I heart SIRIUS
What was up in that memory of Snapes? Lily seemed to hate james soooo much! Do you think james forced her to marry him???

P.S. This is my first time on this web so if you had any poiinters i would appreciate them

Yes, I think Lily loved James. I think it happened as Lupin and Sirius explained. After James's head deflated a little, Lily started dating him. Everyone talks about what a good person James was. I think he just had some growing up to do.

*gapes* ohmy.gif Are you kidding me? OF COURSE she did! Why wouldn't she? She and James were the best ship...since...sliced bread! (even though thats not a ship... tongue.gif )

You heard Sirius. You heard Remus. Why would they lie to Harry? They said it themselves: Lily and James fell in love in sixth or seventh year. Remember? After James' head "shrunk". And James, would NEVER force Lily into anything. He liked her far too much. He wasn't like that, regardless of how he acted when he was 15. Besides, that would mean everyone was lying when they talked about his parents. And I dont think they were.

Like I said above, Sirius and Remus wouldn't have lied to Harry about that kind of thing.

(sorry if I got a little "rantish" there, but I feel like I should defend them, it being my favorite ship and all.)

Thats all right i kinda deserved it (lol). I always put out the ridiculous topics

If James didn't love Lily, then why did he die fighting Voldermort to protect her and Harry? Everybody knew that they were in love and always supported them.
embraced_soul
duh! Of course she did!

as mcgonnagal said; sirius and lupin cleared that up. they started dating last year and james wasnt so arrogant.

WOAH!!!

I cant believe you're doubting Lily-James! This is almost slanderous!

Of course she did.

Now now, play nicely. wink.gif

As you are totally entitled to your own opinion, so is I heart SIRIUS. Everyone has their own theories and interpretations when it comes to the HP books, and in a forums setting, everyone has got to learn to accept and respect that.

Mind you, I'm not picking on you personally, Grinch!! This is to everyone, really. I've noticed this thread among numerous others with topics like this, tend to attract posts like Grinch's...so just a friendly reminder about what this forum is supposed to be about yeah? wink.gif

I definetly think she did and that James didn't force her into anything. I'm not sure how he would have anyway. Also, if James did that I'm pretty sure Remus and Sirius would know. And neither of them would stand for that, especialy Remus. The only reason she didn't like James in their fifth year was because, lets face it, James was a jerk.

Now I know this is off topic but I'm sure it's in the books somwhere but I can't remember it and it's driving me crazy.(also I didn't see any point for making a new topic) Does anyone know Harry's middle name? :?
Mizzersmidd
Lily did love James because she named her son Harry J. Potter. If you read book 5 OotP on the part where he was on trial. That was a bad trial, (it could have bee horrible of Dumbledore didn't show up on time.) off topic. sad.gif

Hm..well, I, like most everyone, believe that Lily loved James. Of course, who knows, she could've been forced into a relationship with him because it could've been necassary for something, and then grew to love him.

I agree with Remus and Sirius telling Harry the truth, but Remus and Sirius have absolutely no idea what's going on in Lily's head. Of course they wouldn't lie to Harry, but do you really think that they wanted to hurt Harry's feelings by telling him that his own mother didn't love his father (at first)?

Hehe, I'm just stating, not trying to make it sound as though I don't think Lily loved James. Then again, I'm one of the few (if any) who try to defend weird topics that hardly anyone seem to agree on. wink.gif
