Today, I went and saw the movie The Day After Tomorrow. It was really good. I won't tell anything about it because some of you might not have seen it yet. It was kinda freaky though because there was an interview somewhere that said that the things in the movie may happen one day. (probably in like thousands of years). And Jake Gyllenhall is in it too, which is definately a plus!! (lol)

I thought it was pretty good. The tornadoes in the previews were actually what made me want to see it at first, before I even knew what it was about, because I'm fascinated by tornadoes. I'd like to go tornado chasing one day. (with a person who knows what they're doing of course)

i would be scared out of my mind if we ever had anythin like that here. we had an earthquake here once. but i was just like a small vibration, i could barely feel it. that is the worst thing that has ever happened here.

I've been in an earthquake. I used to live in Los Angeles and I was in the one in 1994. It was scary. I was young but i still remember it.

Oh I completely agree and I'm not down on it. I just really like movies that have the heartfelt beauty of cameras and actors. But it was a good movie =)

I live in Kansas...Right in Tornado Alley. But the chances of getting hit is so slim that I don't even go into shelter during Tornado Warnings. Tornados aren't that bad because they end up going away after like 10 minutes. Hurricanes and Earthquakes are a lot worse.

I know hurricanes don't happen in Kansas, cuz i lived there 4 years ago. We didn't have any earthquakes either. where i lived in ks we had a few tornadoes but nothing came by my house.

There are tornadoes here sometimes. A few years ago there was some damage just outside of my town, but that was fairly far away from me since I was on the other side of 'just outside of town.' We don't have earthquakes really, but it's possible because they just had a quake in Illinios the other day, and if it had been powerful enough we could have felt the vibrations. (I think the waves actually did reach here, but they were to weak for anyone to feel anything) There's also a fault on the very southern part of Indiana.

I love bad weather! Especially storms, huge rainstorms, or blizzards. But when it's just drizzling and chilly outside, I hate that! I suppose it's the low air pressure?

Jun 30 2004, 05:24 AM
Yeah probably. I hate bad wather. Rain and Thunder is okay, but not torandoes and earthquakes. *shudders*

LA? Croweded? Look at the streets and its nearly empty. Same w/ San Diego. Only thing crowded is the Streets. So if your trying to escape random tornados.... dont try cars. we dont even have basements... just... a lot of concrete......
i dont know why but whenever i go there it is soo crowded!!
PrettynPink8004
Jul 7 2004, 10:56 PM
when ever i go to LA it is not crowded.
