fudge and the DoM reminds me almost of like the president and area 51 lol we all know its there we just dont have a clue whats going on there. soo i feel if we kan find the answer to if the president knows whats going on in area 51 then we will find out if fudge knows whats going on in DoM. LOL

I personally don't think that Fudge has a clue about anything important. I don't know why i picture him as just a face of the ministry. I really couldn't see him sitting behind a desk making big decisions. I just think that he knows that there is a department called the DoM, but he doesn't have a clue what goes on in there. And i agree that the Unspeakables really don't speak about what goes on in there, even to the Minister of Magic.

No-one really knows what is going on except for the unspeakables themselves. In HP and the GoF mr weasley is showing harry all the ministry officials at the quidditch world cup. He sees an unspeakable and says to harry "He's an unspeakable, he works in the department of mysteries. No-one knows what they get up to. Only them - or something of that nature.

true, personally I rekon it's a very reserved place, with many secrets. I think fugde actually does know of the departments' existence, yet he doesn't really dwell much into its' prophecies & secrets & files & all that.

I think Fudge knows a bit but very little about what goes on in the DoM he is a power hungry [Mod Edit] but i dont think even he has the ability to force the unspeakables to speak.
This is a good question and i think that Fudge while in power he really wanted to know what went on.
My only problem now is Scrigmeur ([sorry] aboot spelling) he is more powerful than fudge but justa s hungry as Fudge for power i worry that with his powers and title he may not have the difficulty that Cudge had making the unspeakables speak.,

I think that Fudge does know what is going on in the DoM, because I think that the Minister has to give out the job, of being an Unspeakable. Although I don't think that Fudge understands it all.
