I can't wait to see it! A love affair! Lucky, lucky, lucky girl!!!!!
But as long as he doesn't consider to stop playing the role of Harry, I'm fine with it! This will be fun to see!

its gona be so weird because i can't imagine Dan...now at this age playing anyone else except Harry! And a love affair?Lol
But i'll still watch it i guess just for the sake of seeing Dan acting as an orphan and laughing my head off at his "love affair".

is it a British movie or American? because Paz Vega is in it and she isnt British so will Dan put on an american accent or will this film only be in great britain?

though i don't really think this is the right movie for Dan (because of similarity in character of his role), and thus i'm not that excited about it (though i'm planning on seeing it when it comes out), i have no idea why you guys find it so funny.
really. what's so funny about Dan playing someone other than Harry. as a matter of fact, i think it was a good idea for him to get a new role at this point while it's not too late. remember what happened to Hole Alone guy? i can't even remember his name.
i think Dan agreeing to play in December Boys should not be made into a big deal, though Dan realy needs support.

That is really great!! I'm so proud of Dan! I think it's wonderful that he's taking on other roles besides Harry Potter. It will really boost up his career. So far when when someone says his name, people go "Oh, that's the guy who played Harry Potter!". Now he will be known for something else. And wow, his first "love affair". Good for him!
Also, will this movie be shown in the US? 'Cause I want to see it...

I'd love to see it. I've only seen one other movie with him, David Copperfield, and I wonder how he'll play this role. Hehe, he's going to have a love affair.. I have no idea if it's going to show in the U.S. too, but I hope. Now all we need is for Emma to get a new role, Rupert already has..

This is good news for Dan.

He is showing quite a talent as an actor now, so why not branch out and take on something different?

He always wanted to act, so I dont think he's in it for the money, otherwise he could just do the HP films and not worry about anything else.

I think it's an Australian film. I know they are filming it here anyway, and it has atleast one Aussie actress signed to do it with him.

I cant see what's so funny about Dan doing a 'first love' scenario. He's doing it in GoF isn't he?

im really excited about his new movie! it will be interesting to see him playing a different role than harry potter.

I will be looking forward to seeing it. So far Radcliff hasnt impressed that much as an actor. Its not that he is bad at it or anything its just that he is just above average and not spectacular like for instance Gregory Peck. Ahh well he could suprise me.. We will see. I would really like to see Emma Watson do another movie. I think she is one of the best acters/actresses there.

It will be slightly...awkward seeing Dan with out his rounded black glasses from the Harry Potter films. But if it is shown in Canada, i will defiently watch it, and see how he does. Because i have a feeling he will be pretty big. Not American celebrity style, but a big actor all together...he should do a voice on the simpsons *shifty eyes*

hello to everyone! i am really happy that daniel has signed up for a new movie. it shows that they are really talented and it will also be good for them to be involved in other projects.

Hes playing in a movie called "Driving Lessons" along side his Harry Potter mom Julie Walters. Its due out in 2006

And for those people who can't really see him as anything but HJP, wouldn't that really be a testament of how great an actor he is? He basicly made Harry seem like much more than a character. He made him seem like a real person. I hope it will be shown on this side of the Pond.

Oh yeah, Did any of you hear that Airborne rumor? Emma is supposed to star in it along with Liam something-or-the-other from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Also I think Driving Lessons will be great. I always thought that comedy would be more like Rupert's cup of tea. As long as they all come home to Harry Potter, it's all gravy.

i think thats its great that dan's choosing a not mutli million dollar film as his first main part outside Harry Potter.
the thing i like about it even more is that its being filmed in the same part of australia that i live in so who knows i might meet him *sighs*

I think this is thouroughly exciting news and I support Dan completely as long as any new films don't keep him from his role as Harry, which I'm doubtful that that would happen.
