I wouldn't call them beasts; I would actually call them magestic animals, but anyway, my favourite "beast" is the hippogriff by far! Buckbeak is my favourite character in the whole series! I also really like dragons, especially the swedish short-snout.

my favorite "Magestic" animal would be a Pheonix because it always cames back from its ashes and their tears have healing powers, and their cute.

My favorite beast in the HArry Potter world is perhaps the Dementor. However i do like that one dog, darn it i forget his name. It was the dog in POA that was supposed to mean death, taught by Trelawney.

I think that we haven't seen the last of Fawkes and that his return to the story just may involve actions that are pivotal to the entire series.

I always liked and rather enjoyed Phoenixs, dragons, griffins, and hippogriffs. they are mytological creatures and they have a lot of history and i find them as very fascinating creatures. they have more of a story of course in the harry potter books which makes them better beasts/creatures in my book. phoenix's probably have to be my personal favorite. they have so much symbolism behind them and dumbledore sure thinks they are fascinating creatures so that's fine with me. if dumbledore likes them then i do as well!

I love all the magical creatures as I do muggle ones. Phoenix are my favourite. Unicorns. I love them. I love all of them. I would like to have a Billywig and a house-elf. But yeah I love all of them. But what is the plural of phoenix? Is it phoenixes or phoenix?

I have to say that my favourite magical animal is the phoenix. One, it's pretty much immortal, and it can die but come back as a baby. Two, it's absolutely gorgeous, and it's tears have healing powers. Three, they can carry heavy loads (not that mine would have to do that...it would sit on a perch all day looking beautiful.)

I would definitely have to say that the phoenix is my favourite animal. I also love unicorns and dragons and nifflers and three-headed dogs, and all those other animals.

I like phoenixes and hippogriffs. And nifflers are cool, too!

I like dragons most of all. They are scary and can kill you, but I find them very interesting creatures. Also Buckbeak and Fawks. I think thats it.

No, definately house elves... they're not "beasts" but they definately qualify as creatures.

My favourite beast of all the books is Buckbeak! He's strong but sweet and so beautiful! He's loyal and quite intelligent!
I love birds and the way that the film pictured him is just amazing! It gives both the look of an eagle and of a horse!

ok well i have always loved unicorns they are so beautiful and peaceful but out of the creatures in the books i have two favorties for two different reasons...one...centors, i just think they are so magical i dont like how they dont help wizards but they are good for a chat. my other favorite is blast ended skrewets i mean they are absolutly horrible and i dont like the things themselves but it was so funny reading the sceans they are in:D

ah, my favorite magical creature, is a pheonix. They have healing powers, can carry heavy loads, never die<TRUELY>, always are there when you need them in battle, and last but certainly not least i think that the whole loyalty thing is phenomenal!! This loyalty thing with phoenixes, well they can pick the very best friends for you, and then you can go off of that, and you can always trust that this friend will never betray you.

I like dragons, phoenixes, thestrals and nifflers. They all have some excellent magical abilities.

well phoenix's are awesome because first the can fly which is cool and then they can never die because they will be reborn from their own ashes which is wicked awesome. and then they have tears of healing powers which can come in handy in some cases so yeah the best is the phoenix.

I agree with you. The phoenix is the very best magical creature. I was pleased at how well they made Fawkes in the movies. He actually looked beautiful (even when old and dying).

My favorite creature would be the Dragon. Although we only learned a little bit about two of them, I'd have liked her to include more about the Welsh green and the Chinese Fireball.

I just love the power and strength that they represent although they are a bit big (maybe a scaled down version would be better)

My favorite beast in the series in the Basilisk with the Phoenix a close second. Centaurs are also pretty cool I guess.

I really can't choose only one, but I do have a few favorites:

Dragons: They're powerful and they are really the best mythical creature.

Phoenix: They're gorgeous and I love all the magical properties they possess. I love the baby phoenix in the movie. They are powerful and loyal.

Threstrals: I don't know why, but I have always been rather intrigued by them. I suppose it's the association with death. I think they are a very interesting species and will have more to contribute in the last book.

I love house elves! Especially Dobby! He's really adorable. I also like mermaids...they're mysterious, and I have respect for them since they respected Dumbledore.

When it comes to Potteresque beasts I would have to say that I like Hippogriffs and House Elves the best.

Hippogriffs because they are friendly, gentle giants but proud. They are also quite beautiful.

House Elves because they actually ENJOY doing things that most of us truly dislike doing, so that's beneficial.

Thestrals are okay too, creep but okay.

I really don't like Grawp. He's not just a bit of a freak of nature but he's just plain dangerous, whether he means to be or not.

I like the Centaurs. But my absolute favorite one is the Hungarian Horntail from Goblet of Fire. AMAZING!
I'm also partial to the Basilisk in the book. Or Aragog.

My favorite Harry Potter beast would be A Dragon. They are fierce opponents who are always deefending their eggs from predators. They cant even be fully controlled by wizards and are pretty much immune to magic.

My MOST favorite is Fawkes, or more generally Phoenixes.

I also love unicorns, hippogriffs, Hungarian Horntails, thestrals...

I guess my favourite Harry Potter beast is the Basilisk. I like snakes anyway, and to think of a 40ft snake in real life would be pretty scary, unless you could speak parsletongue, then it would be sweet to have a pet basilisk

My favourite Harry Potter beast would probably be a Hippogriff i simply love Buckbeak and i think they are really gentle creatures, they just get angry when someone like Malfoy annoys them but most people would probably do the same .

I definitely agree that pheonixes are pretty amazing. I like them a lot. However, my favorite would definitely have to be a:
FLOBBERWORM. I think they are really cool pets. You don't really have to take care of them, all you have to do is feed them lettuce, which I can do.
My second favorite would be a pygmy puff. They're so cute and they're purple (which is my favorite color).

I absolutely love hippogriffs! Next to that i love the little house elves. They may not be the most appealing looking creatures but i think they are quite adorable.

I love unicorns(love their properties and their looks), thestrals( I think they are really cool and original altough they might be a little scary), house elves (i'd love to have one like Dobby, on with a mind of his own and very loyal) and the one like Ginny's little pet (is it a hinkypuff? it's something like that I can't remember right now, sorry!)

Ummmmmmmm, let's see. Phoenix rocks! I love Fawks. And owls like Hedwig. Nifflers, hippogriffs, thestrals might be ugly but they're invisible to the majority and i think they are interesting. Pygmy puffs are cute and cuddly and werewolves are the most interesting creatures to know...and oh yeah, vampires too, though they don't have a really big role...

Mine would be..Crookchanks(spl?).I know I'm weird but I like the cat's brilliance.His face looks diguisting but that doesn't matter.Unicorns..absolutely beautiful!.I would give anything to get it as a pet!.Fawkes..Dumbledore is lucky to have it as a pet..a loyal pet..

It is so hard to pick one or two that I really like because there are so many cool beasts. But if I had to chose I would choose a Dragon and a Phoenix. I think like hagrid and believe that Dragons are just misunderstood creatures. Phoenixes are just so amazing because of their loyalty and their healing powers, it would be nice to know that I could always count on my pet to be there if I am in need of help.

My favourite magical beast would be the phoenix. If they were real, i would definitely have one. I just love the idea of being reborn from the ashes. To me it means a fresh start and who wouldn't want a fresh start now and again?
