just letting you know that I've added the 'What songs fit ships' thread into this- since it's all pretty much the same concept.

Just a reminder though, that this thread should NOT consists of one-liners. If you have an idea for why a song fits a particular character, scene or ship--- let us know WHY. Explain it out a little. Tell us why you think that song relates instead of just putting the song/artist and leaving it at that.

Okay I think the song ''Who Knew'''by P!nk would be good for Ginny after breaking up with Harry. Because who knew that it would hurt Harry so much and who knew it would hurt Ginny so much. I also like the song ''The Reason'' for Ron and Hermione. It is a good song with lots of meaning behind it.

Reading back through some of these made me chuckle about some of the ships. Lupin and Tonks especially. So along the lines of cheeky cute I have to throw out my own twisted little favorite for Lupin and Tonks and that would have to be "You Took the Words Right Outta My Mouth" by MeatLoaf. Long live Meatloaf!!

Oooh and the Earl King for any seen with a bad guy. (I know, I know, cliched, right?) And lastly Old Man River for when Harry's staring at the lake at the end of OotP. Wait, one more... Special K for HBP when Harry's chasing Snape.

Hermione and Ron: "Jack and Diane" by John Cougar Mellancamp, the words fit them to a "T", they are just two kids growing up in the heartland, bored with their lives and not sure of their future together.

Lupin and Tonks: I would have to say a good song for them would be "Too Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen. I like this one 'cause where Lupin was a professor and Tonks was a student at one time, and their age difference is spaced out she is "hot" for Lupin the "teacher"

"When You Say Nothing At All" when harry kisses ginny for the first time because... he doesn´t say anything

ok i got a good one when they show harry getting bossed around by the dursly in the frist movie a great song for that would be "I'm Just A Kid" by simple plan
and at the yule ball when hermione is getting ready and putting on make up a good song would be "Wake Up" by hilary duff because it's about going out and partying when know one thinks your very pretty sort of like hermione.

On a lighter note, the song 'Accidentally In Love' is quite suitable for the R/Hr relationship, very light hearted and enjoyable song . I like the lyric relating to strawberry ice cream.

Some songs I think fit HP are these:

-"Just Like Heaven" by the Cure- it fits Ron/Hermione and is one of my most favorite songs.
-"Eternal Flame" by the Bangles- again, Ron/Hermione.
-"Love Will Tear Us Apart" by the Joy Division (but covered by FOB)- I think it fits Harry/Ginny. Even the title will tell you.
-"Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls- fits the whole story in general. So does "Let Love In."
-"You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins(or from Tarzan)- note: NOT A LOVE SONG! I think it fits Sirius and Harry. Harry, having lost Sirius, will always hold him in his heart. That song makes me cry.
