I'm into AC/DC, Van Halen, Heart, Pat Benatar, and maybe a little Linkin Park ("In the End" is the most best!).

I didn't know Pat Benatar and Linkoln Park were heavy metel, but if they are i love them. Benatar is awesome! So is ac/dc

heavy metal, as in calssic metal? for me, only the Crue...

I also like listening to Quarterflash, another metal group from the '80s.

I like some heavy metal, like Ac/Dc, underOath, Blindside, Staple, and like one or two Metallica songs. I'm mostly into Emo and punk/pop punk.

Yeah I don't think AC/DC is heavy metal, they're classic rock. I consider Metallica, Linkin Park and Korn heavy metal bands. I'm not really into any of those bands (except AC/DC).

I like metal aswell, mainly Slipknot & Korn with some Mudvayne, Metallica, Faer Factory, SOAD, Static-X to name a few

Used to be a major metalhead... Back in the day...

Early Metallica, Exodus, Testament, Overkill, Anthrax, Raven, Venom, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Kreator, Armored Saint, etc...

Then I drifted into more "modern" stuff, like Alice In Chains, STP, Godsmack, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, et al.

Never really got into the "New Wave" metal, a la Korn, Linkin Park, and that band with the masks.... Slipknot, is it? As a musician, I can't really see the point. As a lyricist, well, they do seem to have something to say, I just can't be bothered to listen long enough to hear what it is...

some of today's REAL hardcore is still good, try Norma Jean, Alexisonfire, or UnderOATH...

but really, my true love is Emo, not metal...

you have a lot of great groups with the heavy metal style..
lamb of god, slayer, dream theater, dragon force, rhapsody, def leppard, black shabba, sepultura, lacuna coil, marylin manson, korn, slipknot, metallica, disturbed, rage ageinst the machine, there are a lot of cool groups

buuut...also PUNK rocks!!! ja buuut jeje also what kind of punk...the guys how like...panic at the disco!, fall out boy, taking back sunday and that kind of bands...mmm...those are ''posers'' and ''punks wanna be''
the real PUNKS like...the distillers, boxcar racer, transplants, rancid, sex pistols, the casualties, billy talent, blink 182, the offspring, courtney love and others...

Love metal, pretty much the only genre I listen to. I love Gothic Metal and female-fronted metal bands. Anways, my favorite bands are:

I hate the mainstream stuff, especially Slipknot and Korn, both are terrible bands. Manson is pretty overrated also, but his older stuff is ok.

It's ok.i find metallers are really narrow minded.
I do like symphonic metal though.
The musicians are fantastic and VERY talented

Yes, I'm into it. There's a lot of different variations on heavy metal these days which is pretty interesting. It's interesting to see how music evolves and from heavy metal we get things like thrash metal, death metal and so on.
I don't really have a favourite band but I do really love Nightwish before Tarja left although the first track on Dark Passion Play is really wonderful, I love Tuomas's scores.

A while ago I never would have thought I'd like heavy metal, but now I'm kind of into it. I've played the Evanescence CD I found in my parents' CD rack a few times, and I liked the sound of it. I got one of my sisters into it as well, and we listen to it about once a week now. I don't know many other bands, but I think I should go and see if I like those other songs.

I have within temptation as my favourite band but I like to listen to many others too. I found them at youtube last summer and I've listened at them since then. Symphonic metal is really good!

Ok so my playlists are made up mainly of heavy metal and related genres.
But it's hard what to categorise as heavy metal these days because of all the new or more popular genres out there such as goth, gothic industrial, emo, thrash metal and so on.

metal=not my thing.

I'm definitely not a big fan of this genre. However, I do have a tiny bit of Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold on my ipod I will listen to on random occasions. I dont like scream music very much, it annoys me usually.

For me there's a fine line between Rock and Heavy Metal.
I love Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Ronnie James Dio, Wasp and Apocalyprica.
I also love The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Uriah Heep, Magnum, Tool, Skid Row and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The BEST CONCERT EVER was Iron Maiden

Evanescence isn't a bad band. I'm not really into their stuff, but I really like Skillet. They don't have a large fanbase yet, but I think they are up-and-coming. I don't know if you consider them heavy metal, but they are really good.

Apocallyptica is an amazing band as well.
