You have to draw a lightning bolt, but it shows you somewhere on the site how to do it specifically...

I think it goes diagonally from the middle then go half way down...then straight across...the diagonally down again...sorry for the bad description

I have all twelve pages or easter eggs. According to the rune tiles on the rubbish bin page it's the number-31071965. When I dialed it, a flashing check mark appeared then disappeared. Is there anything in connection to that?

Thats Rowlings birthday but I'm not entirely sure what the check was for...I haven't done many of the secrets I've just read about them...

I have had the same thing happen to me. When the check pops up that means that you have already gotten that clue or egg. If you try some of the other numbers that you know you have doen and the same thing happens, then I am right.

I don't know if you guys got this already, but here goes. I found out what the words on the rubbish bin page mean. I didn't even come her for help! I feel so proud.

Anyway, you arrange the words and it comes out:

Here I am within,
tap ring five times
and you get in.

This means to tap something five times, obviously.

Go to the "Fan Sites" page and to the right of the screen you will see a small, red velvet box.

Click on it five times, and you get another "Easter Egg!"

How do you move the book and the medal---they're stuck!

Hermionelover - I managed to move the pen by clicking and holding on it, but I just couldn't draw the picture right.

I also broke a pen by the rubbish bin but I can't figure out what to do next. I mean, it obviously is a potion, but which one and where do I need that info...?

If some has already answered this here, I'm terribly sorry. I just didn't find the answer. I'll keep on looking and trying to figure it out.

i don't know if it's suposed to... but has anyone managed to move the little blank paper that's underneath the coldplay ticket in the Extra stuff?beneath it should be the date of the release of the 7th book or something.............

hi! i'm trying to do the "tap five times" thing but i don't know why it is not working!! i went to fan sites and click the red box five times and the easter egg didn't appear. can anyone help me?

I think the leaf itself was in the Extras section. It's been months since I did it so I could be wrong, but I was just reading over some old posts and they said it was in there.

As for the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, you can only get around it when it's not there. Wehn it's up it means that JKR has locked that part of the site and no-one can get in. The opening times vary and the last time we could get in was April for the WOMBAT test. So it's best to check that room every now and then to see if the signs gone.

Does anyone know how to draw the lightning bolt? someone said something about a place on the site where it tells you how, can anyone tell me where that is? anythink would be extremely helpful.

Hey Abbyernathie. to draw the ligtning bolt you just have to click and drag the pen onto the white board and draw it. Simple as that. It will take some times getting the pencil to move where you want it to. There is a place somewhere on the site that shows you how to draw it correctly to complete the Easter Egg but I can't remember where it is. Hope that helps.

Has anyone mentioned that you can get one by clicking the egg in "rubbish bin".
That's me got seven so far,I don't have a clue about the other five.

Well you can find out all you need to know to get the easter eggs here, but I warn you, you will loose the chance to experiment and find out for yourselves how to find the hidden goodies. It is your choice if you want to take the easy way out, I know I did , I couldn't be bothered getting frustrated.

To get the picture of the lightning bolt, you go the the links page and wait for peeves to knock down the picture on th left. He takes about 5 minutes to come, and during that time, you can't click on anything. Also, has anyone found out if there is an easter egg to do with the keyboard on the home page. Because the butterfly lands on all the easter eggs, and it lands on the keyboard on the home page.

Has anybody found out for what are the two bottels in the Room with the dont disturb door for.

If you go to the Extra's section and click on the radio to turn on, there will be an announcement saying you need a certain amount of red and green potion to restore a plant. Go to the ? room and drop the amount of drops instructed on the plant to get your easter egg.

hmm, anyone know what the message is to be in the rubbish bin? at the bottom of the page are like 10-14 words cut out from somewhere. when you click them you can drag them around. i presume to make a message and reveal another easter egg.


the words are: "ring" , "tap" , "five" , "times" , "within," , "in." , "you" , "I am" , "and" , "no" , "get" , "here" .

yes 'within' has a comma, and 'in' has a period, and 'I am' is capitolized. so im thinking it may be a whole sentence, but i just cant figure it out. anyone able to decode this please help.

there is small scrawly writing, and ive even tried to freeze the page when it appears to read it but no luck

I've read everything on the backgrounds of every page that contains something, and I've come across nothing of interest. Well, ok, everything's of interest but nothing that I thought could be linked to the books or whatever. I've tried corresponding numbers to the Rune equivalent but nothing came of that, I've tried putting random numbers lying around into the phone and only two of those work. Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe there just there for decoration, which I think is more likely.

before each page loads fully you should press print screen and paste the picture onto paint. you dont get anything extra or anything though. if you do it on her desk you will notice that one of the books is the HBP or a list of its chapters anyway

theres 19 pages of this thread so im really sorry fpr not being bothered to read all through it and see if anyone else has had my same problem... but my computer wont let me do anything!! i can see the lil ?s where theres s secret... like on the medallions in the links section... but they wont move! and on the book that u drag to get the key but that wont do anything either! ims ure im doing it right its jus not working... any ideas?

also... the trophy in fan sites says bellatrix black on it... not bellatrix lestrange.. so even tho she and sirius are/were cousins.... could that be cousins through marriage aswell and siblings... or ... maybe they got married once. cus we know the pure blood families married together to keep their family 'pure'... feel free to direct me elsewhere if theres already a discusison boutthis somewhere.

Hmm... It might be because you don't have Flash on your computer. I know it wouldn't let me do anything until I downloaded it. Thing is it told me to do that straight away when I first went on.

Anyway, I just came in here because I wanted to say something about the ringing phone on the main page. I stayed on it for ages (about 15 minutes) just staring at it, and when it rang, I picked it up. And it wasn't even that exciting. Just in case you're thinking of going on it, don't... I won't say what it actually is though.

Hi there...just wondering if any one knows if the spider still comes across the screen for one of the easter egg hunts. As I have sat with the computer on site for better part of 1/2 hr - 45 mins and I don't see it ever.

I have tried opening it up on several windows and clicked on one and not the other just in case you have to activate one. .. but nothing.

I was curious if it was still active for the easter egg hunt that requires the quill/feather, spider, flask and leaves.

Once you have found the easter egg that the spider is used for, it disappears.
So, if you already have solved that one, you won't see that spider again.
I wonder if it is possible to "reset" the site so you can play all the little games again? I had fun doing those things. One thing I can't get, though, is the one where you need to draw the lightning bolt on the scrap of paper near the bulletin board. I have a tremor in my hands, and I just can't do that one.

Well....guess that means no go then. I think your computer's cookies make it so that once the site comes up it recognizes the fact you have done the easter eggs.

The one for the lightnight bolt doesn't have to be really accurate...it's just as close as you can get it.....maybe an idea is to get a friend to draw it for you once you get peeves to show it for you again.

sorry, but that made me smile as it brought back vivid memories of my many many attempts to get it.

I eventually gave up and forced my steadier-handed boyfriend to have quick attempt.

He soon became obsessed and came up with the ingenious idea of tracing the picture of the lighting bolt and have me hold it upto the sheet.

It didn't work , in a fit of frustration he angrily wiggled the mouse in a general 'bolt' shape and...

...it worked I was highly amused, but after all his effort and ideas he sulked, but only for a few minutes as quicklly brought up the new information to distract him.

So perhaps, anrgy random wiggling is the key

The Easter Egg thing is pretty neat. I never knew anything about it before....spot the girl who is slow on the uptake. Maybe it is because I never spend any time on J.K Rowlings site! Anyway, good luck all!

I had this problem as well. I think that you might be clicking on the wrong button to get into her site. if you're clicking the button labled "Enter Accessability Enabled Version" use instead the first button on the bottom left titled "Enter Site" with the british flag on it. It should work and you should be able to move stuff around and collect potions. If this doesn't work for you, I'm not sure what else to do.

I was wondering if someone could help me-i go into the rubbish bin section and turn the coffee mug, and it makes a circle-i don't know why!

Also, you can move the words at the bottom of the same page into a sentance and i think it has to do with the coffee mug-but i don't know what!

I know you didn't miss me....but I have been away from the internet and Jo's site etc. for about a year and now I can't get some of the eggs. I have found that I cannot move the coffee cup or drag the ink pen to draw the lightening bolt. My previous eggs are all still in my scrapbook, and I was able to get the one from the phone by inputting Jo's B-day...but I suppose my question is ....do some of the eggs "expire" like the door opening?

Another thing...I see that the W.O.M.B.A.T. test was in the last door opening but could I still get an ID for it? The link still opens but I have nothing to input there.....any ideas?

Yes you spin the cup around five times (might take a bit of practice) the bits in the bottom which I think are tea leaves form a circle, then go to the Extra Section and there is a piece of paper that says circle with an actual circle on it, click on it and you will recieve your Easter Egg.

P.S, the paper is located near the bottom of the board.
