YAY Golden Phoenix! I h ave been a second year forever though...really annoying! Okay back on topic... Peter is a key player in the story. We have all decided on that. But is Peter going to show his marauder side in the seventh book or is he just going to be the rat that he has always been? Hmmm to be truthful I really think that he will play a major role in the seventh book (man I wish we had a title I hate saying the seventh bbook). So what do you guys think?

To give you all an idea it is 4:21 her time so hopefully she will come soon!!! I want to know! Oh, and just to let you know Golden Pheonix, I was only there from like midnight to 1:30pm so it wasn't that long. It just felt like forever to me because I couldn't sleep and I have nothing to do but wait. Plus, hospitals are gross and my eye kind of hurt so I was sitting there with nothing to distract me from it all. I am just glad to be free!


Because Sirius arrived at Hogwarts hating the "dark side" then I think that all his family did was increase his loathing for it all. His family doesn't seem to have much of an affect on him and after Hogwarts I don't think that he really saw them. He moved in with James over the holidays so that he didn't have to go home so I doubt that he would go see them after Hogwarts. This is why we need a book on the marauders!

For FawkesThePheonix's question, I am still undecided. I want to see him repay his debt to Harry and risk his life to save him, but I don't know if it will happen Whether or not he repays him will come down to how honorable he wants to be, which isn't very, but at the same time if he wasn't going to do anything I don't think that Jo would have put it in there at all. It would be nice to see him die for Harry though.

Yeah, hopefully... what time do you think HPgoldsnitch meant by afternoon? I mean it's obviously sometime after noon but how long? Sorry, I'm far too tired to answer anyones questions at the moment... I just want to stay up for the results! How many times have I said that now? Hey, about a prank to distract us from the TORTURE we have afflicted upon us. Ummmmm, how does this sound?

Ok, we know that love potion was banned at hogwarts many years ago. How exactly did that rule come into effect? Who knows, but my money is on the marauders. I think we ALL know who the victim is *cough*cough*lily*cough*cough I think though, he either a: got TO much attention from lily, so he stopped it, b: he used it untill he felt guilty, so he wiped her memory of the event so he wouldn't be killed, or c: he took it off, asked her if she loved him, and when she said no, deflated his head, and that's when she DID love him.

My god, I keep doing mushy love things! MAKE IT STOP! Think...of....manly...things. Yeah...like cars...girls....tools....cars girls AND tools...and meat. Lots of meat.

Well... umm, how can I explain this simply? FawkesThePheonix (I think) and maybe some others came up with the idea of having a Marauder Day, that right guys? Correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry I'm not exactly sure I haven't read back that far either. But, anyway... We decided to have three judges to judge the contests we are going to have (although, so far, the only one is a Fanfic competition based on the Marauders) so we had a vote and the three judges are HP_RULES!, HPgoldsnitch and madmarauder123. Oh yeah, Marauder Day is on June 21st... next year obviously. Sorry, I'm really not that good at explaining things. Okay, the whole idea started on page 29, yep, I read back that far! Umm... so I guess it might help you to get a better idea of what's happening if you look back there.

Ok. yes, I will go back and post the order this afternoon. lt will be on this post, so make sure you check it.

How did the Black family affect Sirus?

Okay, lets see. I think that, because they were all in support of Voldemort (well, I guess they were or would have been) it probably made Sirius more determined to break away and go against his family... because he hated Voldemort? I'm only really using Voldemort as an example, but what I mean if, nearly all of the Black family were Dark wizards (Hehe, Black, dark... get it? Sorry, I'll shut up) or in support of Dark wizards but Sirius wasn't, so... I guess he wanted to be different from his family and they hated him because of that. Sorry, I'm not making much sense here.

Topic. Sirius family affected him in many ways that i am sure we aren't even aware of yet. Somehow or another he grew up hating all of the ideals that they held. Maybe that happened before Hogwarts or maybe that happened after he met James. The seeds of that were obviously there before the sorting for the hat to put him where it did. Maybe he was affected by his uncle Alphard is subtle ways that his parents wouldn't pick up on. He did say that he liked him and that he was strange. Maybe it just seemed strange to him as a child and it was really the seeds of his change being planted.

I know! I think I looked through about 6 pages of Google search results but there are no picture of him anywhere... grr. Yeah, I saw the DA picture too, they missed out so many people! There's only two new guys (if you don't count Luna). It's a good pic though... and it's also nothing to do with the Marauders so I'll stop talking about it now. it's gong to be such a long wait now, because the pictures make everyone look more forward to the movie!

They really do. I can't wait for the movie. I want to see the Marauders in Snape's worst memory. I just want to see Snape hanging upside down. Maybe I am evil but it will be so funny to see. Ok, I know that I am now officially going to be the fun squisher but we really have to stick to the marauders and we all seem to be drifting into the casting list in general. I don't want to see this thread get in trouble...again! Lets get another discussion rolling because I don't know what to say about the cast, though I do really want to see our missing marauder.

Lets talk about the marauder's map! I know that you guys talked about it already, but I wasn't there and I can't think of anything better (anyone with another topic can feel free to switch it). I always wondered how they did it! I know that James and Sirius were suppose to be some of the best in their year, but it must have taken some a serious (as much as I was tempted to I refrained from using your joke madmarauders!) magic. To get it to identify the person trying to read the map and every student in the school, pretty amazing! I guess this isn't really a discussion, but I wanted to say something about this so I did.

Yeah, we did this before... but I'll say this again...

Although the Marauders were amazing at magic (the best in their year)... well, except for Peter, I think they must have had a bit of help, especially if they were only in 5th or 6th year when they made it. My guess is Dumbledore, but everyone else seemed to think it was a stupid idea when I posted that before... I personally don't think it's such a stupid idea because Dumbledore is a brilliant wizard and if he had a soft spot for any of the marauders, they might ave spoken to him about how they could make it, without revealing too much to him. Could happen...

um... i don't really know what to say about the maruders map...
but i DO have a question for everyone. how and why did you become a marauder fan? i am just curious. i personally have a lot o t say about why i like them... but i will think about it a LITTLE more before i put anything...

The marrauders are geniuses besides wormtail.They were smart funny and good fun. they knew how to not go into trouble and completely ignored th erules liek some eople in the books *one of them is in my name and is not a marauder* so either way they are funny and just plannly cool

I like the Marauders for three reasons:
1. The Marauders' Map because while being an item of very powerful magic and can be useful in a tight spot, its (original) purpose was for "mischief" (with the occasional werewolf smuggling)
2. It consits of my favortie characters in the book - James, Sirius, and of course REMUS
3. And.... they are just plain fun
