Who would you choose? It's a hard decision. Bear in mind you can only choose one. I would personally choose Dumbledore, but surely Dumbledore could block it out? I don't know. One to think about.
Please post back, and vote! And thank you for taking the time to do so.
Yours, Hermione Black.

I would read Lord Voldemort's mind. I want to know how he is thinking and why he does what he does and if he ever had a love episode in his life. We got know Harry how he is thinkning and what he does and why he does thode things so it would be a waste to read his mind when you have the oppurtunity (right spelling?) read another's mind.

Dumbledore for sure! He's so mysterious. I'd love to find out what he's thinking about most of the time.

I would definetly read Dumbledore's mind. But it was a hard decision. Anyway, the reason is because he's so mistrious and hides stuff from everyone, so much in fact that no one knows for sure whats really going inside his head. And no one ever knows how much he knows about things.

i would definately want to read dumbledore's mind, or take a look into his pensieve. he's just really mysterious and there seems to be a lot of secrets that he alone knows about voldemort, or the rest of the wizarding world.

I would attempt to invade Dumbledore's mind because he has lived twice as long as the average human, his outlook and wisdom is so deep with lessons from his past experiences. Also, he is a transfiguration professor, meaning he observes his surroundings and people very acutely.

I think I would read Patunia's mind just because I think there is more to her than meats the eye. She has a secrit and I want to know what it is. She acts like she is this little stuck up muggle who hates anything out of the ordinary but I think she acts thay way to cover something up.

I voted for Snape's. It'd be nice to see what he really thinks of everyone, and to know his true personality. Then again, it might just be a waste of time because he could be expressing his whole self, but I doubt it.

I thought first that it would be good to read dumbledore's mind but then i thought, i could learn all voldemort's plans. If you wanted to know some of dumbledore's knowledge he would most likely tell you if you asked him.

I'd want to read Dumbledore's mind. It's often hard to see what he's thinking about. It'd be interesting to know what's going on in his mind.

I was very interested in Hermione, I wanted to find out stuff like what she's really scared of (other than getting low grades), and if she like Harry or Ron

But then that would ruin all the fun and suspense now, would it?

like many others, i voted for Dumbledore because he knows SO much relating to the prophecy, the Voldemort-Harry relationship, the secrets of Harry's past, and everything else that you can think of. Dumbledore knows all.
but i also would really like to know Snape's secrets, like how he proved to Dumbledore that he is really on the good side now ... and there's obviously much more to his past than meets the eye.

I chose Hermione because she is really smart and for once I would like to know a lot like her. I would also like to know who she really likes (like harry, ron, krum, neville?) I was surprised nobody chose Harry

I'd have to say Dumbledor, for sure! I have a strange feeling that he knows more than what he lets on sometimes and just keeps it to himself so the future isn't torn apart. Dumbledor has to be the brightest and bravest man alive in the wizarding world. If there is anyone in the world I would be afraid of if ever went evil, it would be Dumbledor!

Yep, along with the majority of yall, I too, have chosen Dumbledore. Though I think his thoughts would be incredibly confusing; what goes on in the wisest man in the wizarding world's head, I cringe to think, but that also is why I would like to know.

... I bet too, he would have hilarious thoughts. He's always behind a calm, polite mask, you know he has to vent some of his feelings in his head...

...
I would also want to know what he sees in the Mirror of Erised, I hardly believe socks are his greatest desire.

I voted for Dumbledore. But it was a very hard decision. I was torn between him and Snape. Dumbledore is a very mysterious wizard. I want to know how his mind is working, on how he is solving problems regarding many things: Hogwarts, Voldemort, Harry and the whole wizarding world.

I voted for Snape. I would really want to find out about his past especially his childhood and school days. I would want to know what he thinks of everyone and if he really is on Dumbledore's side now. I think that he is but I would want to make sure. I also want to know why Dumbledore trusts him so much.
I would also like to read DD's mind because he knows so much but I would read Snape's first.

You've all made some really good points here! I'm pretty chuffed, getting such a big response to my first poll
Thanks to everyone who voted and/or posted. I guess if I could vote for a second time, it would probably now be Snape, because he's so mysterious (so far!). Only 5 DAYS UNTIL THE RELEASE! wahoo! I think that after everyone's read HBP the results to this poll would definitely change. What do you think Snape is hiding? Is he Harry's father in disguise? *all gasp in shock* Does he wear Neville's Grandmother's clothes when nobody's watching? Who knows? Well.. chances are, we'll all find out in 5 days. Yeehee! I can't wait! I am a bit surprised that no-one chose Harry. Though, it does make sense I suppose, because we do see the books from Harry's point of view really, so there isn't much in there that we don't know about. Ok, forget what I just said. I like to talk gibberish in my spare time. Anyhow, tell your little Veritaserum buddies to take a look at my poll, and to give their point of view. I love reading other people's ideas when it comes to HP! There's so much stuff going on in other people's minds that I really never would have thought of. See you round everyone! Who knows, there may be more Hermione Black polls coming to a forum near you soon. Anyway, thanks again, and bye!

I would pick Dumbledore. Sure there is a chance he could block it out, but why not take a shot at it though? My next choice would have been Voldemort so I can find out what his next plans are going to be. Then I could stay far away.

Well, from those choices, I'd choose Dumbledore, because he has the most complex, in my opinion, mind, with lots of secrets. But the other people whose minds I would want to read would be Alice and Frank Longbottom, if iit were possible. Maybe, somewhere behind the confusion and memory-loss, there's still something. I think they would have had some very interesting thoughts...

I chose DD because he seems to know everything...and I would love to know how..he is always in the right place at the right time and seems to always be around to help people out of problems..we saw that when Harry was in the ministry and needed help...of course that may change in the next books but for now he seems to be the one that is most mysterious..but I do agree he probably would be able to block it out

Petunia Dursley would be cool too...but only if there is more to her than what we know...it would be interesting to see what she REALLY thought of everything

I chose Hermione so I could finally figure out who she likes. I don't care what all the shippers say, there has been no completely solid evidence as to who she likes. It seems to me that she, as JKR says, changes her boys like she changes her socks. I hate that.

It was a hard choice, I would love to read Voldemorts mind, but I don't think he'll let me do that

Well I would also love to read Dumbledores mind because he seems to know everything, I would love to know what he's been through all his life and everything. So I voted for Dumbledore

Wow, that is hard. I would love to read Voldy's and find out what goes on in that messed up mind of his. And Dumbledore seems like he has one of the most brilliant and unique minds in the world.
But currently, I have to go with Snape. I want to know who's side he's on!

Snape! He's so twisted.... You see a cold man outside and inside you see a hurt boy. It's cute, even if he's sneering I like him and what can I do? He'd be gorgeous to use legilimency on

The second one is DD.

i'd probably vote for dumbledore. well, everytime he talked to harry. i can really sense that there's still something in his mind that he don't want harry to know. and dumbledore knew a lot of things. so i wanted to know all of them but like what the others said, he'll be able to block it of course. dumbledore's the best wizard ever and people like us definitely cannot read a wizard's powerful mind... but all i can say is... dumbledore also has his own mysterious side...

Well... before reading HBP, I would have chosen Dumbledore for obvious reasons that I won't waste time in repeating, since I'm sure it would be the 50th time in this topic.
However, after HBP, I would definitely read Voldemort's mind, so I could find out where all his horcruxes are and what defenses are guarding them, and how to get through the defenses. Then I would go and tell Harry everything I know.
... DUH!

I choose the impossible, again... Snape! - I say impossible, because, after all, he is tha one that teaches Harry occlumency, so he must now it . I believe that neither Dumbledore nor Voldemort can be "the greatest sorcerer in the world", but Snape. Oh, yes, he definitely knows a lot of magic and how to use it. Almost every Harry Potter fan I know(as well as me) hopes that Snape is good, after all... But we can't say for sure until book seven. So far, Snape has been "playing" with Dumbledore and Voldemort - somehow they both trust him - so that's what makes him superior. Anyway, until I read the seventh book, all I can do is imagine I legilimens "the potions master". J K has made him a character so complex that it ended up to be my favourite.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I don't really know why Harry is part of this poll, in fact, he is the character most studied by the author...we already know him, furthermore, we see the other characters mostly the way he sees them(not all of course). By this I didn't mean to offend the topic starter. Sory if I did

Of the characters mentioned i would definetaly read Snapes mind. But if I were to choose any character from the book it would be Arabella Figg.
I just dont buy that she is a squib hired by Dumbledore to watch over Harry. I think she is a witch or wizard that is either using polyjuice potion or a metamorphmagus like Tonks. It says in the books that her house and she smellls like cabbage, and that is how the polyjuice potion smells. I would like to find out the truth about her.

I would like to read snapes mind - why?
hmm, he never got the job he wanted to have, he hates harry,....
It would be funny to know what he is thinking about eveybody in school, maybe he has some more plans we dont know
maybe we could have prevented what happend in the last book
but I think it would be really interesting to read everybodys mind - just to see/hear whats in their mind the whole day.
I f.e. think of so many diffrent things the whole day and want to know if the others also do.
but its also a questions of privacy, because you should not get convicted for what you are thinking about.

i choose snape because i want to understand what is he thinking, to whom he is really loyal, i can't understand him, i feel angry for what he does, but in the same time i feel sorry and pity for him, he is brilliant but have so many pain in his heart, i really want to understand him...

i would read Lord Voldemort's mind because if i knew what he was thinking, i could easily figure out what he's planning, tell Dumbledore, then ruin his plans.
I would also want to choose Snape's mind because then i would know who's side he's really on.
but i chose Voldemort
