Today, I went and saw the movie The Day After Tomorrow. It was really good. I won't tell anything about it because some of you might not have seen it yet. It was kinda freaky though because there was an interview somewhere that said that the things in the movie may happen one day. (probably in like thousands of years). And Jake Gyllenhall is in it too, which is definately a plus!! (lol)
just me
I've seen it and I agree with you! It was a great film!! It was really exciting and jumpy sometimes! hehe...lol...
PrettynPink8004
yeah. It was also a little freaky what with the tornados and all. I hate tornados and freak out when there are any where i live.

I thought it was pretty good. The tornadoes in the previews were actually what made me want to see it at first, before I even knew what it was about, because I'm fascinated by tornadoes. I'd like to go tornado chasing one day. (with a person who knows what they're doing of course)
PrettynPink8004
Ohh, tornadoes totally freak me out. We sometimes have them where i live and i start freaking out when the sirens go off.
Naz
^ i would freak out too if there were tornadoes where i lived. nothing dangerous (natural disasters) ever happen here
PrettynPink8004
you're lucky. Right after i wrote about torandoes on here there was a really bad thunderstorm here. I was like OMG de javu
Naz
i would be scared out of my mind if we ever had anythin like that here. we had an earthquake here once. but i was just like a small vibration, i could barely feel it. that is the worst thing that has ever happened here.
PrettynPink8004
I've been in an earthquake. I used to live in Los Angeles and I was in the one in 1994. It was scary. I was young but i still remember it.
Naz
my parents used to live in la before i was born and there was an earthquake there. i think that is why they moved here.
peaceoflorien
It was cool, but it had sooo much computer animation =(
Naz
^^ i dont think they could have made the movie with out computer animation
peaceoflorien
Oh I completely agree and I'm not down on it. I just really like movies that have the heartfelt beauty of cameras and actors. But it was a good movie =)

I live in Kansas...Right in Tornado Alley. But the chances of getting hit is so slim that I don't even go into shelter during Tornado Warnings. Tornados aren't that bad because they end up going away after like 10 minutes. Hurricanes and Earthquakes are a lot worse.

Naz
are there hurricanes and earthquakes where you live fuoco?
peaceoflorien
I wouldnt want to live where stuff like that happened.... but it might be really cool though.
PrettynPink8004
I know hurricanes don't happen in Kansas, cuz i lived there 4 years ago. We didn't have any earthquakes either. where i lived in ks we had a few tornadoes but nothing came by my house.
NastyShort
Yeah, mostly all we have in Kansas are tornadoes....and a WHOLE lot of Dorothy wannabes....lol, just kidding.

But we get a lot of tornadoes with BAAAAAD results. sad.gif
peaceoflorien
= Thats why I love Oregon =P
PrettynPink8004
Yeah, I love the west. I was born in CA and we go back ever summer to visit family. I love the way it smells. If you travel alot u know different places smell, well, different. I know, i'm wierd.
peaceoflorien
no you arent! I know exactly what you mean! =)
PrettynPink8004
Hooray!! People understand me! lol

There are tornadoes here sometimes. A few years ago there was some damage just outside of my town, but that was fairly far away from me since I was on the other side of 'just outside of town.' We don't have earthquakes really, but it's possible because they just had a quake in Illinios the other day, and if it had been powerful enough we could have felt the vibrations. (I think the waves actually did reach here, but they were to weak for anyone to feel anything) There's also a fault on the very southern part of Indiana.
PrettynPink8004
Oh, don't you just hate bad weather? i know i do
Patronus
I love bad weather! Especially storms, huge rainstorms, or blizzards. But when it's just drizzling and chilly outside, I hate that! I suppose it's the low air pressure? tongue.gif
PrettynPink8004
Yeah probably. I hate bad wather. Rain and Thunder is okay, but not torandoes and earthquakes. *shudders*
peaceoflorien
yeah, i like lightening storms, i just wouldnt want to be in the middle or a tornado or something...
Naz
over here we are haveing a drought or something (we are running out of water) so yeh that is the worst thing that has happened here in a long time.

know the feeling....
me an me family were in america then... in vegas too(lol) and there were like sprinklers everywhere... even at the hoover dam... and we called home... (holland by the sea...water everywhere) and people had to be careful with wateruse... because it was (brace yerself) 34C tongue.gif

imagine our faves when we were in the desert with 42C and sprinklers spraying 24/7 and heared that in the 'swamp' was a short on water:P
Naz
lol what part of vegas did u live in? i live in summerlin sorta... well anywayz we have a lot of grass and people are complaining so i think we hafta take it off
PrettynPink8004
oo, weird. I hate the heat, so that just wouldn't work for me.
Naz
i hate the heat too. but some how i have managed to live here for 15 years! go me!!
peaceoflorien
Is LA crowded? I've only been to southern california.
Naz
well i go there a lot. so i think it is a little crowded
peaceoflorien
hehe, thats what i thought. Is Vegas crowded too?
Naz
well. it is getting more and more crowded. they are making more houses, schools, and roads. mostly people from cali are moving here
Catch_22
LA? Croweded? Look at the streets and its nearly empty. Same w/ San Diego. Only thing crowded is the Streets. So if your trying to escape random tornados.... dont try cars. we dont even have basements... just... a lot of concrete......
Naz
i dont know why but whenever i go there it is soo crowded!!
PrettynPink8004
when ever i go to LA it is not crowded.
Catch_22
Never. ever crowded. cept traffic. during rush hour... god that sucks.. but anyway...
PrettynPink8004
lol. yep, i hate traffic. Anyway, we just had a really bad strom here today, or yesturday, cuz it is 12:12 AM as i am writing this. lol.
