I was just wondering about nicknames to day and I thought "Hey, what if I make a post asking what people on VTM what their nicknames are and how they got them.

Mine is: the Brothmanator- at my swim team overnight I aciddently poked one of my coaches in the eye, and he yelled" OW I've been brothmanated, and that is how I became the Brothmanator

Hmm... I don't think I have any really weird nicknames that don't have to do with my real name. I mean, I've got the normal nicknames and such -- like my real name is Allison but people call me Allie -- but absolutely nothing that comes close to "Brothmanator." I remember when I was in eighth grade we had a class poll in the yearbook where we voted kids in the grade for weird things like "best personality," "most likely to be the next Bill Gates," "cutest couple," and stuff like that. One of the categories was "best nickname," and we had all these people making up nicknames on the spot because none of us had one! I don't remember who ultimately won the category, but whatever the nickname was, it must have been something incredibly contrived...

This should be in 'Just Get Away From Life' forum, but not to worry, I've moved it.

well, my real name is meghan, so people give me nicknames like megs, meegz, then i have some that come from my last name: pang, jokie,and perogie. and my brothers nickname is frogboy, so sometimes people call me frogboy's little sister.

I dont know if I have any nick names...my sister calls me "han" short for my real name, "hannah," but i dont think i have anymore.

well my sister has always called me 'KK' for obvious reasons (point at name).

this is the story why i got the nickname wedgie........

when i was only 10 years old, i was used of watching cow and chicken in cartoon network! and one of the characters of the show is Red!
to tell you more about the character of Red: Red was a devil (i think?) and he was used of disturbing cow and chicken in different ways.
there was one episode of cow and chicken entitled major wedgie........
Red was playing the character of major wedgie (a cop).

and then after watching, i saw the a small notebook owned by my mom. it is a notebook where she writes different telephone numbers of friends and others.
and major wedgie come into my mind.......
i decided to write on the notebook,
i place the name major wedgie and invent some telephone number.
and when my mom came i was finish with my frank.......
and then i told her that someone called on the telephone and told me that he was going to leave the telephone number in our house and my mom would call him back........

and with that i show my mom the frank that i've done on her notebook and show her the number and name, major wedgie. and then my mom called on the number, then someone had answered, then my mom looked for major wedgie..............

since there's really no major wedgie there........ i ws just laughing & laughing! then my mom new that it's just a frank of mine!
and from that day on........ she already called me WEDGIE!

People call me all kinds of things. Beezles, Beez, Matt, sweet pea(my mother, of course), and Beesley. My last name is Beesley, and people like it apparently. This one girl calls me Harry Potter. She actually has no idea that I LOVE Harry Potter, but she says I look like him. Cool, huh?

Darren doesn't rhyme with anything (thankfully) so I'm called Darren, Daz, or some obscenity by that BMW driver that's just tried to run me over.

I have two nicknames. My uncles call me shadow because when I was little I always followed them around. My other nickname is M&M. I got this name because when I was in elementary school my friends and I decided we would take the first letter of our name and double it and that woud be our nickname. So I was M&M

My nickname is Abbyernathie, which is long for Abby. (I know it doesn't usually work that way, but in this case it does.) My friend has a cat, and she named it after me. Her mom changed the cat's name to Abby, and my friend decided that the cat and I should still have the same name, so she named me after the cat! Then, she said that my full nickname is Abbyernathie, but everyone calls me Abby. The only people who still call me by my real name are my family.

My mom and sister call me Hermione, but that's because I 'made' them. I remember that my sister, grandma, and I were outside and I was really sure that someone said Hermione, so I stood up (I was down at the time..) and looked around. My grandma asked me what was wrong, and I said that someone said my name. My grandma has no idea who Hermione is, and I didn't tell her that someone said Hermione, but my name. I think I'm becoming a little too obsessed (More?! I already was as obsessed as you can get!). And my dad and grandma call me Resi, short for Resilda.

Tonto is my nickname, from the Lone Ranger -- called that because I make hand gestures a lot (not the bad ones) instead of speaking.

My real name is Chelsea. My nicknames are Chel, CB, Chels, Seaweed, Chelly, and Luci. I got Luci from my ex because he said I was like the devil so he called me Luci short for Lucifer (How mean! I still love him ). I got seaweed from my best friend Carolina from the last part of my name Chel-sea hence Seaweed.

Well, stuff like "Honey, Sweetie, Darling, Pumpkin..ect" are my nicknames but only when Ron Weasley (my husband) and Rupert Grint (my other husband ) call me.

When I opened the back I glanced at these boxes and It looked like it said Shineglass. So I went back and asked my mum if she wanted me to get the Shineglass out of the car. She said "Shineglass....you mean, Shingles?" I turned so red. I had read the boxes wrong. Now my brother's all call me Shineglass.

3. Ace- my friend gave it to me. It just sounds cool.

Well I have quite a few nicknames but the strangest has to be biscuit. Almy friends started calling me this when I was about 9 or 10 because I used to go out with them and I nearly all the time had a packet of biscuits with me so I could stuff my face whilst playing football lol. The name got dropped after a while due to the fact I had a friend called T and it was rather stupid sounding when my friends shouted on the two of us at the same time. 'T and Biscuit'...'Yes Please' that was along the lines of the things said when we were shouted upon hence the dropping of the name lol. I just get called Chaz or Charlie now so they're rather boring lol.
