What about harry/draco slash?! How come no one's mentioned that? it's the best! and Severus/James fics are good too. But I have a ridcilous obssesion with slash..... anyhoo....
toodles loves!
~Cassady
Ceres
Hary/Draco is just something I've never been able to see... Ron/Harry, perhaps... that seems plausable enough to me.

Same with Severus and James... I just can't see it ever happening on the past... though, Sirius/Remus, I could have seen happening.

As far as other slashy couples... Crabbe/Goyle seems really possibly to me... I used to be a big Percy/Oliver shipper... I could see Luna/Ginny happening, I suppose...

[size=10]Why post if you have nothing to say?

Anyways, I think S/R is a definate possibility.
Well, when Sirius comes back, at least. -Denial-
Ceres
Sirius can only return if Cedric can... which is more than impossibly... *pouts*

don't like the slash ship AT ALL......
Ceres
Well, then you don't have to be involved in this thread, my friend smile.gif. I happen to like slash ships... not necesserily over heterosexual couples, but I like them, nonetheless.
NastyShort
I'm not neccesarily homophobic, I have just been raised in a manner in which I am supposed to avoid these things.

I suppose the only reason I will not opt for slash ships is because of the graphic and sexual intensity displayed in (some) of them. *blink* When I first came into the fanfiction world, I had NO idea what, slash, femslash, yaoi, yuri, lemon, lime, hentai, and shuojo-ai were. So I clicked on a lemon yaoi between Aragorn and Legolas and freaked out.

So, may you tell me, are most slash fanfictions "lemonized?"
Ceres
Sadly, yes, they are. I think it's horrible as well. I've never written slash fiction, but by gosh, if I did, it wouldn't be a lemon. There are just too many of those out there and I think that's one of the main reasons people turn away from it.

And I was raised in a similar manner (I was raised to be and remain very Catholic), but after having several friends that have 'come out of the closet', and later meeting some wonderful people that were already out of it, I guess I've become much more embrasive of the topic.
peaceoflorien
ugh....
BellatrixBlack
I loooooooove slash, don't know why really. I'm a huge Harry/Draco, Draco/Ron, Ron/Harry, and Remus/Siruis. I just think its cute, you know cause it will never happen in the real books.
peaceoflorien
::hits head:: ron and harry??

While some of us tend to not agree with slash, let us respect other people's ideas, since we would like our own ideas to be respected.
peaceoflorien
lol, yeah i know. I wasnt down on slash, i just cant see ron and harry together. =P
BellatrixBlack
I know it seems weird for Ron and Harry, but some fics i've read have changed my mind. Thats why its fan fiction, its not like its going to come true. Its just there are so many Draco and Harry slash, I think Ron can be in those stories too. Its always Ron and Hermione, come on, have an open mind.
HeyUSA26
i dont think so because if you thik about, at the yule ball, why didnt malfoy just ask a boy if he were gay? and if harry were gay, he wouldnt have liked cho like that. sorry, i mean im not trying to shoot down your ideas, but im just saying my opinion!
Ceres
You must not know many gay people then... or any at all :? . My best guy friends are gay, and I dated both of them. One of them is going with me to Prom (which I associated the Yule Ball with) this year, and the other is taking my other best friend, who is female.

Just because a person is gay at one point in time doesn't mean they NEVER liked the opposite sex. There's also such a thing as bi-sexuality, so yea... not all people like just the same sex or just the opposite sex...

Sorry... I get a bit protective about sexuality...
BellatrixBlack
i dont even know many gay people. i can tell you this, i know for sure that ron and harry or not gay. its just some fans like to write stories about it. theres even stories where malfoy comes out, and his excuses for taking a girl to the bll. but its all FICTION, fans know there will never be a gay character, thats not what the harry potter stories are about. i mean come on, look how long its taking just for any stright relationships to happen.
ConfusedYouth567
I agree with Bellatrix Black......... Having a gay relationship just wouldnt work in the HP series......biggrin.gif
peaceoflorien
yeah, it would make it even more contriversial and the major religious people who are against harry potter are sometimes agains homosexuals, so i dont htink rowling would do that to herself...
Ceres
You all realize most of the ships discussed on this forum, AND this thread are fiction purposes only, right? Like, fan-fiction purposes? I never implied that any of these couples would be in the books...
BellatrixBlack
ofcourse they would never be in the books. come on, its supposed to be for children, though harry is going to be 16 in the books. most of the fans who wright slash fic, are all over 17. i should know, i'm addicted to reading them.
peaceoflorien

yeah, you're right. I just think that we all get caught up inour opinions and ideals that we tend to shoot down others. sorry
LuciusMalfoy
I'm with Bellatrix on this, guys. It's all fiction just meant to entertain us. And I'm addicted to it too. I like Draco/Harry mostly. Slash fan fiction is so addictive. Restrictedsection has some great stuff if anyone's interested.
inloveagain
i think it would be cute if harry and malfoy liked each other in that way but are just covering it wid hate .. im not saying that it would happen im just saying it would be really cute .. smile.gif
BellatrixBlack
Could you imangine if JK actually put slash in her story? lol, very unlikely. Though I have read some fics that are Snape/Sirius, and its kinda cute cause it shows how Snape grew to hate Sirius and his friends.
Harriet Hornbeam
Belatrix, you say that the books are for children...yet we are confronted again and again by murder, evil and death of innocents. I'm sure that any slash relationships would pale in comparison. Besides, homosexuality is a fact of life now...JKR would be making a big statement to put it in her book...This does not mean that I think she will or that I endorse it.

Oh, and if there were to be anyone involved in a slash relationship then I think it would be Lupin...of course, that would mean that if Lupin were gay, then I couldn't have him!!! Mega bad for me.
BellatrixBlack
Well, look at how big a deal they made at schools all cause Harry Potter had magic. Now can you imangine if she put slaslh realtionships? Those books would be banned so fast from every school in the country. And if Lupin had to be gay, I'd say he's be with Sirius, I mean who's to say they didnt have a romantic relatioship, they were living together.
Harriet Hornbeam
I guess they made a big deal, but if JKR was making a political statement, and wanted to be heard, banning her books would only make people more eager to hear what she had to say. Something like that happened in OotP, when Umbridge banned the daily prophet or something, and all the students read it.

Anyway, I don't think that JKR's books are all that suitable for younger children now. Or at least, 8-11 year olds aren't the target audience anymore. If she put slash in her books, it would probably not be accepted in some countries and schools, but hell! Who buys books from schools? Not me...and I'm sure many liberal countries would continue to allow them. I mean, she's not going to make it into a gay porno, but she might suggest a relationship between Lupin and Sirius or whoever.
DancingVeela
I highly doubt that JK would put Slash in the books because I don't think it's her idea or intention to stir up controversy.

Anyways, back to the original post... I like slash! Sometimes it's quite funny and others it *is* cute. Sure, very very little of it is plausible, but that's the point. The point is to use our imaginations and play out things that really wouldn't happen! smile.gif
BellatrixBlack
I really do like reading slashy. It is entertaining and its fun to see how fans see the Harry Potter world. I have yet to write any, seeing as i'm a girl and really wouldn't know anything about a guy/guy relatioship, but it wouldn't hurt to try. wink.gif
Wednesday_Adams
I'm at a moment in my young life where I think I might be bisexual, my friend is fully aware of the fact that he is gay himself. Thanks to me! biggrin.gif Anyway, slash is the greatest thing to ever hit fanfiction. I don't know what I'd do without it. Planning on writing a few slash fics myself, but they'd probably stay with my other fanfictions that no one knows about. Only the ones I now hate are posted on the site. If you are sad enough to read them, look up Dracula-Loves-Me on fanfiction.net..... ha, look at me, now I'm advertising! Ta ta!
LuciusMalfoy
I'm for slash fanfiction. I'm very open minded when it comes to certain things. And I look at slash as I would at het. It's all the same to me. I like slash alot though because it's different from what I've read before. I've even written a bit.
Apologizes for advertising, but if anyone's ever on restrictedsection.org look up butters_proffesorchaos! Of course you have to be 18 to read anything on that site so I know alot of you won't be able to.
I also have a link in my signature to my other writing that's all G rated and open to the public if anyone wanted to see it.
biggrin.gif
BellatrixBlack
Yeah nice advertising Lucius, lol, u know ur my best bud. Well, I dunno know why I like reading more slash than I do het. I still say the best are the Draco/Ron fanfics. I mean come on, when will that EVER happen.
LuciusMalfoy
I'm glad you like my advertising. I jut couldn't control myself. tongue.gif I'm okay with the Ron/Draco ones, but for some reason I really like the Harry/Draco ones. I guess it's because their enemys.
Hey remember that one where they had to get married? That one was so funny. lol.
GoddessPrime
You've both gotten me curious. Where could I find more of this "Slash" or "Het"?
Remus-chan
I quite prefer Remus/Sirius to any ship. I believe that they may be inlove with each other in the books. Yet, because of the factor of the relationship, she may be dropping hints. The movie made me giggle, though. ^.^; I'll shut up now.
NastyShort
I was also giggling like mad, Remus-chan. I kind of saw something of Sirius/Remus, but then when Harry and Sirius were saying good-bye, I saw a hint of Harry/Sirius. My jaw dropped, literally.
Wednesday_Adams
Oh the hints of slash in the movie? I was yelling catcalls at the screen, my parents had to haul me out... now I'm not allowed to watch Will and Grace anymore... Just kidding! Just kidding!

*twitch*

dry.gif blink.gif
Remus-chan
Yeah, there were hints of harry/Sirius in the movie. Of course, I read a Remus/Sirius/Harry fanfic once... I'm scarred for life. it wasn't that bad, but..*shiver* disturbnig. EXPECIALLY WHEN SIRUIS BECAME PADFOOT! gah..

I've read Sirius/Remus/Severus... it wasn't too bad either, but kinda...weird... Sirius and Snape never got along, they just both loved Remus and stuff. O-o;;
Society_Is_Dumb
I can see Luna/Ginny happening, and I can see Sirius/James happening. I'm not a big slash fan, but I do think it would be interesting! but since J.K isn't really into that stuff, we'll have to rely on our beautiful fanfics.
BellatrixBlack
I've read so much slash and het, that no couple can shock me. and I dont think I'm allowed to mention some of those couples since this is a rated G thread. But I was never really a Snape fan, but once you've read every Harry/Draco slash, you need something different. But my favorite het is Hermione/Ron, cause you know there is a chance that might happen.
LuciusMalfoy
You have read just about every couple possible, Bella, and you always send me the interesting ones. Thanks to you I've read 2 Snape fics, that I still say is just gross. I'm not a big Snape/anyone fan. I don't really get tired of the Draco/Harry ones, but then again I don't read as much as you.
And I love the Ron/Hermione ones!
SlytherinTaylor
I don't mind reading slash... my fave slash couple would deffinatly have to be Harry/Draco... Although i prefer femslash with hermione/ginny. I like femslash much better than slash!
LuciusMalfoy
Oh, I never have and never will read anything that is girl/girl. I just don't like that kind of thing. It would make me sick, just like a beastiality story would.
yuck...so nasty
BellatrixBlack
Well I've read a female slash, but it was very soft and I didnt know what it was till I read it. but, I agree with Lucius, femaleslash does nothing for me.
doomed_renascence
i haven't seen any female slash fanfics just yet blink.gif although, my favorite slash couple is percy and oliver. they are the best written ones that i have ever read biggrin.gif although, draco being gay doesn't settle peacefully in my mind though. i just can't imagine him being gay. no reason why though unsure.gif
aleja23
Hey that couple Oliver and Percy!, sounds great, they have a lot in common, and they want to be the best in everything!!, if you ever read some fanfic with this couple just let me know!, I would like to laugh about it!!! lol
And About Harry and Draco, does not sound nice, no too diferences between them!
LuciusMalfoy
But opposites attract! You can't see them having a love/hate relationship? I so could. I love most of the fanfic with these two. Except a lot of them make Harry out to be the bigger gay one...and not Draco. I don't like that, cause I think of Harry as the one that definitely isn't gay, while Draco just kinda has that feminine quailty to him. You know what I mean?
