Mine is Professsor McGonagall. I like the way she doesn't let people walk all over her and how she stands up for her students and the other teachers.

I adore McGonagall. She's one of my fav characters... though I'm fond of Lupin too.

I really love the character (in the books) of McGonagal... She is awesome... A super-cool lady character of JKRs.

I must say that Lupin is by far the coolest teacher at Hogwarts, in my opinion. He's friendly, he knows his stuff really well, and he never loses his temper, even with Snape.

ps: dumbledore somtimes gets on my nerves.. i mean hes cool an all, but how can u remain calm everytime you talk 2 sum1, genarally speakin, whan he has his moments, he can be evil... i like evil things.... i just dont like goths

I almost voted for Lockhart though, he is easily the FUNNIEST teacher that has EVER come to Hogwarts!

But i have no clue as to why Umbridge is on the list.

Well, I put it on there because she's certainly a unique character, and some people are weird; they like the person who is hated the most. Like they're so horrible they're almost great. I don't feel that way though.

I see now! I guess it's... well, not understandable, exactly, but hey, some person's bound to be twisted enough to like her.

Lupin is also my favourite! He's so cool! But in the third movie I really liked Trelawney!! lol....she was so funny....But that's probably because Emma Thompson is such an great actress!!!

I don't have one favorite... I like Hagrid, Lupin, and McGonagall the best. Go Gryffindor!

My favorite is easily Professor Snape. Fantastically portrayed in the movies by Alan Rickman, my favorite in "Dogma," too, his attitude matches mine on rare occasions. He can be so very mean that it borders on genius.

I find it entertaining to read about Snape and Harry having a go at it. hehe. Especially when Harry gets in trouble. It's just amusing to me for some reason.

If I had Professor Bins, I'd get a pen like Rita Skeeter's and let it take notes for me. I could then either sleep, have a conversation with a neighbor, or do homework during History of Magic. It'd also be a good class to cause mayhem in, because Binns wouldn't notice who did it.

I don't like him as in I would want to be taught by him but I think he's an hilarious character.

Yeah, Hagrid would be a good teacher to have because he can relate to the students; the same as Lupin, and Dumbledore too, for that matter, way back when he actually taught.

My favorite teacher has got to be Lupin because he makes class soo interesting. The class with the boggart was soo funny and cool. Lupin ROX!

I love Lupin because he is one of the marauders and he is a really nice person but then I also love Minerva because she doesn't let anyone push her around.

Professor McGonagall! I like the way most of the time she is really strict and stern but occasionally lets the image slip for example at the end of OOTP when Peeves chases Umbridge out of Hogwarts with a stick McGonagall said she would have chased after her if Peeves hadnt stolen her stick!

I love McGonagall! I love her no nonsense attitude and even though she's strict and sometimes maybe a little bit unfair, she's still the best!

So hard to choose... Lupin or Snape... Snape or Lupin... Moony or Snivellus... Snivellus or Moony... vampire or werewolf... werewolf or vampire... I'm dying here! Need... blood... Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you, I chose Severus!

McGonagall is mine. Like everyone's been saying, she might be stubborn, but will treat everyone the same, even it is from her own House. She's an awsome character and i love it when she yells at Lee Jordan during some of the Quidditch games in the books. She shows that even though shes old, she can still act much younger.

Well, I skimmed over the choices and voted for McGonagall, accidentally not seeing Lupin. Although Lupin is my favorite character, and I adored him as a teacher, I think I like him even better as a person than as a teacher.

And I was always just so-so with McGonagall until Book 5, when she made me so happy by the way she treated Umbridge -- patronized her, yet in a way that she couldn't get in trouble for. What a clever teacher

i had a hard time choosing >_< but i picked lupin because he's just so wicked awesome. but i loved mcgonagall in book 5, for the same reason as matthew.

McGonagall is an awesome teacher. As everyone says, she's tough but fair; but it's her brilliantly funny lines (and imagining Maggie Smith delivering them) which makes her so great.

i picked umbridge....now before you all jump down my throat let me explain. SHe brought something to the HP world. Of course there was evil Snape but he didn't do the things she did. She was mind gamer and in the end was beaten. So she's gone and im haappy shes gone...unless the DADA is worse than her.

I like Lupin and Snape.

I voted Lupin as my favorite. He was Harry's favorite, and by far the most down to earth teacher at Hogwarts...so wise, beyond his years. Plus, you've got to be awesome when you grew up with James, Lily, and Sirius as your best pals. =)

I like Hagrid because he is one of the funniest charactors and he is a good teacher!

Lupin is the best, though I was close to picking Umbridge, that is one tough woman.

I love Lupin! He was so cool! Not to mention I have a soft spot for him because he loves Harry and is close friends with Sirius, well was close friends with him. And because he has a lot to deal with...being a werewolf and all.
