well i think she is pretty and she should play the part because fleur has an accent and she dont speak all words clear the girl who is playing her is french.....the kid who is playing Cedric Diggory is hot :wink:

I don't think she'll be a good Fleur. Fleur is meant to be really pretty but she isn't that pretty. She's too skinny and she doesn't have the right face. She may do a really good job at acting like Fleur but i jut don't think she looks the part.

I think that she will be a good Fleur.She is pretty and they will put some make up on her so she will be pretty.If we look at Tom Felton, he is not as hot as in the movie :wink: so it will be the same thing for her.

I'm sure the actress who plays Fleur (Clemence I think her name is?) will look stunning when she is in costume. Right now, she isn't in costume, so I don't think anyone could judge her on that. I mean, even Dan looks different in costume; he looks more like Harry Potter. Frankly, I don't think he looks too much like HP when he isn't in costume. Still cute though. :wink:

Well they had to choose someone who know French no ? well I wanted my friend (or maybe Girld friend in a few month ..) to audition for playing Fleur, we are in QUebec so we have no problem with French... anyway i think France is more closer than Canada of UK...

Have you forgot that J.K Rowling approved every new members of the cast... i think that if she said that they was perfect, we just have to wait and see... and support them as much that we can.
Everyone wants to punish them because they the role of everyone wanted to have... they was good at their audition, they was good actor and o.k for their role... you'll to understand it.

Anyways..cant wait to see this film... the fourth book is my fav. hp book, and i'm not afraid to see the result!

I pictured Fleur looking so much more different...but while I'm watching the movie I'll probably change my mind and say she's a perfect Fleur

i think that with a little hair dye (more blonde, perhaps a draco malfoy colour?), and some make-up, she could very well be a veela.

i don't think she's that pretty. fleur's supposed to be stunning, like, and really take your breath away. she's a bit disappointing!

I guess it depends on her acting. And remember, our views of Veela in the books are through their magic, which makes them attractive. They don't have to be gorgeous.

Personally I think that the people did a great job of chosing who should play fleur. SHe not completely GORGEUS but, I think that she has that sort of simple beauty. She looks exactly how I imagined her. Except, I thought she would have more of a flowing texture to it.
I couldn't BELIEVE that shes engaged to Bill Weasley in The Half-Blood Prince though! Hmmm...zat was a wierd match...'ee seems so much more different then 'er. Eet will never last!

To think they are saying that the three main stars playing harry, ron and hermione are starting to look too old for a part, yet they get a 21 year old (or over by now) to play the role of someone only a couple of years older than them.

Well, frankly, I think she's pretty enough, but she's the wrong kind of pretty, if you know what I mean. She looks too nice to be Fleur! Fleur is supposed to be French and stuck-up and only concerned with how her hair looks and such (well, not so much after the second task). So really, the thing that makes the difference here is whether or not she can act enough like a pretty, spoiled, french brat.

You know, if she could speak in a french accent, paris hilton would be great for fleur...

i always imagined a person with more shiny silvery hair. other than that i think shes fine for the role.

For me she's not pretty enough to be Fleur. She is pretty, but for a human way. I imagined her a little bit different.

Personally, I don't think she is very good-looking, it may be just that picture. But i dunno. Whatever though, we'll see how good she is at acting, if she acts like a good Fleur it's all good.

I think they didn't get the best person for the job. In the book Fleur is described amazingly beautiful. I dont think shes really pretty but sort of pretty.

Well not all beautiful girls can act. This may have been the good looking one that could act. As a lot of you have said, I have seen better looking girls but they have to work with whats with them. As discribed in the book, she turned heads but if this girl walked past me, I wouldn't turn around and look or ask her to a dance either.

Sorry--I agree with most of these posts that the actress (sorry, don't know her name) chosen to play Fluer is not exactly what I had in mind.

She's a pretty girl, but I thought the veela were supposed to be breathtaking or devestatingly gorgeous to the point of enchanting people when they lay eyes on them?!?!?. An accent can be learned or faked.

I am not sure who I would have chosen though. It seems like the casting people are trying too hard to use unknown younger actors.

Also, Cedric is a living doll, Cho was not quite what I had pictured, Viktor was spot on my vision of him, and I am reserving judgement on the longer hair do's of Ron and Harry until after I see the movie...
