I took the amimagus and the patronus quizzes, and ended up with a barn owl and a phoenix, so that will be my answer.

What do you like to do when you have spare time?

Then I like to read or hang out with friends. I also like to ride my scooter.

Mostly all the magical creatures, but also qudditch. I love the way they worship quiddich, just like we do to the many national sports in "muggle world"

Magical Creature-

Both my Animagus and Patronus are a Pheonix (according to the quizzes) - and since they are a reflection of the indiviuals personality (and I really like them ), I'd like to think that a phoenix best reflect me too I'd really love the ability to heal, as the phoenix does, I'm a little biased at the moment because I've just got off the phone to my mum, who is disabled but even if I couldn't heal completely them then perhaps the ability to stop them from feeling the pain (so I guess I want to be morphine tongue.gif ), I'm sort of doing the healing-thing as I am desperately trying to get my PhD in neurology and hopefully help to heal people in a not-direct manner through the findings of the research. I'd love to fly like the phoenix, as there would be nothing better that flying through the air and feeling it rush through my hair (erm..feathers ), I ideally want to own a Harley and try and replicate the feeling that way. I am loyal (sometimes to a fault) and couldn't imagine myself being family pet as I do like to spend time on my own quietly reflecting (for quietly reflecting read: "playing minesweeper" ) and would feel overwhelmed if a herd of children started patting and trying to comb my feathers - so I'd like to think that I would be independent like the phoenix

Regular Animal -

I'm not sure, and perhaps it is just wishful thinking on my part (because I love cats) but I think that my personality is somewhat analogous to that of a cats - they can be very loyal, but also don't like too much fuss made of them and are very independent but also very loving too ( I like hugs, but need to be left along when I am trying to work etc - which unfortunately is a lot of the time, and sometimes feel too claustrophobic when too much attention is focused on me or sometimes in group situations - probably because I'm shy).The shyness of cats, they can often be very anxious and nervous of new things but very curious too - that is definitely like me (I love delving into the unknown but also feel very timid when doing so) They are predominantly nocturnal creatures, and I too am a night persons (much to my better-halfs' chagrin ). Either that or a field mouse - because 'm small and like the outdoors (and have been known to squeak when "boo-ed" )


What do you like to do when you have spare time?

I adore reading, listening to music and playing bass (and doing silly dances when I think no-one is looking tongue.gif) and art & writing (I'm not particularly good at either but I do enjoy it). I actually enjoy analyzing things, which may be why my passion in life is to become a researcher and I adore the HP books tongue.gif. I love spending time with friends/family but also like 'alone time'. I love walking around the local(ish) wood and beach, so peaceful and beautiful. I'm a Pagan so I really do love nature, not just the "pretty" parts but also the not-so conventionally pretty aspects - each part is important and so beautiful

good:
* I'm a good and loyal friend
* I'm (hopefully) fun and take people who they are,
* and I seem to somehow be getting through uni (so I guess smart or more accurately very lucky )

bad:
* I'm hopelessley disorganized with some things but obsessively organised with others (there seems to be no happy middle-ground),
* I overanalyse everything
* I often react too quickly to things (which means my emotions change too quickly)
* I'm incredibly shy (which makes giving presentations a very stuttery mess)
EDIT: and apparently even why asked just to list 3 things, I still go and over board and include too much stuff, sorry)


What is your favorite sport (to watch or to play)?

Gynmanstics (hopefully that counts) watching it can be so beautifully, the graceful arches, the smooth motions, I love the rhythm of it - like a dance that expresses so much like deep sorrow or bursting with happy energy- it is full of lively and energetic movements that take of lot of balance and dexterity. It requires a great deal of concentration - but not too much or the instinctual flow would be crushed, over thinking about the individual movements required would ruin the overall balance of the movement and cause it to be stuttered and fail

I was in a gymnastic group at high school (although no where near as good at those individuals you see on television, when I finally mastered all of the back flips etc I was put into a competition but messed it up, because they didn't preview the music with us and when it came to the day, I slipped up upon first hearing it because it actually sounded a little-bit too much like clown music, and my concentration was gone for the remainder of the competition- Ooops) It was a lot of fun, very bouncy and lively and great for unleashing all the pent up energy


What would you like to be when you grow up?

Hopefully (crossed fingers and touch wood) I want to finally finish my PhD in neuroscience and become a researcher, (Please feel free to ignore the rest of this paragraph it is quite boring) mostly concentrating on stress, depression, the cardiovascular system (HPA axis etc), I am currently doing my thesis in the role that glucocoritcoids have in linking stress and depression, and trying to put forward that they may offer a new role in treatment as they actually mediate the serotonin, noradrenaline, dopamine etc that has bee well-documented as playing a key role in the development of depression, but still a large percentage of people do not respond to treatment, so I'm trying to say that perhaps it is those individuals who may benefit from a glococorticoid-related treatment (in this group of people, these are the ones most likely to self-administer with street drugs, self harm etc - because they are not really responding to the SSRIs, Tricyclics etc, and it is predominantly these people that have highly actuve Mu receptors (hence the aforementioned self-harm, use of drugs specifically opioids) and glucocorticoids also have a significant effect on these receptors - so it would be worth giving it a go

I'd also like to stay with Andi (my better-half of 8 years - poor guy), master the art of decorating without wanting throw paint at each other, teach our pet cat, Dusty, that feet aren't toys, , live on a Small-holding in the country, where Andi can tend to the vegetables and animals and I can stay hidden away researching and some day be a crazy cat lady and have millions of cats

What interests you in the magical world?

Everything (how cliche) but I honestly believe that I'd spend the first few year completely mesmerized by everything, but the favorite thing would be a toss up between all of the magical creatures that there are (I love HP Lexicon because they list them all, and when I'm doing my wizarding job thread I do spend a little to much time researching the different creatures and giving too many people animal-related profession ) not just the normal ones but I'd be like Hagrid and love the "ugly" and dangerous ones too, they are so diverse and wonderful - or flying on a broomstick - that would be magnificent, I'd spend hours and hours whizzing around (as aforementioned, with the wind in my hair, the breeze on my face and loving the speed) or going more slowly and looking at the wonders beneath me, being able to stop off ant any mysterious location and exploring the magnificence held within.

Well, my patronus is a Chinese Water Dragon - which I thought was pretty cool. I have a book on dragons, and water dragons are really awesome. I have always thought it would be cool to control an element like water. I got that because I'm a risk taker, swimmer, and earth wielder. My animagus is a barn owl. As a regular animal I can see myself as a barn owl. Owls are seen as wise, and people are always coming to me with their problems or asking for advice.

What do you like to do when you have spare time?
Read, bake, read, surf the web, read (is there a pattern here?) I really do like to read. I try to read at lease one book every week. Sometimes I can squeeze in two or three. I do love being in the kitchen. Baking is my passion. Especially gingerbread houses. Being able to create a structure out of baked dough and candy is just plain fun. I spend time with my family. We cook together, do puzzles, play games, or just talk. I also, of course, spend time on the internet. Obviously - since I'm here. I love talking about HP, reading HP, watching HP...etc. Wow, since I quit my last job and took one with less demands I seem to have a lot of spare time.

Good - Well, I think I'm a fun person to be around. I have a dry (but great) sense of humor, and I cannot abide liars and hypocrites.
Bad - I know I can be judgemental (my first impression is the one I will go with and I don't usually change my mind), I set (for myself) really high standards (sometimes too high), and I have been guilty of holding others to those standards.

I love football, both college and pro (not arena).
