I LOVED the parts where Ron & Hermione had that sexual tension between them. It was just perfect! I loved these two lines:
"You tell those spiders, Ron."
aaaaaaaaaand...
"Wow, Professor Lupin isn't having a good day!" <<or something like that.

My favorite scene in the movie was probably the one where Aunt Marge blew up. hehe. Actually, to tell you the truth, I didn't find the spiders thing that terribly funny. It was slightly amusing, but I wasn't rolling out of my chair laughing.

I think for me it was the whole spider scene instead of that one line. The whole atmosphere of it was great, with Ron waking up being scared half to death, and Harry being there knowing exactly what was going on.

I really loved the bit with the spiders, especially Ron's face before he went back to sleep. I was laughing into my popcorn.
Another scene I loved was when Fred + George were giving Harry the Marauders map and they kept finishing each others sentences-

George: You can know where everyone is... Fred: every minute... George: of everyday. Fred: And when you're done, just say... Fred + George: Mischief managed! Otherwise anyone can read it! |

Jun 30 2004, 05:56 PM
Haha yes it was. But for me, I was laughing harder when Harry said "Professor Lupin isn't having a great night" or something like that. I don't know why. :?
Anyways, those were my two favorite parts.
I loved the whole Time Turner sequence. How everything just fell into place.

I loved the buckbeak scene!!! It was just so great to see Harry shouting "Woohoo!"! I also liked the scenes with Professor Trelawney! It was so funny!!

But I also liked the time machine thing in the end (Alfanso did a very great job with that scene!!).
I liked all the new scenes which Alfanso had directed which was not in the book (even if I think he should have more scenes from the book instead); Especially the scene where Harry talks to Fudge, when that man offers him food, but Harry says no all the time! It was so funny! And the scene when Harry, Ron and the other guys eat candy!

Ooh I loved the scene with Dan in his hoodie.

Lookin' good, Dan.
And the scene where Harry's back is turned to Marge and the Dursleys in the kitchen where his hands are on the counter? I just wanted to go and jump into the screen and give him a big hug.

I also really liked the Buckbeak scene, how Harry just all of a sudden was standing in front of himself since everyone else backed up and how Ron pushed him forward. hehe

Haha I thought it was hilarious when Ron pushed him forward. I thought he did a good job of being scared when Sirius (in his dog form) was pulling him into the Whomping Willow.

I liked the parts where hermoine kept coming out thin air from the time thing and Ron's like where did she come from. did you see her come in? And the part where the boys are in their room and they're eating the jellybeans and smoke comes out of Harry's ears and Ron growls or whatever like a wolf and then his look on his face when he wakes up from his tap dancing spider dream. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Ha Ha Ha Then at the end where Harry conjures up a Deer like figure and when Hermoine said that they would have to be a powerful wizard to something like that. I was shocked, and I can't wait until the 4th movie.

I luv the scene where Hermione punches Draco! That was great!! I went crazy in the theatre and clapped alot. I also luv the scene where Aunt Marge blows up and the one part with Ron and the spiders telling him to tapdance. THAT WAS HILARIOUS!! and also the part with the bogggart that was cool. i guess i don't have a fav! there were too many cool scenes to choose from.

I think my favourite scene is the werewolf. It's very dark. I love the work of Gary Oldman in the film, he is a perfect Padfoot (and Sirius is my favourite character). David Thewlis is great too, Moony (Lunático) is other of my favourite characters.
But the best actor of HP is Rupert Grint!!!!! I love Rup!!!
And, of course, the best director of Harry Potter films, Alfonso Cuarón!!
¡¡¡¡¡VIVA ALFONSO!!!!

I thought the funniest scene was the one with the spider dream. I just love the way Harry reacts all seriously while Ron's babbling about tap-dancing spiders. I also liked Ron's amazement every time Hermione turned up suddenly.
My third favorite was probably when Ron's leg was injured and he told Hermione that "It's too late, it's ruined. It'll have to be chopped off". It was just cute how he was trying to get her to feel sorry for him

.
Two scenes that I liked other than those were probably when Snape finds the Marauder's Map and it insults him, and when Snape, Lupin, and Sirius argue with each other in the Shrieking Shack.

Well I think it's coz we got so used to "Harry in Movie1&2", if you know what I mean.
Colombus directed Dan to play Harry in the only way he could at the time, as in, he was still a "fresh" actor. If you look back at the first two movies, Dan's acting was very controlled and limited. But he learnt heaps from all that obviously, so come POA, we can clearly see a marked improvement in his acting ability. Plus, of course, he's grown older and grown into and become more comfortable with his character.
In POA, I did feel a bit weird the first time, coz I thought Harry was being a bit "out of character". If you know what I mean. Like the crying, for example. But watching it again and again after, I realized that it wasn't out of character. What Cuaron was trying to do was show that Harry was really like any other boy his age. I've always said that POA is the turning point book because it focuses more on Harry and him growing up. In POA, he learns a lot of things...things about his parents, especially. And at 13, he really is at that growing up stage, he's starting to experience more emotions and things like that.
Aside from the crying, there's also the bit at the start where he kicks something (I think it's the desk) after he blows up Aunt Marge, the scene where he's eating the candy that makes him smoke at the ears, him shouting out loud when he's on Buckbeak....all this, seems so weird coz we never see anything close to that in the first two movies. But think about it. It's really not that weird if you think of it with the mindframe that hey, he's human like all of us. He has real emotions and feelings. I felt that he was acting like any other boy his age. That's what I thought Cuaron was trying to do anyway...and he did it well!!

Oh Merlin, this will be a lot to mention... Okay, I like it when Hermione says 'Do you want to move closer?' and Ron says 'What?' sounding all nervous... I also like the part when Draco hands Crabbe or Goyle his bag and "saunters" over to Harry... the part where Hermione punches Draco, love him, but he probably deserved it... probably... When Ron wakes up about the "Spiders!"... when Harry's at the Durlseys and says 'Yeah, they beat me all the time' (or something like that), he's hot when he's sarcastic... the part where Hermione and Ron accidently hold hands, Ron looks all nervous, and Hermione looks sort of disgruntled after they break apart (she misses Ron's touch!).... the boggart scene... when Ron pushes Harry forward in CoMC class... when Trelawny has that vision, it's very creepy, so that makes it cool... and, last but not least, when Draco calls Ron "Weasel Bee"!

Oh yeah and the part where Draco sends Harry the letter... I thought it was a love letter at first, and I was all "Did that happen in the book?!"... and when I found out it was a beautiful drawing, I knew, I must have overread something in the third book...
