The last I remember seeing Penelope Clearwater being mentioned was somewhere in PoA - Percy's last year of school. Since he's graduated and started his career, has he lost contact with her? Is he so wrapped up in his career that he has no time for love? I thought things were going well with them - did I miss something?
She could make a grand return by helping Percy mend fences with his family.

I agree, where is she? I do like your idea of her making a wonderful return and help Purcy get on good terms. Maybe Purcy has been seeing her but we just ahven't been told. They should really get married at the same wedding as Bill and Fleur. I also say that Lupin and Tonks should marry at that wedding.
Sorry for going a little off track.

As you've started this in the SHIPS section, I'm presuming that you're referring to the Percy/Penelope relationship and so I'm going to change the title to clarify things a bit.

I don't mind her disappearing into the sunset, but I think a brief explanation would be good. Maybe when all is said and done, and Percy is back with the family, having him say something to the effect of "You know, I haven't seen Penelope in ages, and she's just taken that teaching position at Beauxbottons - maybe I'll stop in for a visit".
Or, if things go badly for Percy in the war, have her show up at his funeral.
Even though she was pretty much background filler, she has the potential to become more in the final book.

I hope Percy ends up wit Penelope! As far us we readers know Penelope was Percy's only ever girlfriend

. In book 7 I hope his priorities will be less work orientated and he will make up with Penelope and they will have a realationship.

I don't give a crap about Percy, but where
is Penelope? I guess because Percy is nowhere to be seen, neither is she. Not that I give a d###. If it went my way, he would be one of the ones killed off in Book 7. He is nothing special, so no one would care anyhow.

He could be hiding it just as he did in book 2. Percy is a perfect person. He can’t do anything wrong and I have a weird feeling that love is wrong. Maybe, if this relationship exists, that’s why he’s keeping it a secret. Perhaps he had a bad relationship or liked someone who didn’t like him back.

If I am not mistake didnt Percy said that she had gotten ¨fisty¨when Ravenclaw lost to Gryffindor in the Quidditch cup?? This could be the reason we dont see her anymore.

I was reading over HP 2 and it says:
"Well, er, if you must know, Ginny, er,walked in on me the other day when I was-well, never mind-the point is, she spotted doing something and I, um, I asked her not to mention it to anybody........"
I was wondering if anybody knew what he was talking about.Probably something about Penlople?

I read Flight of the Threstrals by GD-7 on fanfiction.net and it converted me to the idea that the reason why Percy had a falling out with the family is because he wanted the job so that he could propose to Penny. When yelling ensued, he stormed off and didn't think about telling them why he wanted the job. Then Dumbledore found out and told him to be a spy for the Order but he couldn't tell his family. So in the end he proposed to Penny and they got married.
As a bonus, in Flight, he and Penny have a son and name him Arthur.
But yes, that's what I think happened to them.

I would deffinitely say that he was probably referring to being caught with Penelope Clearwater kissing or something.
And of course being stingy and so percy-like, he probably figured that anyone knowing what he did would ruin his reputation.
thats just a hunch though!

It's probably just kissing.
The wording can lead to endless possibilities though.

Who knew Percy actually had a life.

lol, that would make sense as much as a busybody he is. Who knew? But maybe it had to do with something else ?

I doubt it, because like i said before, he wouldnt want his reputation to be hurt.
But I can understand how that would interest you into further investigation!
Can you imagine if he really was doing something for Lv or something?
Then from there he worked at the ministry as a spy or soemthing crazy like that!
That would make one heck of a plot twist!

I'm not going to lie, that's a little bit scary. Think of other things that Percy could have meant... Eww... but I think he probably was talking about Penelope, because at the end of that book Ginny tells them on the train about Percy dating Penelope, and that has to be how she found out, because Percy probably wouldn't say.

I think that it was just kissing, I think that JK just didn't want him to say anything because he was enbarrassed that he did something that was "un-prefectish"...

Thats my words exactly!! Lol!!
But isn't that how they found out that Percy and Penelope were dating?

That one is what I said!
Its exactly my point, I think that JK didnt want that to get too sidetracked from what the trio was doing, so she let readers like us infer what he was doing. But I think we've all basically decided that they were deffinitely kissing.
Who would've thought someone like Percy could get a girlfriend!?

Yeah it was about Penolpe Clearwater wasn't it??
I remember reading at the end of COS that Ginny tells Ron and that. She walk in on Percy and her kissing.
That's right isn't it?? I hate Percy by the way!

They were almost at King's Cross when Harry remembered something.
"Ginny -- what did you see Percy doing, that he didn't want you to tell anyone?"
"Oh, that," said Ginny, giggling. "Well -- Percy's got a girlfriend."
Fred dropped a stack of books on George's head.
"What?"
"It's that Ravenclaw prefect, Penelope Clearwater." said Ginny. "That's who he was writing to all last summer. He's been meeting her all over the school in secret. I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upset when she was -- you know -- attacked. You won't tease him, will you?" she added anxiously.
"Wouldn't dream of it," said Fred, who was looking like his birthday had come early.
"Definitely not," said George, sniggering.
So that explains it.
