I would change all my classes for Hogwarts courses!
Hmm. . .I would change PE for Herbology, World History for DADA, Geometry for Charms, English for Transfiguration, Earth Science for Care of Magical Creatures, and a few others.

I would have to have DADA though!

if i got to trade a regular muggle class with a hogwarts magical class, i would definitely trade math for DADA. math is my least favorite subject and DADA seems so cool!

Well good thread...
I'd change EVERY lesson for Hogwarts lessons

but if I had to chose one then I'd chose...
Science for Potions (so we can actully do some praticals lol)
or
Maths for DADA
OR EVEN BOTH

I cant decide between Maths and Geog. I really hate Geog. because my teacher has bad breath but then again my maths teacher has BO and has a band called toxic yogurt ( yes his band is spelt like that) and sings they're rubbish songs all day long. He also scratches his beard with his marker pen which is really gross.
I think I'd trade it for DADA of Charms because I really like Proffesor Flitwick!!
well... theres mine

I would get rid of P.E. and change it for DADA. That or I would exchange Math/Algebra for Charms. And maybe... Environmental Science could change into Herbology

There are so many possibilities! Oh how nice it would be to just join in at Hogwarts, eh?

I would exchange my math classes for Transfiguration anyday. I dislike math. My teacher is great I just don't like number problems and equations. I would love to learn to turn 'scabbers into a water goblet'! LOL

I would probably exchange Maths for Care of Magical Creatures because Maths is the worst subject in the world and i would exchange it for Care of Magical Creatures because i would like to learn all about the Magical Creatures that live in the Harry Potter world(though i might pass on the Skrewts!!!

).

I think that i would exchange History for DADA and maybe math for charms... i dont know, i dont really like any of my subjects in school lol. i would love ot have any of the classes at hogwarts except for maybe history of magic

I would swap Math for Defense Against the Dark Arts because Math is my worst subject and I could use the knowledge of jinxes and hexes that DADA teaches you.

if i could change one subject for a hogwarts subject i would change match for my all time fav. subject POTIONS. i love potions!

I like this..
I think i'd like to swap Maths with Charms.. Because Maths is so confusing.. Even though i'm in top set..
And P.E with DADA.... Just because i'd like to..
I really wish it could happen in real life.

From just scanning through the posts, it looks like a lot of people are math haters, personally I love math, but its common knowledge around school that I'm a nerd, so...
Anyway, i would definatly get rid of French, for both the teacher, and the subject. I'll be so glad when I et to grade 12 and don't have to do it anymore. I would change it to transfiguration, because then effectivaly you could do anything, fly dive. walk, go into space, anything, just transfigure yourself into the nessacary thing.

lets see....
i'd trade math for DADA and i'd trade science for charms
actually, if it were up to me, i'd just trad all of my classes for magical subjects!

Dec 30 2006, 10:29 AM
I'll trade
all my subjects. But mostly i'll like to trade Bio with potions, charms or DADA. It used to be my favorite subject, but with the teacher i have. She is like Binns and instead of giving lectures she sings a lullaby and lulls us into a sleep

.
Honetly! Even the girl who tops in our grade is day dreaming during that class!! But it's mostly the teacher wanna trade.

If I could change one subject, it would be Chemistry for Potions. Chemistry is very similar to potions and between the two I'd take my chances with Potions. If I could reroute my whole schedule it would be:
English- Transfiguration because we try to transfigure language into essays and commentaries (I know it's not a good explanation)
Math- Arithmancy (that's self explanitory)
Biology- Care of Magical Creatures or Herbology (We study physiology and ecology which is sort includes creatures and we study plant physiology and photosynthesis so that could be Herbology)
Gym- DADA (instead of defending myself against basketballs I'd be defending myself against Dark Magic)
Chemistry- Potions (already explained)
Philosophy- Divination (In philosophy we have to divine things that we are not sure about and that is mostly mere speculation. As of course is divination.)
History- History of Magic (Self explanitory)
Art- Ancient Runes (art symbolizes meanings, emotions, thoughts. Runes are symbols)
?- Charms (I don't really know what charms could be?)

If it was just one i change PE to Defence Against the Dark Arts!! I love that subject!
If it was more, I'd trade in a fair few of my subjects, but keep my History, English and Design and technology.
Maths: I hate Maths, sooooo i'd change it into Tranfiguration!!
Science: Well i'd do Care of Magical Creatures, because i don't like plants much, but love animals!!
French: Errrrrrrrrrrrr i think maybe that could be....Charms possibly?!?
PE: Well that would be.. something physical...Defence Against the Dark Arts!! How super fun!!

!
Geography: Well i think that would be Ancient Runes i guess.
Art: I'd change that into.....Potions!! (You mix paint, you mix potions!)

Hehe... this will be fun!!
I'd change math for Transfiguration.
I'd change French for Care of Magical Creatures. Growing up in Canada, we're FORCED to study French even if we really don't care to learn it. Sometimes bilingualism isn't so nice.
I'd GLADLY exchange chemistry/physics for Potions.
I'd exchange religion (not world religions, I was always fond of that class, just regular Catholic school religion) for Defence Against the Dark Arts.
Lastly, I'd exchange art for Divination from a highly competant teacher, none of this Trelawney nonsense.
I'd keep the rest though.

math for DADA for sureee...LOLOL...if i could have 8 classes...mixed regular school and wizarding school...i'd probably take english, p.e., theatre, marketing, and potions, DADA, transfiguration, and care of magical creatures. =DD

I would change maths for DADA. It would very much of use.
And I would change technology for potions. It sounds like so musch fun! (apart from Snape)

If i was still at school, i would have swapped some subjects. I would have swapped Physics for Charms. I absolutely hated Physics. I just couldn't get my head around all the theories and formulas. Then i would have swapped Geography for DADA and since i had free periods, i would have filled them with Transfiguration. Ah, the joy if we could have really swapped subjects!

Ages ago I put geography for DADA. But recently, I had a dilemma. I wanted some flapjacks but we only had muffins. Anyway the point is I needed to transfigure it. And the second point is, we did something really fun in geography lately.
Another point is that we have been doing chemical reactions for over three months.
So I would switch Science
for
Transfiguration

Ohhh I like this thread.
I would switch my Biology class with Charms. My Biology teacher is possibly the worst teacher I have ever had. She takes the interest out of the class and makes me hate it so much. I would give anything to switch it to Charms hah.

lets see
school subjects :
I'll swap statistics with transfiguration ,
Geography with potions.
college subjects:
computer graphics with DADA
statistics again with transfiguration
after more thinking I think I'll exchange all the regular subjects with Hogwarts subjects

If only I could change all my subjects ........ that would be the best thing that could ever happen to me !!!!!!
On the other hand I do like some of the muggle subjects , like math , chemistry , english .
The class I hate most of all is history , I think that even the history of magic is more interesting than what I do at school .
But , on the other hand , if I could choose to do DADA or Potions Or Transfiguration instead of any of the muggle classes , I wouldn't think twice .................because no one in their right mind would rather do math instead of DADA ( my favourite class by far ) !!!!!!!

Oh yes...great idea! I would like to exchange my Spanish class......not that I don't like the language, but our teacher is definitely a Trelawney...she is so boring and I finish all my homework from other classes in her class! The real question is what I would change it with....probably transfiguration or charms....you get to actually learn magic...that would be way cool!

My math or English because both teachers are really annoying and they give us tons of homework. Why?
Because my english teacher is a Snape or Umbridge deffinetely no doubt about it.
My math teacher is a Trelawny wich makes it boring and she's also a Umbridge.
I would switch eitherone of these with Charms, Transfiguration, or DADA.
DADA as long as I don't have Umbridge, Snape, or Lockhart as the teacher.

I think it is interesting that so many people want to get rid of their math classes. I just graduated with a math degree, and I have always thought it sad that so many people hate math. Is it more the subject or the teachers? I always felt that a good teacher can make any subject tolerable at least.

If i could change a subject for an HP one i wold definately change english and science becasue they are so boring but i think i would have to swop for all the HP subjects (except divination becasue its so pointless) beacsue no normal sbject is on par with the Harry Potter subjects you cant just change one for one. however if i had to pick one it would have to be either DADA or Transfiguration.
hp is my obsession
May 16 2007, 10:35 AM
I like most of my subjects except maths, but I'm pretty good at that and I will need it in the world, wizarding or muggle. I would probably give up music for transfiguration or charms. I love music but sometimes I wish I never chose music , it's so BORING! lol

I would oh,so gladly exchange History with Charms or Transfiguration.I have hated History from the moment I started learning it,which was 9 years ago.And technically,I am not learning it.I just memorize it and then forget all about it.But Charms and Transfiguration seem very interesting and exciting subjects to me.I would learn useful things.

Haha, Regitize I laughed when I read your post saying your math teacher is a mix of trelawny and lockheart. i would like to get rid of math too--my teacher is a mix of lockheart and snape. i'd probably replace it with ancient runes or charms.

Ah, wow.. if only! I wish I could swap all mine, really.
Well, I would probably swap my Chemistry class from this past school year with DADA. Strangely enough, the once-college-professor who taught the class looked like the male version of Umbridge with a personality like Snape.

May 31 2007, 02:41 AM
Um, let's see... Science: boring - has got to go. History: boring and difficult. Gotta go. And I would like to try Potions (only without Snape) and Transfiguration...so that's that.

Spanish out, Defence against the Dark Arts in.
I can't see DADA being particularly useful in our world, but then again, the way I speak it, neither is my Spanish

Aug 12 2007, 04:02 AM
I would swap out Geometry, for Defense Against the Darks Arts.
That would definitely be the greatest change, because DADA is so interesting, and math to ME is just.. ugh.
And History for Charms.
History is tiring and a bore, but Charms must be fun to learn
and both of these magic classes help in the future.

I know it is a false hope but I would love to trade my English class for a DADA class or a Transfiguration class. I really cant stand English anymore. I am going to be a senior in High School and I am still taking English classes. Enough already!

Well I think that I would swap English to either Transfiguration, Charms or DADA. I would like to do all three of those subjects, I can't pick which one I would like to do more!
Probably Transfiguration. But I hate English, so I'd definately get rid of that.

I feel like trading my Chemistry class with a Charms or Transfiguration one! My Chemistry techer is a mix between Umbridge and Trewalny, so... it's horrible! I whouldn't mind if Snape would come and teach chemistry insted...

Aug 13 2007, 05:14 PM
Well,
Half_Blood_Princess, I would have to aggree with you on that one!! My Chemistry teacher is a nice old guy, but he's old, makes lame jokes, and makes everything so boring!! I wouldn't mind Snape either!!

If I couldn't swap Chemistry, I'd swap English. It's such an opinionated subject! If your teacher disagrees with a type of writing, you get a bad grade. Or, if they don't think you presented it well enough, etc. I would want to swap for either DADA, Potions, or Transfiguration.
