i tihnk after she finishes the 7th book she should rite a after school type of thing you know? i mean, write a couple books on the aftermath on the first 7? what ya think?

MOD EDIT : You've been told two times now by me. Please read the rules - netspeak is not allowed. That's words like "shud" and "wat" which I've edited for you but don't expect me to do it all the time.

I would love to see her do books about George and Fred's first two years. That would be quite excellent, and dare I say it, Puliter Prize finalists.
bianca
i think your totally right!!! she should! your opinion is great. i just really hope that this topic goes well. and i'm totally a harry/ginny shipper!!! wink.gif

MOD EDIT : You've been here long enough and have enough posts under your belt to know the rules. Double posting is not allowed. If you want to add/edit something, please use the "Edit" button at the top right instead of posting again. Also, netspeak is not allowed - "u" should have been "you". Your post has been edited. Personally, I would love to read about the years when James and Sirius and the bunch were in Hogwarts way back when. I've grown to love all of those characters so much that I want to know more about them. I wouldn't mind reading about Harry's post-Hogwarts adventures, either. wink.gif

dumbledore, you could get your wand type and your patronus by going to the topic and i guess answering the questions.

MOD EDIT : Please don't double post - that's why the edit button is there. I've deleted your second post and pasted it below, but we don't normally do that so if you want to add something in the future, please use the edit button to do so. Thanks.

yes, i think that would be interesting weem. i really would like to know what happen to james potter, lupin, and sirius when they were harry's age. and i would like too see how james and lily ended up together.

i think she should write harry potter villain alternatives, an altered re-telling of the HP books in the eyes of both the villains and heroes. Instead of re-writing some of the books, she could consider showing more light on what the antagonists and protagonists had done. Maybe take attention away from the Sorcerer's Stone from the first book and write on something else. And I would more so love to see a romance/(only because of the steamy scenes) / comedy/ suspense HP book. Now, i just wonder if she has that many thousands of hours to write the books... sad.gif

And a whole book dedicated to the lives of James, Lily, Sirius, Lupin, Snape, etc. and their lives in hogwarts and their reactions to being accepted.
PotterEnthusiast
I would love to see a Lily and James: The Early Days series and see what the adults in Harry Potter were like at Hogwarts.

thanks for your opinions gameboyv1 and potter enthusiast. you guys have great opinions and i totally agree with your ideas.

There is only one thing that she should write: a written apology to all her fans for writing a book called HBP.

Maybe, if she's merciful, she could rewrite the sixth book.

Wishing someone that won't vent his frustrations so easily,

People can't expect Jo Rowling to live up to their expectations every book. She doesn't have to write an apology to you about the Half Blood Prince just because you don't like it. If you didn't like it thats your opinion but its her book and she doesn't write to make you happy. Another thing, the whole series could be thought of as one book but they all had their little seperate story. However HBP was more of a bridge to 6 and 7 and thats its setting up for a big climax

I'm not sure what type of book she'll write but I hope she doesn't get a whole bunch of media attention from it because I found it very annoying with the HP books.

i heard taht she is going to write a short series on James potter.... i heard her say it in an interview but i dont' remember where
Ms-Know-it-all
A while ago I had an idea about this. JKR said that she might consider writing a textbook in aid of something (like she did for FB and QTtA) and it just hit me... what book have weh heard of CONTINUALLY since PS??

"Hogwarts: A History" of course!!!

I think it would be really good, i mean the amount of times we heard Hermione say "Hogwarts: a History" always made me really curious as to what would be in it!! I think it would be fascinating!

I also think that the Idea of Gred and Forge's first years are a great Idea... but I LOVE the idea of her writing about the exploits of the marauders and James' quest to win Lily's heart!!
juans90
the idea of the marauder is GREAT... and also i'd like jk to continue hp series i mean when harry is an adult... well anyway i'd be great to if she writes a complete brand new series!
Shellolly
I think that she should make a series about the first time Voldemort came to power.

Also, it would be interesting to read about when James went to Hogwarts.

Maybe even a book of biographies of each charactor and what they have done in their lives, especially those whose full story hasn't been told in the series yet....I'm curious about Siruis's childhood.
Rasta Wizard
I think she should write a book about Dumbledore because hes like 180 years old or something crazy like that. That would be interesting and give a insight on harry's role-modle

I very much agree. I think that if anything....JKR should write about Dumbledore. It would be like Tolkien going back and writing 'the Unfinished Tales,' about all the elves. This would be a filler, mostly on Dumbledore's life, and mostly...Grindelwald (sp?). I want to know about him...the dark wizard DD got his Order of Merlin for...that would be a story.
Padfoot12
I think JKR said that she was going to write something like a compilation of all the facts about the magical world, which would be good, but I think another story would be more interesting.
Of course, I would love a Book 8, but that's never going to happen, so...
I would really like a story about how Lily and James got together. I don't think this would happen because it wouldn't appeal to the broad range of readers she has now (probably only teens would read it rather than kids; more girls would read it than boys). I've read alot of J/L fan fic, but I'd still like to hear how she planned it out - Hopefully we'll find out more in Book 7!

i do agree that the harry potter books are the best books ever! hmm.. i was thinking that jkr would write something all about magic after the harry potter series.. because based from the response of fanatics from harry potter, maybe jkr would continue working on books related to magic.. if that would happen, i think i'll be addicted once again! ehehe! biggrin.gif

I think that the books she has written have been super!I think that there are alot of marauder fans out there and I think that they would agree with me when I say that she should or could write a few books dedicated to the marauders when they were young and at school.I think it would help those people out there who have many questions about them get an understanding of who the marauders really were, how they behaved, reacted to situations and dealt with things we are all dealing with at the moment... happy.gif I think it could also give us an insight as to why peter went...uh,should we say nutty? And also it could show us the young snape and his misfortunes and fortunes, for all the snape lovers out there...

I think it would be a real tribute to the two marauders who have past on... smile.gif

If jk does decide to write more about harry potter or the wizarding world i think it should be about dumbledore or the order before harry. perhaps when dumbledore first worked at hogwarts or when lily and james were at school. although we know a lot about dumbledore and his character do we know everything. it would be interesting to learn more about his background, heritage, bloodline, history, and family more. jk is very good at detailing characters and she would do a fantastic job i think writing a book on dumbledore about about his adventures. we could also learn more about his brother aberforth and much more. his link to phoenix's, etc. dumbledore is one of my all-time favorite's in the series and if jk were to write a book she should write it about dumbledore. magic.gif
missmugglebethany
i think she should continue her school books that she has written in the past like magical creatures and quiditch through the ages. maybe some of the spellbooks but what i would really like to see is her spend some time and write hogwarts a history. that would be really cool to have.
fragglecomegomibayas
I think that for the Harry Potter fans she should write about Hogwarts, a history, I would definitely buy that! And appart from the Harry Potter world, I think she should write a suspense story, I believe she would be good at it tongue.gif
Killian
I would like for her to write a book about the adventures of The Marauder's, before Harry Potter was even born. Remus Lupin (Moony), Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), Sirius Black (Padfoot), and James Potter (Prongs), about how they grew up, their adventures around Hogwarts, about how they travelled as animals in their Animagus forms which lead to them knowing passageways and corridors enough to create the Marauder's Map. Their relationship with Snape, and of course, James's relationship with Lily.

I think that could make a great book for Harry Potter fans and those who haven't read the Harry Potter books alike.
Dugiefrsh08
I belive that she shouldnt write anything more after the 7th book because i mean if you think about it what makes hp soo popular? yea im sure the characters and the story but its the fact tht we want to read what happens next tht keeps us readin soo if she didnt write anymore we would just have to deal with what we got and read the storie without knowing anymore than she tells us....
oceangurl91
I absolutely canNOT wait to see what JK Rowling will write next. The Harry Potter books have proven that she's one of the best authors of all time. I don't know, but I'm guessing that whatever she'll write next will also be a HUGEEE best-seller. Like Harry Potter?
I can't wait! laugh.gif
beyondtheveil
A lot of people here have good ideas. I definitely think she should write some more textbooks, or "Hogwarts: A History," or things like that. Also, I wish she would write about the Marauders' years at school. That would be fantastic! And a biography on Dumbledore... that would be the best thing I could ask for.

As for more books about the Trio... I think their story is at an end after the Deathly Hallows. That doesn't mean they're going to be DEAD... I just thing a nice epilogue should finish it off. I mean, if there was no mystery as to what happens next, it just wouldn't be right, would it?

Out of the Harry Potter series, I wish she'd write something like a vampire romance or something. I think she'd do really well on something like that, and vampires tend to make my heart melt wub.gif

At any rate, whatever she decides to write next- and I think we all agree on this- I just hope she writes!

Regards,
BTV happy.gif
