Funnie how I came across this topic..
Last year I had two very kool best friends! I dunno if you could compare it to the HP trio, but we always hung out whenever we could & would always laugh at anything, even dumb things. We were some what tight the year before buh just good friends & i guess it progressed & we eventually were best friends. So we spent last year always hanging out with each other no matter what, not caring what people thought. Even though we hung out with each other so much we did hang out with other people. Towards the end of that year.. things started getting rough. I always wanted to hang out with other people & so would my friends, but still hang out with the trio. Then my 2 best friends got into a big fight and things just didn't end up working out. I still wanted to be friends with them both, but it was hard sort of.

It's now been one year later and things have definitly changed. I am still best friends with my one friend buh the other i'm not so much. I hardly talked to her since school started this year. It was weird and awkward, but we didn't think too much of it. I then started talkin to her more, but not as much as the years before. I think the reason why i'm still best friends with my other friend is because she was really always my best friend, even when I didnt realize it as a kid. We were actually friends before we started school, so we go way back.

It's always good to have best friends, but sometimes things just get complicated, so don't always hang with them and exclude others.

yes... i never thought about it until i read this thread. i then realised that my best friend at school is a lot like Hermione... she loves being right and is rather smart. i'm kinda like Harry... the overprotective one. and my other friend is kinda like Ron... she's not that smart... and can be quite humorous when she wants to. she is also very protective of her little brother, which makes me think of HBP with ron being really overprotective of Ginny. I then have another friend that also is quite close but not as close as the two i've already mensioned and she is very shy but once you get to know her she is really funny and outgoing which makes me think of her being a bit like Ginny.

I wish I had a friendship like the trio, but I don't think that you can compare what we had to them...and there were four of us (3 girls and a guy). I'm not really sure who each of us are because we are all about two of them put together, except Gabby who is very Hermione, but we were really good friends in one class. We are all still really good friends, and my best friend Brittany is still my best friend, but we don't hang out all together anymore. It's really hard to stay such good friends, especially when you don't share any classes with them anymore. We'll stay friends, but we wont have the bond we had we did when we were all together (we're all kind of opposites, which is why we worked so well together).

About two years ago,in primary school,I had two friends who you would never think we would get on, but we did.We used to do everything together and we wouldn't care what other people thoguht and I guess you could say that we had similar people, like the trio, in our trio.I know you can't compare what the actual trio have to what you have.Anyway...I was like the nerd of the group and my other two friend were like ron and harry,yet we are girls!Don't worry,just showing you in practical form! Anywho...Me and my friend that was similar to ron would fight constantly but we were like best mates all the time,we just argued alot!I mean alot!

Anyway..To cut a long story short,I went to highschool and they went to a different highschool to me and now we hardly keep in touch.Its really sad as you would think that if you are best friends you would try to make it work.But it never...

But now that I am at a new school I have made many friends and now I have another two best mates!

I think my friends and I are kind of like the Marauders more than the trio..kinda..Maybe.

Deanna would be James, she can get a big head and out of control sometimes but has her sights set on a special someone.

Faith would've been Peter, though not really, she was the new girl and we decided to show her around, though she was never quite active in anything we did.

I think that leaves me Sirius.. I don't know how to describe me but you obviously don't care..

I just have 4 best friends which is annoying because in games or something where you need a partner, someone always gets left out but I suppose you have to live with it.

i have a friendship like the trio. I am best friends with two guys. Sometimes it's pretty crazy, but I enjoy it. The only problem is i am the only girl so sometimes i get a little lonely, and sometimes i gets weird hanging out with only guys. they are just so different from girls you know?

Well, I don't have a freindship like the trio, but I know a group of people who do.

My circle of friends were baisicly like the marauders. We were the people who hated one person, and then we humiliate them. All four of us. [We even had the right number!] Now onto the 'trio' at my school. Two of them were in my 'marauder' group, but someone stole them away. Some friends they were, huh? But those three are inseperable.

Really, now that I think of it, two people who are my great friends argue with each other alot, and I am the neutral party. Sound a bit like Ron and Hermione, with me as Harry?

i have a friendship like the trio, and i guess that i am like hermione because i am the only girl, my boyfriend must be ron coz we started dating just like hermione and ron oh and his natural hair colour is red (he tries to cover it up by dyeing it black (no he isnt emo) with a bennie, doesnt work) oh oh and my hair is bushy when i dont straiten it for hours (which i do everyday) and our other friend must be harry lol dave the hard core drummer is harry potter...

Yeah I do have a friendship like the trio. Except It's 2 girls and a guy. I'm the Hermione of the group because I'm the only one with even an ounce of common sense, my friend Nicole is definitely the Ron of the group with just a touch of Drama Queen/Prima Donna-ness, and then Patrick is the Harry of the group because he's kinda like Harry except a little more eccentric. We do everything together and are always with each other. It's really cool.

what can i say? harry, ron and hermione have a very unique friendship that has been able to withstand a lot of trails. the fact that all of them frequently argue and there is at least one serious dispute within the trio once a year (book), they always end the book, on the Hogwarts express, going back to king's cross- sitting together and sharing their love for each other. few people can be blessed with a friendship as rare and strong as that.

don't worry Tigers Eye. friends are easy to make if you are yourself and don't pretend to be someone you're not. follow hermione's advice, loosen up. im sure that you'll find friends as good as the ones you had before your move very soon.

also. with today's technology, you can easily keep up with people almost anywhere in the world. so go ahead and send them an e-mail or just call them. its not like you have to wait 3 months for a letter to get through customs....

Sadly, I do not. I know my personality leaves the impression of an unghmmm, but it is mostly because I am too reserved to make much of an effort. I am a male Hermione to the extreme. I am a total bookworm (and possess that amazing stare she gives Ron). I am waiting for someone to rescue me from a mountain troll so we can be friends.

Well sort of. I have a group of friends but mostly play with Shynice,Autum,Alysha and Stephanie. Autum and Shynice are in one ''trio'' and Stephanie and Alysha are in another ''trio''. Stephanie would be Ron because she is crazy yet well meant and Alysha is Harry for his more gentle qualities. Autum would be Ron because we always fight over small things but make it up in the end and Shynice is Harry because she is adventurous like Harry.

Back at my old school. I was in a trio. However, we were all guys. Kind of hard to figure out who we'd be though. Kevin would be Ron. Tiel would be Harry. I would be Hermione.

In 7th and 8th grade i had two friends and we were like the trio but we called out selves the three musketters. we were all girls, we were all mostly ron/harry but none of us were hermiony.

I used to have a friendship like the trio, though we were more of a quartet. Once college happened, one of us got too wrapped up in his new friends, though so we were down to a trio. But now we're a duo, due to our friend dying from pneumonia.

I'm very happy to say that I am in a trio. I would say that I was like Hermione, I can apparently do the stare she's always giving Ron perfectly, although I'm not all books and cleverness. My best friends are both guys to and one is just like Harry and always getting himself into trouble. The other is like Ron just without the older brothers and younger sister. Our trio are always arguing but we always make it up in the end.

My huband who is my best friend is definately Harry..He is always in the middle of the challenge, and although he's very talented he can be a bit of a goof off.

My BFF Aimie is absolutely Ron. True blue, loyal friend to the end, she can be a bit clumsy, and maybe not always there up stairs but I wouldn't want to have anybody else by my side in a crisis.
I am Hermione. I read too much, and have too many opinions on everything, I tend to be the rescuer in the brains department when it comes to my own Harry and Ron. We are a triangle no doubt about it, and I would be lost without my other sides!

Yes, I do. well, sort of. we are three girls instead of two guys and a girl. But me and my two friends had three things we loved the most. Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Sailor Moon. Gosh those were the days. We made home videos of us dressed up like characters and we would mix the three story lines in together to make our own little story. We had so much fun!

Yes i do have a friendship like the trio except instead of 2 boys and a girl we are all girls. There is also 3 of us so that makes us a trio. I am like the Hermione of us because i'm the smart one and i can be a bit moany at times, Emma a.k.a. Emmz is the Ron of us because out of us all she is the funniest(because we are all quite funny) and Rebecca a.k.a. Becca is the Harry of us because she is really brave.

I have two best friends. So we're a trio, only we're are three girl's. I like to think that i'm the Ron of the trio-i'm loyal to them, and i would basically do anything for them. Plus i'm rather sarcastic.

Eleanor i believe is Hermione-she's mosdest and too brainy for her own good.

Jamiera i'd say is the Harry (duh). She sort of sticks up for what she thinks is right, and tries not to care what other's think. Sort f like Harry i suppose. Plus she's brave.

Sometimes i feel left out like Ron is sometimes, but basically that's what makes a friendship stronger-that you know youa re always accepted. We have a trio friendship, i like to think. Though when my good friend comes, it's like adding a comepltely bizzare Luna to the trio (IE. She is not exactly what you could call normal).

I do if you can count cousions where best friends aswell as cousions.
So i quess that could count...
At scholl i pefer to have just one person with me so i don't when i'm at school.

i used to (before i moved, and then they moved too) we were close like the trio, but we were also very marauder-y (marauder-y marauder-ish, marauder-like, whatever) even though we were girls and there were only three of us. in fact, i gave them and me the marauders' nicknames.

Yes but it's three girls... and we're not witches... and I'm the only one who likes HP... but yeah we are like the trio, always there for each other.
But we have been friends since 6th grade, we are 8th graders now and we don't have any classes together, or lunch, but we are always together between classes.
But I'm really sad because one of them is going to be home schooled and she isn't coming back next week, and know I won't get to see her as much as I used too and I'm going to cry just thinking about it...

I've had friendships that were trios before. They seem less stable than a friendship with just two. And Harry/Hermione/Ron do have unstable times! lol

I hate that caught in the middle feeling, so I don't really like trio friendships very much. But, it seems to work for the HP trio.

The first one.. is one boy and two girls. I'm Harry, the other girl is Hermione and the boy is Ron. Cause 'Ron' and I are so close. We can talk about everything. But 'Hermione' is also a really really good friend. She looks like Hermione too Anyways.. 'Ron' and 'Hermione' were really flirting with each other, and everyone knew that it would come one day that they were going to date each other. Well, so it happened, but they started fighting all the time, so it ended.. *sigh* Now they can't stand the sight of each other. It's what Harry's afraid of, right? Ron and Hermione going out, but when it ends, they've ruined the friendship as well..

The second trio, is me and two other girls. We understand each other SO well, it's scary. Also, we have nicknames, where I'm 'heart', and the others are 'flower' and 'cucumber'. It's so funny Also, in Norwegian, the first letters are B, A and H, and at MSN, when you write (bah) you get a black sheep. So now we're the black sheep. We don't work without each other -- there simply is no black sheep with two persons. GO BAH!

I was bff's with Sydney and Megan.
They liked to fight a lot, but they always make up in the end, ya know???

Well, in seventh grade, Sydney herd Megan talking about her and told some other friends, where Megan heard her at it, both assuming the other was talkig crud, which wasnt true.

I have a friendship like The Golden Trio. Only it's just me and my buddy. So I suposse we're more like Dean and Seamus. Only its a girl (thats me) and a guy (thats Winston.).


I have ALOT of other friends, but they all know that if it came down to him or them he's first. Always. We are very loyal to each other even though I've moved and his mother HATES me! (Not without good reason, believe me! I'm friggin crazy!)

Well i kinda used to have a friendship like the trio in the fact that there were 3 of us. and one was really smart and me and the other girl were always procrastinating and i suppose im a bit of a comic relief. bUt not anymore i could see a trio forming but it wouldnt be the same personailitys as ron harry hermione

I'm sorry to say...no, i don't really have a friendship like the trio's. It's only me & my best friend, but we are really close to each other, almost like sisters. I have other friends as well, but their not very trustworthy if you ask me, more like just day to day associates, really.

I have a pair of friends that are almost unseparable. I mean all three of us just do everything together. We go to the movies together, we eat together, when we go out sometimes all three of us go in the same car, hang out at the mall together, I actually known them ever since 9th grade and from then on we have stuck it out together through the goods and bads of high school and hopefully college.

Well I wouldn't say I have one exactly like the trio, because we're not ALWAYS together like they are. Though we are really close, we met in kindgergarten and ever since then we've been a trio, but last year we wern't as close because I made many new friends and started to hang out with them, but we're still extremely close, and we got even closer at the end of last year, and I suppose we'll be more of a trio again this year. Though it's the opposite of the trio, two girls and one guy (me).
I'm more of the Ron, I'm the chicken lol. One of them is more like Hermione and the other one is not like any of them, she's uniqe.
Like the trio, we're very daredevil and have a lot of adventures, ever sice kindy. When we were in kindy we called ourselves spies, and once there was this door we called the witch door. It had spiderwebs, and was under the school. We could hear noises in there, and we thought there was a witch. Now 11 years later, we wag classes sometimes, trying to open it, it's pretty cool. That's what got us close again last year

I used to have a friendship like the trio's. It was me and two boys. We always had so much fun together. We skied together and had like a million inside jokes. But then I switched schools for 3 years. And now we are all in our second year of high school(i switched schools again), and things never really were the same for us again last year. It kinda makes me sad actually. I wish I could go back in time and change things... But hey, thats life right? I guess I just sort of thought that it would go back to the way it used to be. But people grow up and move on. Life right?

You could say I do, but I guess I'd actually have two groups, there's me and two of my friends, but we're all girls, no one's particularly like any one of the Harry Potter trio, but I suppose you could say one of them is more on the Ron side. The other group I guess you could say is more like the expanded trio, 3 boys, used to be four, one moved, and two girls, Neville, Jinny, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, I'm Ginny.

I think I do, but my trio is a cuatro. There's four of us. It's me, my boyfriend, my best friend, and then my boyfriend's best friend who has become my best friend too. My best friend Mary doesn't hang out with me and my boyfriend,Adam, and boyfriend's friend, Skylar as much. So it's msotly me and two boys (remidns me of Harry, Ron, and Hermione), but when Mary can make it we're all together. We always thought that since me and Adam were together then Skylar and MAry would be together too, but their just good friends. We all get along great and I know we would do anything for each other. we've known each other for about 8 or 9 years. We're super close and I hope I stay friends with them for as long as possible. I don't think we act like Harry, Ron, or Hermione as far as our personalities though. Maybe the fact that Skylar hates spiders, but that's it. I have other great friends too, but those are my besties.

Well back in Kindergarden I had a Trio I think i was Harry and my guy friend was Ron then the other Girl was Hermione but unfortunately we grew apart when we all switched schools me and "Ron" stayed close all through school but when we hit college we kinda lost our friendship. now I am in a new trio that is falling apart i would say that i was a Harry again kinda the group leader then my sister was more like Hermione with bits of Ron and then my now fiancee well he was a Ron with bits of Harry and Hermione it is kinda weird i know but that is how it is unfortunately my sister is the one who is leaving us in this trio but life happens unfortunately
