I didn't read the whole thread, but as far as I've seen, nobody mentioned Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf in LotR, Magneto in X-Men). He's the best actor ever!
And I also like Jackie Chan. Maybe he's not the best to play roles with deep characters, but I like his movies anyway...

The best actresses are, in my opinion, Emma Watson (soooo sweet) and Angelina Jolie (so HOT! *being jealous on Brad Pitt*)...

mmh i like a lot, i love how rupert acts, he is brilliant.also emma watson, robbie coltrane, alan rickman and emma thompson.
out hp world i like chris evans (he is so cute:)), hugh jackman (as you can see i like superheroes movies...), jessica alba, alexis bledel (who is the daughter of an argentinian and a mexican), and love the cast of ER.

Johnny Depp is God! I love nearly everything he's been in right from 21 Jump Street up to Pirates. I wasn't so keen on Ed Wood but then that's what makes him so unique, his ability to play quirky roles. One of my favourite movies is Don Jaun de Marco the one that had the theme sung by Brian Adams 'When you love a woman', he was so hot in that. Yes he is gorgeous, but he's also a great actor who does great accents (Finding Neverland). For hunk value I like Brad Pitt and for acting value I'd have to say definately Alan Rickman but for the combination it's Mr Depp for me!

Adam sandler. he is soo funny. He's going up on the acting ladder. he is a good comedian. I think that he'll get more bigger in the future. Adam Brody is also a good actor. i think that he should try out for movies.He's hott and he's really good at acting high. lol. think that's it.

My favorites are kind of obscure, but here goes...

1. Colin Firth- I became obsessed with his movies after seeing the BBC Pride and Prejudice.
2. Johnny Depp- What else can I say?
3. Cary Grant- Sooo handsome, I loved him in Arsenic and Old Lace.
4.Ralf Fiennes- Awesome Voldemort, and I love him in Wuthering Heights

Ewan McGregor, he's so beautiful, sings like an angel, and doesn't make any apologies about who he is. I've seen Moulin Rouge way to much and I still cry at the end because of his amasing performance.

okay...i'll rather not mention the HP actors and actresses that would be too difficult for me, then

Johnny Depp all the way! I love all his movies, I love his acting style, he always makes my day a little bit brighter, and whenever I see him on the red carpet, I envy the crap out of the fangirls who get to be there.

If I had to pick a favorite actress, I'd probably go with Keira Knightly. I didn't like her that well at first, but she did an excellent job in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, so I just had to let that be recognised.

I think my favorite Jonny Depp movie is Sleepy Hallow, but it's not my favorite perfomance, I think that DMC is where he is most enjoyable. Even though, I think the first movie over all is better, the acting was much better all around in the second.

I agree with you. My fav. is Sleepy Hollow but Depp's best in DMC......but I prefer the second movie to the first for now because it seems to have more action and suspense.

The second is awsome, but when it comes to movies, I always look for the better story and writting. The second Matrix has more action than the first, but I almost fell alseep during it. But one thing I was really glad for in this sequal is that they didn't repeat the jokes of the first, I really don't like that. When Jack says "hide the rum," it's an node to the first without actually saying the words again.
One thing I noticed about Jonny is that he kind of speaks half-cent, I can't take credit for the pun on the word "accent," my sister made it up. It's like American and something else, does he live in England now, because that would explain it. But other actors have that too. Like Nicole Kidman, second favorite actress, you can always tell when she was just in Austriala because her accent is much thicker, and of course the oppeset is true if she's just been in America. And Ewan McGregor lives in London, but he's from Scotland, so when he speaks it's a mixture of both.

My favorite Actor is ....ORLANDO BLOOM!!!!! I have only seen 2 movies with him in it but I still love him. I saw Lord of the Rings (as Legolas Greenleaf) and Pirates of the Caribbian (as William (Will) Turner). My favorite actress is probobly Emma Watson. She is awsome.

Orlando is kinda amasing, has anyone seen Elizabeth Town? He's very good in it, but anything Camren Crowe makes is pretty extraordaniary. But I love him as Will Turner because he trys so hard to be the hero, and do what he thinks he should, and his love for Elizabeth makes him very indearing.

I really liked Elizabeth Town. However, I can't seem to convince anyone to see it. I liked the relationship/ reaction he had to his new relatives, and Kirsten Dunst has been one of my favorite actresses since Interview with the Vampire.

My favourite actors at the present are:
Amazing Paul Bettany. He is brilliant and funny and is a very good actor.
Christopher Lee. There's nothing else I can say than: brilliant. Owns one of the finest voices in the world.
Jack Nicholson is the only American actor on my list. He is very good and versatile. Does both comedy and drama amazingly.

Also actors like David Tennant, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman are my favourites.

my favourite actor would be, without a doubt, Johnny Depp...he's like the coolest personality ever to have stepped into Hollywood...of course i've always kind of liked Bruce Willis too...but not my favourite...if this is not just about hollywood actors i'd say my favourite Bollywood actor would be John Abraham and Shahrukh Khan...i really dont have any favourite actresses ...

there are 2 girls i love are Bonnie Wright Which is AKA Ginny Weasley i love her she is so pretty. and i love Emma Watson She is beautiful. but i favorite Actress is Bonnie Wright

I dont have a specific favorite actor/actress because they all act differently when thier characters need it, but anything I've seen her in Brittany Murphy pretty much blows my mind. Watch Don't Say A Word and I dare you to tell me she isnt a brilliant actress.

She's such a bubbly, happy, loud person, and then she takes on roles that are a complete 180 personality wise. She's really talented.

I nearly die laughing whenever I see one of his movies; they're silent films and they are hysterical... He wrote, directed, composed the music for, and starred in his movies and they are all pure genius.

my favorite actor ever is Michael J fox followed Very very VERY close behind by charlie sheen.. he is just amazing with his acting the delivery on his one liners is the best i just love him. he was so cute when he was younger (not in that way i just admire him) but the actor i love the looks of is heath ledger, ryan phillippe and sean biggerstaff (oliver wood) my favorite actresses are julia stiles and amanda byines ( i dont no if thats how you spell her last name), oh and i love collin firth

With the variety of actors that we have now, some just for their chocolate boys looks or for their die-hard acting, it's really tough to choose one.
I guess I'll choose Hayden Christiansen for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker, he looked great and acted very well in the movies. And yes ofcourse there's Leonardo Dicaprio for his Jack Dawson role.

I also really like Billie Piper as an actress and I was very sad to see her leave Doctor Who As you can see I love Doctor Who!!! And she was one of the best characters in it!!! I would actually really like to meet her !!!! And David Tennant of course !!!

LOL I know ... I sound like a ... name I shouldn't say here but I'm not ... really.

This is super hard for me but my top three male actors would have to be:

1. Leonardo DiCaprio- Ever since his days on The Growing Pains (you all watched that show, dont deny it!) I fell in love with his looks, of course, but as well as his acting ability. Between Titanic, Blood Diamond, Aviator, The Departed, all highly sucessful films, that says something. I think he is one of the best male actors of all time. Very versitile.

2. Johnny Depp- He cant not be on anyones list. Come on, he rocks every movie he does. From Pirates to Edward Scissor Hands to Charlie, to Finding Neverland, everything. He is a multitalented actor.

3. James Franco- Right now I think that not many people have heard of him, but he is and amazing actor. He is probably best known for his James Dean movie, if not the best friend of Peter Parker in Spiderman. He has been in other movies Annapolis, Fly Boys, just to name a few. I think he will be very big in a year or so, hopefully he gets his justice.


And for the girls:

1. Reese Witherspoon- I love her. Period. End of story. She is an amazing actress. From Pleasentville all the way to Legally Blonde, to Vanity Fair and Walk the Line. Her talent outshines alot of actresses this day and age.

2.Kate Winslet- She has proved herself in so much. From early days on the Titanic and in Hamlet, to Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind, to Finding Neverland and to Little Children. She has shined quite far ahead in alot of ways.

3. Kirstin Dunst- I had a hard time picking a third one, no one really stood out in my mind, but then I thought of her. She has a certain air to her when she is in a movie and I love that. She was in a few movies that werent nescarily "classics" but I still think she shines. From Little Woman to Devil's Arithmetic to Spiderman to Mary Antionette. I can't wait to see what else she comes up with.



I do have to mention my favorite comedy actors, because they have their own category:

Will Ferell, Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Steve Carell, Adam Sandler, Vince Vaughn, and of course Sasha Baren Cohen..

None of my friends have any idea who he is but, Charlie Hunnam has to be one of the hottest guys ever. And he can act.

My favourite actor is Sean William Scott because I think he is real good looking and I also absolutely l-o-v-e the job he did in the very original "Dude Where's My Car" although that was a very long time ago. But him and Ashton Kutcher were so good in that movie. Anyway, he is my ffavourite actor in looks and ability.

Most of my favourite film stars are male, I'm not sure why but they just are.

Brad Pitt - I think he is a great actor. If anyones seen Kalifornia where he has to play a serial killer, he's really good at that. I do forget that I'm watching Brad Pitt. Then there's the small role where he plays the boxer in Snatch, he does that very well too. There are several others he's done I love but I won't sit here and list them all. I have to say my favourite role of his is in fight club, that's what started my Pitt obsession for sure.
Although one of his earlier films Cutting Class...just makes me laugh

Edward Norton - Amazing in Fight Club. I'd say he maybe outshines Brad Pitt in this one, but then the two actors just play off the other. They go well together. There's just something about him I love. He gives off something in his films that I can't explain, maybe it's just me.

Leonardo Di Caprio - I did think he was a little bit over rated in the past. But since watching Blood Diamond and The Departed my opinion has completely changed. Catch me if you can is another he's awesome in.

I want to throw a female in there but the only one that seems to stand out in my mind is Cameron Diaz...I couldn't say why. She makes me laugh

I just saw Titanic all the way through for the first time the other day so I want to add these amazing actors to my favourites:

Kate Winslet - She's always been on my list of favourites but seeing her in this movie heightened my love for her. She's amazing.

Billy Zane - He's great. Aha. He made a good bad guy. I'd like to see something else that he's in.

Leonardo DiCaprio - He is amazing. He's my new favourite of ... right now. He is so incredibly talented and versitile in everything he's in. I look up to him very much, being an actress myself.
