Will the trio's friendship last through book six and seven?Personally, I think it won't last. I think Harry will hook up with Hermione, pushing Ron over the edge. I think Ron will join the Dark Side. We all know Ron likes Hermione. We know that Hermiuone hasn't showed iterest in eithr Harry or Ron, but reading these I realized it is highly likely for Harry and Hermione to hook up:

Nah, Ron going to the Dark side is as likely as Harry learning his grandparents were sheep! (at least I hope)

Anyway as for who does Hermione fancy, I have to go for Ron, its him shes always arguing with and at the rate their going it's obvisous they like each other more than just friends (if Hermione ends up with Harry ignore what I just said)

And yeah I think their friendship will last to the end, or at most another Harry/Ron GoF fall out type thing, but with Voldermort back i doubt they'd be that petty.

The trio has had fights in the past, and they've always worked them out. Sure, there will definetly be more arguments in the future, but none too serious. As for Hermione hooking up with Harry or Ron, they shouldn't let a girl come between them, even if it is their best friend. The one who didn't get Hermione will realize that there's someone else out there for them, and should be happy for the couple.

If there is a romance beetween any two in the trio, that would definately strain the friendship. There would be to much of a duo inside the trio, and one would be excluded. I dont want H/Hr or R/Hr because I dont want the friendship to be split up. Ron has shown what may have been feelings for Hermione, but in my opinion, Hermione hasn't shown intersest in either of them. Shown, and only shown, however. We don't know what she really feels inside.

If JK Rowling does create a romance beetween two of them, I hope the friendship won't end.

I think that the trio's frienship will last but one of them will die. As far as we know Harry and Voldemort could die in the very last book. I think that Harry and Hermione will end up together since in the 4th book hermione kissed him on the cheek. Ron I think might even risk his life to save Hermione since I think he does like her.

Hermione has the brains
Ron hasn't anything to add to the group really but an extra pair of hands....
So i think he will die leaving it to be just Hermione and Harry....as friends....

I -know- that these three will get into more arguments. But will one come along that truely ENDS it? Harry and Ron obviously have some tension in between them (GoF). Ron has always been a tad jealos of Harry and his fame. But now that Ron is in Quidditch (supposing he remains in qudditch) I don't think that will be as much as a problem anymore.

I can see Hermione and Ron dating. This would leave Harry out of the circle. I can see him becoming annoyed with the situation. But again, would this end a friendship?

On the other hand, let's look at Harry's...anger management issue (for lack of better words...hehe). Maybe something little would set him off and things would get out of control.

I can see them breaking up. But it wouldn't be for long. They -do- go together well.

And of course, if one of them happened to die (Like Ron, perhaps) that would end the trio.

Basically I think that although there no doubtedly will be coflicts and fights between them, I believe that they will pull through no matter what. I also believe Ron and Hermione will end up together, and that one of the trio will die

I don't think that the trio would break up unless/until one of them dies. I obviously hope that none of them do. But... all things considering, it's probably too much to hope for that all three live through the end.

after reading all this, for some reason i got an odd feeling harry will go crazy by the end of book 7(though i doubt it) it's a scary thought. anyway, from the beginning me and my friend could always see a harry/hermione relationship building.when you think of it they have a lot more in common than ron does. i mean, she's muggle raised too.

Remmeber in book 5 when Harry wanted to go to Ambridge office and Hermyony tried to prevent him from doing that, she asked Ron for help and that reminded Harry how Mrs. weasly asked Mr.weasly for help in Grimuld place when sirius wanted to tell Harry things about the order?

I think, and hope, that the trio friendship will last. IMHO, that is the most important relationship in the books. If the trio friendship ends, I don't think it will be over something minor like Ron and Harry being jealous of each other or anything. If Hermione does show interest in one of them, that could definitely strain the friendship and make things awkward, which is why I'm a member of HEROES, but I highly doubt Ron and Harry would end up hating each other beacause of that, if it were to happen.

Sadly, I think it's a good possibility that Ron will die in the seventh book. I don't want it to happen, but it makes sense, and could also be the end of the trio. (Which is one reason why I support H/Hr).

Also, the theory that Ron will join the dark side is extremely unlikely. If he did, that would almost certainly ruin the friendship. But I also feel that Ron could see the error of his ways, leave the dark side, and try to make amends with Harry by sacrificing himself(another theory of how Ron will die, if he does).

So, basically, what I'm trying to say, is that if the trio friendship ends, I don't think it'll be because of a ship within the trio...I think it will be caused by something much bigger. IMHO, JKR will stick to the plot instead of using romance, which isn't important in the HP books, to ruin the strong bond of friendship that the trio have. Fans would be a lot more disappointed if they ended their friendship because of a love triangle.

Okay, this, Ron going over to the dark side thing, I really cant see it happening. Unless, Harry and Hermione start dating and he feels left out so he becomes Malfoys friend, but I cant see why this would happen. I'm thinking more along the lines of Ron and Hermione dating. Since the third movie obviously had them making eyes at each other. And it would totally explain why Ron was getting mad and Hermione and Krum in the 4th book. At the Yule Ball, I quote:

"Ron idnt answer. He was glaing at Hermione and Krum, who were dancing nearby."

Maybe Ron was glaring at Krum, jealous because Hermione was dancing with him. Another quote from the Yule Ball further backs my theory up:

"Hermione looked up in surprise. 'What's up with you?' She said.
'If you dont know," said Ron scathingly, "I'm not going to tell you."


Could it be that Ron is masking his feelings? Yet another quote (I know you're probably getting tired of this):

But Ron ignored Harry too.

Even after Hermione said that Viktor hadnt asked anything about Harry, and that Harry himslef said he didnt mind, Ron still kept up his heated argument. I think that Ron and Hermione will start dating, because then that adds more stress and a whole new layer of awkwardness, and even veritaserum.com confirmed that in the 6th book Harry's life was going to get tougher.
