*bounces around* Tekken 5 is coming out!!!! Ugh, I'm like the biggest Tekken fanatic EVER! Inspired by dansgurl01 to make this thread, I have wondered, what IS it with Paki girls and Tekken? I LOOOVE the storyline, although it is a tad bit off the religious side (selling your soul to the devil for revenge...hmm....) it's still very interesting!

My favorite character is Ling Xiaoyu. Julia Chang SUCKS.

i hate julia too!! i like nina, eddy (he is an easy player to use), and jin( he is my favorite!!) i hate anna and julia! i like michelle from the older game tho

i like the way they move in the tekken games and hwo the gameplay is when your fighting

OOOOOHHH, when my brother uses King. He decided to go learn all the chain throws, ARGH. It was really hard to get out, but you just have to hit all the buttons repeatedly.

Kazuya is also eerily hot.

I think Anna is supposed to be back in Tekken 5 though....argh, I HATE Anna.

Virtua Figher > Tekken.

Tekken is more lenient on the button mashers; whereas, Virtua Fighter requires the skills to pay the mortgage.

*snorts loudly* Virtua Fighter to Tekken? It TAKES forever to implement a move in Virtua Fighter. Tekken isn't that lenient either. It was in Tekken Tag and Tekken 3 but in Tekken 4 it kinda slowed down. Tekken 5 is supposed to kick extreme butt though.

Actually, he probably isn't really dead, but in the trailer, it was Jin's ending, and then all the Jack's came in and then Kazuya escaped, and then the Jack self-destrcuted right in front of Heichachi. And then one of the new characters (Raven) reported to his "elders": "Heihachi Mishima......is dead."

So, do you guys think that Asuka is related to Jin somehow? I think they're cousins or something, because she's probably not his aunt....because she's only 17. And she's probably not his sister either. (I'll go into hysterics if she is)

i think she is related to him, some distant relative maybe. i dont think that she is anyone too close.

Okay, it's been over two years since some one talked about Tekken on VTM so I'm taking it upon myself to try and revive this topic. Why, you ask? There are two reasons: 1) Because it is my firm belief that Tekken is the greatest fighting game series ever created. 2) Because I have lately found myself running out of Harry Potter stuff to talk about. I truly believe that this topic could really take off due to all the recent news about Tekken.

For all you die-hard Tekken fans out there, there is a great Tekken fansite out there. If you're interested, feel free to send me an owl and I'll give you the link. I don't want to be guilty of SPAMing so I'm not going to post it here.

Without further ado, I'll get this thing going by giving my relevent info:

Playing Tekken Since: Tekken 2, 1995-96

I have a PS2 and two copies of Tekken 5 (you know, just in case). I have played Tekken: DR on the PSP but after I beat the game with everyone, experimented with the new characters Lili, Dragunov and Armor King, and tried out King's new moves, I stopped playing it and gave it back to the friend who let me borrow it. I gotta tell ya, that PSP is a real pain in the neck (literally). Plus, the D-Pad stinks on that thing. I can't pull off half of my moves with it! But anyways, I really love the game and have been playing it since high school (yes, I'm 28). I used to be a huge WWF fan (WWE now, I guess) and that's why I liked King. But when I first started playing he was really hard to use so I used Armor King and Yoshimitsu instead. Right around Tekken Tag is when I finally got ahold of King's moves--- namely, his throws. Now, nothing pleases me more than watching King roll his opponent around on the ground for 100 points of damage or so .

So, does anybody have any Tekken news? The latest I've heard is that Namco Bandai has decided to release Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on PS3 as kind of a buffer to keep us satisfied until the release of Tekken 6. There has been no release date for it yet (to my knowledge at least) but I do know that it will be a downloadable game that can be purchased only from the Sony Store online.

I hope there are more HP/Tekken fans out there that wanna take a break from HP and chat about Tekken strategies and characters and whatnot. That's all I have for now.

I have Tekken 2 for PS1 and I love it!!! I don't play it as much as I used to though because I don't play my PS1 games anynmore because the PS2 games are better and I haven't bought Tekken for my PS2 yet!!! In Tekken 2 I always go either Paul or Law because they two ar emy favourites and I always win with them!!!

I played Tekken all the time when I was younger! My favorite character was Anna, and I remember when I got past the first level to be the panda, I got so tired that I had to quit. And at the time my dad always beat me... He always was the weird robot-guy, who had the laser beam sword or whatever.
I don't think that I have it anymore...

When we stayed with our friends we played Tekken. Whenever it was my turn that was the game that went in. My favorites are the girl in yellow and orange Xi-something I can never remember her name, Anna, Julia, and the red head guy. Unfortunetly I can't remember his name either.
I actually got first place in survival on my friend's Ps2. Took me a while.
I couldn't figure out how to make the combos work and every one else just told me to push buttons so I just kicked really fast and hey it worked.

Hmm it seems that years go by in between posts in this thread. Not too many Tekken fans out there I suppose. I haven't played it myself in a real long time, as a matter of fact since my Playstation days. Tekken was the choice game for my brother and myself to go head-to-head. He liked sports games and I liked RPG's, but Tekken always brought us together. He used to get so mad when we played, because he would do these awesome combos and I was just go crazy pushing buttons and I would still win lol.

Oh I love Tekken! I have Tekken 2, bought it years ago way back when I had a PlayStation 1! My sister introduced me to it, I'd never even heard of it before then! But I love it now! And well, I'm not too bad at playing it! I can even beat my sister now!

I have Tekken on PSP...

my fave charecter is Lily... she's got this super move-she grabbes you by the neck, puches you to the ground and stepps on your face
