Well my name is ashlyn. So there isn't a shorter way of saying it but i am called aj. My middle name is jai. My friend has called me Ashbin. lol My new nickname is spaz. Don't ask. I'm not even sure.

My real name is Victoria, so my nickname is Vicky. Nothing special. But I prefer to be called Vicky anyway, because I don't really like Victoria.

Well my real name is Laryssa but ever since I was a baby my family always called me Sissa (Sis for short) and some of my friends call me Lar or Jonesie (my last name being Jones).

My mom told me once upon a time that when she told some lady she worked with that my name is Victoria, the lady laughed. Just laughed, like it was funny or something. Even though I was a little kid when that happened, I am like still outraged. Is my name funny? Do any of you think my name is funny? I'll answer for you: No. That is why I don't like "Victoria." That is why I like "Vicky."

My freshman year, I was playing in a basketball game and I got a steal and i took it all the way for a dunk and the next day at school they started calling me 'superman' and stuff like that and I am still called that even in classes by the teachers. My most favorite nickname of all time has to be double trouble because in grade school I got into big trouble and the principal kept calling me 'double trouble' and she still calls me by that. No one has ever called me by my real name except my parents, but I like it like that. Here, you can just call me 'secret'.

My friends have given me another nickname. I think five of my friends decided on this nickname and it just stuck. My new nickname is Momo. I have no clue why they gave me that nickname but they just did.

well my real name is sheryl anne. my most used nickname is lianne. my whole family calls me that.

since my real name is Hannah, i have two main ones.
Hannah Banana and Hannie. Though my guy friend (who i have a crush on ) calls me Hammie.

I also picked up the name since my crush is named Sam, some friends made me and him like Benifer except we weren;t together

Hmm... My nicknames? Well, my closest friends call me Prongs. (I am so much like James you have no idea, lol.) Some of my other friends, more distant ones, call me Maymay, though hardly anyone nowadays, I'm thouroghly known as Prongs, even my teachers call me that! My family members call me HarryPotterFreak, and of course my name, Amanda... I just got the name Prongs because of my personality.

You know when you have them people and you hear them being called by nicknames and your like how on earth did they get them nicknames I am one of them people! I have such random nicknames but it's probably because I do the most random things!

Adds - I get called this because it started off as Adam as everyone used to call me this when I came out in an Adam and the Ants jacket and then it got shortened to Adds. But only like 5 people call me this now.

Tootsie - This is so embarrising and I wish people would stop calling me it now but it's one that like most people in my class call me, because of an embarrising thing where I ended up nibbling someone's toe Don't blame me blame the drink at the party

This is a really funny thread, I like learning about everyone else's nicknames. I thought it would be kind of stupid not to give my own, so here goes...

1) Mario...my best friend came up with that one. Some best friends are like Laverne and Shirley, others are like Betty and Veronica...but Katie and me? Mario and Luigi. I'm Mario because I'm shorter than her and more Italian.

2) Bizz...I've been that one since 7th grade. My friend TJ out of the blue pointed at me and said "You're Bizz" and then at my friend Hillary and said "You're Atchi." Bizz-atchi, how clever. However, Bizz caught on, and he still calls me that to this day.

3) Chief...This one I'm particularly fond of, considering my young gentleman called me this alot. He had a lot of odd variations of similar names (Cosmo, Clatch) for his girl friends, but I'm quite sure I'm the only one who has ever been Chief.

4) Inspector Midget...My other best friend Victoria got this one. While trying to solve "a mystery" we decided to come up with detective names. She got away with "Dr Soup", named generously by me, but I earned "Inspector Midget" due to my vertical deprivation. I'm like 5'3, 5'4?

Edit: Just for clarity, anywhere under 5'5 is considered short in my general vicinity. I don't know what it is, but most of my friends are very tall. There's really no 'average' height- you're either tall or you're short. I happen to be short. But that's ok.

I have only one nickname.

Hantta- My mother has call me that when I was kid. It has been very long time my nickname and I like it. In school my teacher calls me only Hantta becouse I have very long name and it sounds weird hear my real name.

Well my name is John and my middle name starts with an 'O', and I also have two other friends named John so most people call me JohnnyO.

Almost all my friends have nicknames as well:

Evan- we call him Ev-Man, I dunno why, we just do.

Chris- we call him Brit because he's British (no offense to all the other British people on this forum) it's just a little joke.

Matthew- streg or streger because his last name is streger.

Jonathan- we call him JT because his first name starts with 'J' and his middle name starts with 'T'

Well, my name is Tiffany. Before my mom had me, she had a dog named Tiffany, so when I was born she changed the dog's name to Tiffer. So my uncle started calling me Tiffer to annoy me and it caught on. I also have a friend named Charity that we always call Songhi. Not really sure why though... hehehe...

My name's Sara. Now I know what your thinking, but it's pronounced differently. People usually pronounce it "se-ra" but mine is pronounced. "Sah-ra." To better explain, for example, the first syllable in the word "saucer", "sau", is what my name sounds like. And the "ra" is just..."ruh"...

So its like Sau-Ruh.. I just thought I'd clear it up. Whenever someone reads my name, they say "sera" and I correct them, but obviously I should have spelled my name differently to prevent mispronounciations.

My nickname (and I totally hate it) is Shaya (shy-uh). My dad has been calling me it since I was born, and I have no idea where he got it from. It's really embarressing *blushes*

Usually my friends and family like to call me Dee or Deedee; some call me Red since I'm a redhead; my mother likes to call me Weezie (which is a nickname for my middle name, Louise); my roommate likes to call me Irish...I call her Jamaican--for some reason we decided to call each other by out dominant nationalities...it's a bit of an inside joke..

Well, I have several nicknames, too. But the most often my friends call me is Sherma, derived from my two names, Sheree Mari. But some just call me Sheree or just Shê. When I was in high school, my friends used to call me Shenggay... But I still prefer Sherma...

Then some of my friends call me "ice breaker" because that's what I do when there are boring moments... I'm breaking that...

Well my nickname doesn't have Anything to do with my real name. My name is Liezl, in Afrikaans my family calls me "Muis", which means "Mouse". (Hope I'm not breaking any rules!)

I have a lot of nicknames. Mostly from my dad. He gives everyone nicknames. When I was little he called me Janna Banana, Janna McGee, Janna Marie Sweetpea. This all evolved into either Sweetpea, or JB. I am now 20 years old, and he still calls me sweetpea. My friends call me Banana. That has kind of stuck for a while. Nicknames are kind of fun. I like them a lot.

One of my 2 best friends, Cassie (short for Kassandra) and I write notes in class and pass them between classes at school. She always signs hers "<3always, Cassie" and I always sign mine "<3always, Prongs". Cassie knows how obsessive I am over Harry Potter, and I told her about the Marauders, and she said I was most like James (funny - that's the answer I got on the "Which Marauder are You?" quiz too!). So she gave me the nickname Prongs after "my" Marauder.

My friend Lauren always calls me Manderz (because my name is Amanda) and this one girl calls me Maymay. Really annoying.

My grandpa calls me a bullfrog, no idea why.

My other grandpa calls me pumpkin, but he's got a bit of a southern accent, so it sounds like "punkin".

My mom calls me her ladybug, ever since I could remember, but I dunno why. She also calls me a whole bunch of other things just to annoy me, like "lizard lips" or "sugar bear". My mom is totally weird like that, but I love her to death!

Let's see here- there are only a couple that I know of. I'm called Wags because that's what people call Wagners nowadays (that's my last name, in case you didn't know). My father called me (and at times stiil does) Matty Coda, after the bat in Ferngully. I think it was because Batty Coda is catchy, and Matt can fit right in there. And that about raps up my nickname list.
