental and physical harm for himself!

Winky, however, is a drunken prat. She believes only what she has been taught, and that is to keep bad secrets from the people that those secrets will hurt.

Personally, I think Winky would be more suited with Kreacher. They are both supporters of pro-pure-blood-only wizarding families, and they are both mean.

I think that Dobby and Winky are much better as friends. Dobby is completely different from Winky, and not the good, balancing out different. They have way different views on everything-- purebloods, Harry Potter, s.p.e.w. ... you get the point. They are MUCH better off as just friends

That would be soo cute but unfortunatly I can't see it happening. They have very different views about a lot of things, especially the S.P.E.W. thing. I think if any of them was attracted to the other in that way it would be Dobby, because he is always looking after her and stuff but I don't think Winky would ever feel the same back. But it would be so cute, maybe Dobby can find someone else and they can live in happilyl freedom together!

It would be cute, but I don't think that it would happen. Winky thinks that Dobby is a 'disgraced' elf so I can't see anything romantic going on there... but it would be cute though!

I believe Winky and Dobby do care for each other. I once read fanfic where Winky visited Dobby's grave, and Fleur nearly stepped on her. But it was really sweet, and made me think of this ship.

I think Dobby wouldn't have wanted to be in a relationship with Winky because she's so emotionally unbalanced. He only takes care of her because he feels he has to. He was kind-of disgusted with her in the GoF. He feels she is an embarrassment to him and other house-elves.

That's quite ironic but you are right Nicky. It is ironic though because most other house elves saw Dobbyas an embarassment to them.

I think their relationship would be interesting, if we actually saw Winky in the movie, then I may have changed my answer. But I think that it is cute that Dobby always looked after Winky, like Dobby hiding Winky in the Room of Requirement because she was drunk.

Two house elves in love? Thats so cute! I pretty much say that to any creature (non-human/wizard/witch) relationship, but it just is! I think Dobby got Winky a job at the Hogwart's kitchen because:

1. She needed a job, and like a true friend, Dobby was there for her
2. He absolutely LOVES and adores her
3. He wanted to be around her

I also think that it would be cool to have them together because then Dobby can straighten out her drinking problem

I believe that they would both be a good infuence on each other. Dobby would help Winky get over her old masters, and Winky would be there to pick Dobby up when he falls over because his hats weigh more than he does.

I think they are cute! I thought about that earlier! But now that I put more thought into it, maybe not. They sort of have that brother-sister/cousin relationship where one sort of drags the other a long. Dobby's got that free spirit whilst Winky's got that work-a-holic ethic. She seems to disapprove of Dobby sometimes.
