Haha, I'm a retired Pokemon fan! I used to be obsessed with it, really. I knew the theme song and everything..it was probably when I was about 9 or 10 or something..I collected the cards too. Some of them are worth a lot if they're authentic..so watch out, you could have the real deal on your hands..*reminisces the good ol' days*..snaps back to reality *SNAP*. Bwhahaha. =)

Oh yea, me too..I forgot about the video games! How could I? Well, I used to play like the old versions of Pokemon on Gameboy [ex: red v., yellow v., blue v.] and I loved playing Pokemon Snap on Nintendo 64..when it was "in" at the time. Haha.

I used to love it about 5 years ago, when I was in 5th grade.

There's like all these new Pokemon that it's hard to count and it gets sort of boring. You go around getting different badges and different pokemon. It's almost like a routine. Wow it was really popular years ago. But it's sort of like power rangers. that thing is still on. The original Power Rangers had such horrible effects, yet it's more popular than today's episodes. (oops sorry for getting off track

I cannot put the gameboy games down either! They are so addictive. The show is funny, but now-a-dyas the cards are a joke.

POKEMON, GOTTA CATCH EM ALL, I KNOW IT's MY DESTINY, OHHHH, YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND, IN A WORLD WE MUST DEFEEEENNDDDDDDD....
I love Pokemon. So so so much. And, I don't care if it's not fashionable anymore, or that I'm too old, I'm 21 years old and proud to be a wannabe member of Team Rocket. Am also proud to own a HUGE amount of cards, including some pretty rare ones, currently have Pokemon Ruby in my GBA, Pokemon Colloseum in my GameCube, and somewhere, in my old Gameboy Color, Pokemon Silver, all the movies, and still sometimes go under the name Jesse Rocket/Jesses Best Disguise online....
*surrounds myself with my pokemon plushies and Jesse and James figures and defies anyone to stop me stealing ALL the pokemon*

I loved Pokemon a few years ago. I once in a while watch the movies on cable because they are pretty good visually. Pokemon 2000 was great. Once they add Pokemon after 150 I stopped liking it... I was also obsessed. Spent hundrends of dollars on cards.

I used to like the show but now the characters drive me nuts.
I still play the older Game Boy games. I've had Crystal for five years and still can't catch those darn legendary pokemon.

I am 15 years old (16 in July) and i still love Pokemon. I don't know where people are getting the impression that Pokemon is just for very young kids, but...oh well i can get you're point that normally kidz watch the show...why shouldn't older kidz or even adults get to watch Pokemon? Anyway I do love Pokemon but its not as if i'm as obsessed as those who HAVE to collect everything - but thats not such a bad thing for those who do just that, i think its a fun hobby to like pokemon. 'course its very difficult to find people who actually like Pokemon anymore but there are still quite alot who are still into it. I know cos i collect the Magazine (Pokemon World).
I've liked Pokemon sinse Pokemon Yellow came out, and my Dad bought it for me for my birthday (i was nine years old) and now, seven years later, i havn't grown out of it. I'm not sure why i havn't grown out of it. Its just one of those things. Then again i like anime and watching cartoons - i have recently got into Avatar - so that might explain why i still have a fasination for Pokemon. However, i have to say the programmes are getting abit weary. I can't watch them any more coz i don't have sky and they don't show it on Freeview; its soo stupid not to show it on Freeview when its a digital channel also; some people can't afford Sky. My sister's recently switched to freeview coz Sky was too expensive. But anyway i straying off the point here...
.......
I still collect the movies. My favourites are Pokemon 2000 and Pokemon 4ever. I bought the most recent movie in the UK (Jirachi) and i'm not too sure it was any good. [MOD EDIT] everytime i try to watch it i get half way through and then i get board. I think they need to regain their contract with Warner Bros. again and do some more like the 1st, second and third movies. They've gone abit out of wack sinse they stopped making official cinema movies. It seems as the movies are getting just like the cartoon series but they go on for and hour instead of 20 minutes.
Again, i'm not as obsessed at Pokemon as i used to be but i still enjoy it all the same. I even can't wait to get the new (DS) game next month, in July. The one i want is Diamond. I'm not too sure about Pearl because i don't like the pokemon that represents it. I would much prefer Dialga all the way (not Palkia). Sorry - I AM SOOOO SAD...i know the names.
Mod Edit: Please Check you in basket. You will be receiving a PM Shortly.

Pokemon is just awesome no matter how old you are. Enough said.
Pokerant coming on -
Pokemon is an important part of our culture believe it or not. It was so popular when it came out and kids all over the place got addicted. Think about it. About 7 years ago pretty much every 6th grader and under watched pokemon, probably even some older kids. 7 years later the kids grow up and forget about it, but someday they'll look on the TV and see an old rerun and say, "Hey, I remember that!".
Similar to how adults reminisce about The Flintstones, The Addams Family, and even some newer ones like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or The Cosby Show, the grown up pokemon addicts remember how they used to be pokefans back in the day. Even though some don't like to admit it.
If Pokemon runs until 2060 we'll have a lot of stories for our grandchildren.

That's so true!
I used to be obsessed with Pokemon like six/seven years ago. Me, my brother, two of our cousins, and a family friend all battled with our cards. Haha, and we all had binder fulls of cards. I feel so bad now spending money on those, lol. But wow, we used to get so excited opening a new packet and seeing what cards we'd get, or if we'd get a Holographic card or not. I forgot about that feeling...it's similar to reading/getting Harry Potter at midnight. however, buying the cards was much more often.
Anyways, it's kind of wierd to like Pokemon now. I mean, it's getting old. it's more for reminscing now.

Hehe, I remember Pokemon. I was really into Pokemon years and years ago. I had all the games and all the cards and I watched the show every afternoon when I came home from school. The original not the new ones they came out with later. My favorite Pokemon, which is really the only one I really remember now, was Pikachu. That little yellow thing was so cute! Piii-kaaa-chuuuuuuu!!! Haha, I crack myself up just thinking about it lol.
Oh yeah, and my binder full of cards is in my garage. I have no clue what do with them now, I don't even think I can get money for them....

I'm sorry, but I do not like Pokemon. My younger brothers love it and watch it all the time on tv and play in on their game boys. They talk about it all the time. I'm not at all interested.

I used to love Pokemon when they were just 150-15something, but I got bored when all these new Pokemons started to appear.
I was so obsessed! I could recite all 150 Pokemons in order, kind of

I watched the show every single day after school. I had this little Pokemon toys all over my bedroom, and I had Pokemon clothes, a gigantic stuffed Pikachu, a Pokemon Puzzle I would do and undo all the time!

I had a Nintendo 64 console, and I had Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, Pokemon Snap, and Pokemon Puzzle League. I knew all the Pokemon songs! Pokemon was really a big part of my childhood
But with time I stopped watching it. I got a bit annoyed of the new Pokemons and I started to like new things. I still watch Pokemon sometimes when I catch the old episodes showing

Oh wow! The memories by just reading the title of this topic. I still remember those days, I use to drive my parents crazy about buying me Pokemon cards. They spent alot of money on that. My cousins and I would trade cards amongst eachother. Always wanting the hollow graphic cards xD and then buying the games for Nintendo 64. I bought my cousin once for his birthday Pokemon Stadium and we would spent hours playing that. I use to have a little book where it held all my cards. I use to watch the show everyday and had this pokedex that I bought that showed me all the pokemons in it. I still have the Pokemon Sapphire. I have all the legendary pokemons in it(: I use to have a bathing suit of it, bookbag, the movie and soundtrack. In BK when they use to give a pokeball with "gold" cards inside. Collect all 8 which I did. Pokemon was real big for my cousins and me, but then all these new pokemons started appearing and I liked the old ones better. My favorite were the originals and the one with Mudkip & and that's all I can remember

good times, good times. I watch it once in awhile if its on. Although I sometimes don't recognize the pokemon : / that's ok I just sit back and reminese.

(Umm, should this be in this catagory? If so, I'm sorry...But yeah; I thought it would be in movies, tv, and video games? Anyway..)
I'm off and on. It's okay, I guess, but it's really not my thing. I watch the show sometimes, and my brother is bonkers over it. He'll randomly come to me and scream," ASH ASH!! I WANT ASH!" xP
I played the game on DS once, it was pretty fun. ^.^

I never liked Pokemon throughout my childhood/adolescence but now I have to confess I do! And I love playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on DS. For some reason, I guess it appeals to me more because you can be a Pokemon yourself, you know? It's interesting being a Pokemon. I ended up as a Bulbasaur...those things are cool!

Of course, now I'm stuck in the game trying to conquer the Sky Tower, but that's another story.

Well I'm not exactly a fan of the show because it's slightly childish but I do play some of the video games of pokemon so I do know quite a bit of it because in firered there are those characters (except your replacing Ash).

I dont play it or watch it or anything but I just thought this was pretty funny at my last camp which was an aquatic centered camp we named all the groups after water pokemon and I was one of the counselors for the group Squirtle. Also, last night at dinner my brothers were going on about how many more levels there pokemon could have had if they never read in High School...
