which characters do you hate? i hate cho and umbridge!!

Cho and Umbridge are the worst, but I hate all of the ones you listed.

Cho hurt Harry and she's hurting herself dwelling on Cedric ALL the TIME... I just want to punch her or hex her or something and scream at her "Get ON with your LIFE!"

I mean, I'll give her as much to be upset and cry about it sometimes. I know what it's like to loose someone close to me, as I lost two of my best friends last year... but I do NOT cry about it to everyone else... ESPECIALLY someone I like... Gah.

Yeah, I understand she's upset about it, but she seems to be dwelling on it every minute of every hour of every day of every week and so on and so forth. But she really doesn't need to talk about it, especially to the one person who saw it happen.

Please stop hating Cho just because she went and cried on Harry's shoulders. What, are you hating her just because she does what every human being does? Cry because they lost a loved one? She probably ISN'T dwelling on it every hour, or every second, but how are we going to know that? Because HARRY didn't seem to be interested. Yes, he doesn't want to talk about it, but maybe he could LISTEN then?

Umbridge is the worst.

We're not hating her because she's crying, we're hating her because we just don't like her as a person. Her obsessive need to cry is just something that annoys us, that's all.

She has an annoying personallity and a remarkable lust for attention. Harry would be willing to talk about it when he's ready to.

How would you know that she has a lust for attention? Nowhere in the books does it state that. Again, you are only judging from a distanced sight.

And I recommend that we just drop this skirmish over Cho right now, before I do something incomprehensibly stupid, and get myself banned. Or, one of you does something stupid and gets yourself banned.

As must be done with many of the characters in Harry Potter. Much information isn't given, so one must give facts to infer their own opinion. Cho seems to 'need' to be around a boyfriend all the time, and is overly jealous of Harry 'having another girlfriend'...

Notice the title of the post is "Who Do You Hate?". While the Anti-Cho discussion didn't belong in the Favourite Characters post, I assumed it did belong here. Sorry. I'll drop it. :roll:

I don't hate Cho. She's in a degree of turmoil and trying to cope with life unsuccessfully. Besides, she never intentionally caused Harry hurt or whatever; she just wasn't right for him.

Umbridge, on the other hand, is just horrible.

I voted for Voldemort!!! 'Cause I really HATE Voldemort!!! But without Voldemort there wouldn't be a real story about Harry Potter...but anyway...I voted for Voldemort...even if I really wanted to vote for horrible Umbridge.....'cause I really HATE her too!

Well Voldy and the Death Eaters arent that bad, lol. I actually thought Umbridge was pretty cool, when I first read the book I hated her character so much, but I just realized she is a woman who sticks to her ideas, lol. Wow...I'm sensing tension in here. Sorry to be a little late, but I also voted for Cho. Its not that she is a crybaby, but like you said, her personality. I just can't see Harry (or anyone) being with her. To tell you the truth, I wasn't really sure why she was soo upset the way she was. Yeah, I know its because of Cedric, but they were only dating for a little bit weren't they? Maybe she is just a little too over emotional. Thats just what I think...
