Are you kidding? Why would we leave you guys out? You guys live in Harry Potter land! Just saying, though, what ARE we doing on that day? Meeting each other on Veritaserum and saying "happy marauder day"? Just wondering.

Good point you two, and I really don't think we could meet up anyways, considering most of us are all from different areas! I really hadn't thought about what we would do on that day, been too busy with this stupid banner project (no offense guys). Hmm I don't know what we should do, any ideas?

Well I think a certain number of people who are interrested just concentrate on the banner and then when that is complete we can focus on the day itself and the rest of us can carry on discussing about the marauders so it doesn't get in the way of anything. What do you think?

Ha Ha Ha, we'll be lucky to get this banner if I am the one to keep working on it! Man this thing is soooo confusing just to make a link!

I am sorry the banner is so hard! I would help but I am a complete disaster with things like that, it would take me about three years to finish! About the marauder day, I don't know if there is anything we can do. Of course everyone has to be involved which is kind of hard, but we will get it figured out. Everyone think about something we can do and hopefully someone can come up with something. I have a few ideas but they are kind of lame so I wont post them.

I agree that we should start up a discussion so does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, the banner shall be figured out even if I have to blow a gasket to figure it out. And about the Marauder Day, it is on the 21st of June right? And, maybe we could all buy marauder tee shirts and wear them on that day? HMMM I really don't know.

So I am not sure how this is going to work, but I was thinking that maybe we could play marauder games or something. Like put a test together to see how well you know them, just stuff like that. For the test, one of those see how well you know your friends know you tests could be used just make a fun quiz and see who gets the highest score. I know it is kind of lame but what do you think? I bet I could do it, even though it is next year, if you guys want me to. I think the shirt idea is cute, I love it!

Sounds good. I was thinking, we could also have each one of our memebers write a short story about the marauders for a contest, and we could select three judges and the winner could get a pesonalized banner or something?

Well, as far as judges go, I was thinking the people on this thread. WE could have everyone vote on the judges. Hmm, I was thiking we could keep the prizes to banners, or something like that. But I don't what do you think?

Banners sound perfect and they woks for me! There is no much else we can give out since people live all over the world and I can't do much on a computer. I was just wondering if you wanted me to make separate prizes for whatever I can get figured out, that is, if everyone still wants me to do it.

I love the t-shirt dea, the only problem being that where in the world does one buy such an item? I think, though, if we are doing this in summer, we will have lots of time to figure out what we will do and to figure out how to get the banner working. Oh, and by the way, I call dibs on being a judge!

Well, I think all the people that enter the contest should not be allowed to be judges, consulting that that is only fair. Like if I was to enter my story, I could not judge, otherwise I could be bias. And yes, we do have quite a bit of time to think about how we are going to work all of this consulting the fact that this is like over 6 monthes away.

I agree that the judge shouldn't be able to enter, they would pick themselves as the winner. As for who the judges are, I think that we should vote instead of people calling dibs. Everyone should have the chance to nominate someone else, then we can all vote on the three winners. I guess you can nominate yourself if you want to, but understand that you can't enter.

Well, then, I'm out of being a judge! Hardly anyone knows me around here. I'm like the new kid at school. Though I agree, if you are a judge, you can not enter the competiton. That would hardly be fair. Iff you are a judge, though, find out who al the other judges would be and pm each other to say who the winners/losers are. Makes sense, no?

Yes, very good idea, but first we need to elect judges and set some rules and guidelines about the contest to make it offically fair. And we should probably notify some mods, just to see if it is okay.

Ok, I'll go PM a mod right now. We will need to elect judges and everything, but madmarauder123 I'd be thrilled to nominate you! I am not sure how this is going to work out yet, but we have time. I don't know what else besides a banner we can give, and I have the test and stuff covered, but thanks for offering Dumbledoreisalive. I have people to help me, but I might have to take you up on that depending on how it works out. Does anyone else want an input on the questions?

Edit- Ok, I just sent an owl to one of the mods so hopefully I will hear back soon!

Thank you very much HP_RULES! for executing that nasty shot of business. Also I would like to say we get a group of three or so people to decide on the guidelines of the contest, so that we can get things going. I think that the people that set the guidelines, should also be judges.

I was thinking that people could start nominating people by PMing someone, which could be me if you want me to do it. Then I could post a list on the site and everyone can vote. We can either set up another thread to vote, with permission, or you could PM them to me and I'll figure it out. I swear that you can trust me and eveything. Or I guess we could do it on this thread too, but that might be kind of messy. I don't have to do it of course, I was just offering. So, what do you think? It usually takes a while for the mods to answer, they have a lot to do. I'll post as soon as I get word! About the nominations, please PM them to me! I think that it would be better to set up a differetn foru with a poll so that it will done fairly and it would be recorded by computer and make sure that someone only votes once or so what.

So, we have less people than I thought. I'm still for my idea of doing a sort of advertisements on our house threads. I'm in slytherin, so I would be happy to do it there. As a marauder fan and member of the Marauder Fan Club, I'd hate to see that happen in here. So just giving you all a swift kick in the behind to get discussing rather than just chatting.

i love siruis and lupin they are so cool , althoug i feel they are unfairly portrayed in the films and do not live up to the characters in the books

Hi, I'm kinda new here so I was just wondering if I could join the marauder fan club. I love all the marauders, except wormtail, and I agree with dumbledore_rocks, Those 2 were not portrayed as well in the movies as I had hoped. Sirius is my favorite of the marauders and though I really like Gary Oldman, he's not Sirius.

Yipes! Ok guys, lets keep the discussion rolling, I see we have hit a topic about the marauders and the actors who play them. I think that the character who played Wortmail did a pretty good job because he was very rodenty. Being a rat for so long would have had to make him a lot like his Animagus which I think he was. I am obviously not fond of Wormtail, but the actor didn't only look but he acted like a rat which I think was done amazing! Ok, I also liked Lupin because he was a lot like I envisioned him but Sirius wasn't. I do like Gary Oldman, but I imagined Sirius a lot more dog-like and bad. It is hard to explain, but with everything he did at school with James I saw him acting a lot differently. I do agree that the actors aren't the best, but I don't think anyone could do the marauders justice, they are too amazing!
