I heard that the next HP movie will be the most expensive movie ever made!!!!!!!! Can you imagine that???? They said it would cost about 300 millions!!!! They are also saying that "Mr Beans" is going to be Voldemort!!! ohmy.gif I seriously can't picture that. He really doesn't seem the type!!!!

Have you guys heard anything about the next movie???

NastyShort
Ugh, "Mr. Bean" is NOT Voldemort. Voldemort has already been confirmed. Ralph Fiennes is going to play Voldemort.

It's going to be the most expensive movie made? Excuse me? Where did you here THAT from? That's ridiculous. Lord of the Rings and Troy were probably the most expensive movies ever made. Even GoF cannot rival the expenses that were spent on those movies.
DanielleRiddle
huh.gif Are you always that cranky??? sad.gif

I got all this information from a really reliable web site!

Believe in what you want! But there is no need to be cranky about it. mad.gif

Those become old news already! dry.gif dry.gif

GOF is become most expensive budget movie! That's true!
But it would be very wasting money for making 2 hours and a half running time movie!

Ralph Finne is confirm for play Voldmort but haven't signed the contract!
NastyShort
And exactly HOW are they going to spend millions of dollars on GoF? What's so difficult about it other than the dragons and the Quidditch World Cup?

And as for me being cranky, I am always this cranky when someone earlier in the day does something stupid. (Not you, obviously)
DanielleRiddle
Its said in many sites!!!! Even here!!!!! Check it out if you don't think they are going to spend that much money NastyShot!

Go to Movie 4, More Information

Its on the last paragraph:

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is also set to become the most expensive movie ever, with a current budget of $308 million."

I had seem it in other sites. But I found this out today (that it was on veritaserum too)

Naz
i am soo happy that they are going to keep the 3 tasks in the movie, i was soo relieved... now i have to wait for the news that they just filmed the scene from the yule ball tongue.gif
HarryPotterFanatic
I can't wait till GOF!! it was my fav book and seeing it on the big screen will be AWESOME. i can see it being the most expensive movie b/c its gonna be really long and there are TONS OF SPECIAL EFFECTS!
NastyShort
REALLY long? TONS of special effects? I have to argue that. It's only going to be 2 and a half hours long (Unless they finally agree to lengthen it) and the whole darn movie is not some giant puzzle that hasn't been done before.

Lord of the Rings was longer and it took 7 years to get the whole project complete.

I'm finding this totally ridiculous. (I just found out that LOTR only cost $270 million *stamps foot in indignation*)

These are just RUMOURS anyway. Plus Ralph Fiennes has already been CONFIRMED the actor for Voldemort. So that one's checked off.

Okay, I'm thoroughly bamboozled now. HOW is it supposed to be the most expensive film ever made?

'Goblet of Fire' to be most expensive film ever made
Posted by GERI
Source: Sunday Mail via Wizard News

According to the next director in the Harry Potter franchise, Mike Newell, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be the most expensive movie ever made.

The film, which starts production in April, will cost an estimated £170 million ($308 million), reports the Sunday Mail. That's £5 million ($10 million) more than the entire Lord of the Rings series.

Newell commented that directing a Potter picture carried huge responsibilities:

"I think of myself as being really lucky. I'm going to make the most expensive film there has ever been. These things are not like ordinary films they are world events. I have millions of 10-year-olds who must not be disappointed. Making Harry Potter is like being President of Brazil. It is a colossal undertaking."

Newell also commented that finding an eight-foot-tall French woman to play Hagrid's love interest, Madame Maxime, has caused him a giant-sized headache.

"We are casting right now. I've been in Paris, looking for giant women and French schoolgirls."

This came from HPANA...I didn't really believe it either, and I'm not sure what the director is basing his information on... blink.gif

why would they not keep them
inessa0215
308m budget might spent on three task! Maybe plus yull ball, those dresses!
I'm afraid WB studio so urgent to make HP movies wouldn't get better quality!
Naz
i am glad that they are using soo much money for this movie!!
gleowine
I doubt that the director and producers are going spend that much money on a single film ...$308 million yee gads!! I think the director is just trying to give GOF more media attention not that I don't want it [GOF is my favorite HP book]... but that amount of money o.O.
doomed_renascence
blink.gif that's a lot of money...i even doubt that...
but it all depends on how many sources state that, and if the sources are reliable. making sure the sites has charts, diagrams, and all that junk. just like a science project...*shudders*
i agree with gleowine! i also think the director is only trying to give GoF more media attention!
starz
I didn't think that any actor had been confirmed as Voldemort, they are just rumours, I haven't read anything that officially says Ralph Fiennes is playing him only that it was a possibility.
Spanner
Just read a story at the Leaky Cauldron saying Miranda Richardson had been cast as Rita Skeeter. If this is true, I'd be extremely happy as...

1. It means the Rita subplot hasn't been cut; and...

2. I think Miranda Richardson would be brilliant in the role. She's one of my favourite actresses, and I've been saying she should be Rita for a while.

Hope it's true!!!
FIRENZE
Most expensive movie EVER made!! GOF is one episode of the HP series. This is really wierd, and makes no sense. It doesn't deserve to be. How much of this do you think goes to the stars and starlets? Ralph Fiennes has a Voldemortish complexion, but has beautiful soulful eyes. Not good casting, in my opinion. My mental picture of Voldemort is cloeser to a thinner, whitewashed Snape. He has that snakey quality. Much as I try, I cannot picture RF hissing out parsel tounge. Let us hope he is a good enough to pull it off. If Voldey comes across as this really nice, wronged gentleman (shudders)... I am going to throw up.

[QUOTE]You need to go to the JK Rowling Official site today. She has answered some things concerning in Book 6, Verrrrrry interesting! As far as the identity of the Half-Blood Prince, it's not Tom Riddle, but she says Harry discovers something in the Chamber of Secrets. Do you think he discovers Salizar Slytherine was indeed a Half-Blood?
Also she uses reasoning that was used by Hitler. I must study my history of the Nazi's and the elimation of the Jewish people.

Just a little something something:

So what are the odds of those 2 people being in a picture together unless they weren't both in the same movie (ie Goblet Of Fire!!)

Just something to think about if you don't believe it...

Re Miseria's post

.....or their recent movie Spider?

Please check out the rules here. One-liners are not allowed on the vtm forum, also there is no need to quote someones entire post, for this type of responce, next time simply reference it.

Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, although not yet officially confirmed, isn't just rumours. It's 98% chance that he'll be Voldemort.

And yes, Mahwish, GOF is set to be the most expensive movie ever made, with a budget of $308 million.
xvanilla-kissesx
Im glad there spending loads on the film! That means it will probably be really good, which it looks really good! I just cant wait for GoF! It looks SO good!! laugh.gif
HPsingingrl7
[COLOR=orange] oh ya i heard that too! it sed that the movie was going to be the most expesive......even more money than the three lord of the rings trilogy!! i cudent believe it cause i mean LOTR was a pretty big movie and this 4th movie is only one movie!

Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort... wonderful! cool.gif His look is so Voldemort-ish smile.gif It's only a pity that LV in The Goblet... doesn't look like a normal man, but he emerges from the cauldron looking black and awful... Look:

300 million dollars is alot of money!

I highly doubt that anybody would put 300 million dollars into a movie, even though JK Rowling is the richest womem in the world, not even she could afford that. Besides they did not spend that much money on the last three movies combined, and those three had some very famous directors.

If they do put 300 million dollars into the movie it should be longer than two and a half hours. How are they supposed to fit all that is in the GOF book in 2 1/2 hours? It doesnt make sense to me.

I heard on a website that this will Dan Radcliffs last HP movie! I was shocked to hear this, does anybody know if that is true?

Mountain_Rider_250, Daniel Radcliff is already confirmed for The Order of the Phoenix. I'm sure that Ralph Fiennes is also confirmed. Check it out in the Movie 5 section of this website. biggrin.gif Even though the rest of the main characters haven't officially signed on I heard that everyone plans on returning, except there is a question about the actor who plays Hagrid.
HP number one Fan
Nooooooo they cant change Robbie Coltrane! He is sooooooooo the best. Even JKR her self said there is no one better to play the part! I will for ever hate the films if Robbie goes..........ok so i might watch them but it wont be tha same withouth him sad.gif *crys into pillow*
MerMandy
It will be really hard to adjust to new actors after 4 movies have been made. I'm hoping Gary Oldman will once again be Sirius Black. Is there somewhere online that updates the list of actors who have signed on?
Poj7326
i dont think the movie will be as good as 1 or 2, 3 was horible and i think this 1 wil be cooler but wont follow the book as well as 1 and 2
pigwidigon
hiya Poj7326 and welcome to the VTM forums! this is actually a thread about Roumers that have been circulating around about the new HP movies that are to come not really a place to talk about how good/bad the movie will be..there is actually already a topics where you can discuss that and they can be found HERE
also there is a minor netspeak..1 should actually be one..and short posts are not allowed on VTM next time just elaborate a bit more wink.gif
There is a link to the rules in my siggy and if you have any questions feel free to PM me (also a link to that in my siggu) I will be happy to help you!

Don't you know anything about Tom Felton in 5th film? I heard something about he won't be there:-(
Blue Angie
You`ve got very old news ! GOF has already became the most expensive movie ever made, and Voldemort is played by Ralph Fiennes. I've heard those rumors about Mr. Bean to play Voldemort part, but that was about a year and 3 months ago (in Polish "Film" magazine there was a list of probable cast in GOF) ! And why you`re adding spoilers ? tongue.gif

I read somewhere, sorry i can't remember where or what it was, that Tom Felton stated that he will continue doing the movies for as long as they want him to do.
kool kat
Yep, I remember reading that too...in an interveiw or something......so it must be true. I donn't really have any rumors to share with ya'll so I'll be going now....
xsiriusootpx
I heard a movie in production has already stated that they will cost more than hp 4 so I thinks thats old news what you have to. It was something like spiderman 3 or something but I forget where I read
WonWoN..
No , I haven't hear anything about what you just said danielriddle But i also think that what you were saying is insane!!
It's not possible that Mr Bean becomes voldemort....in fact i cannot believe it !! biggrin.gif

Have you guys heard anything about the next movie???

I only know that they;re starting on february... that's all I heard and I heard that ages ago anyway... laugh.gif
Just the Droobles
Ok, this rumor is super crazy, and please don't yell at me or anything. But i was online the other day looking for stuff about OotP, and the site Wikipedia is under the impression that Jennifer Lopez (yes, her) will be playing Bellatrix Lestrange!! sad.gif I know that they are supposed to stick to an all British cast and casting her would just be terrible even if she was British. But wouldn't that be dreadful? Only talented actors are allowed to be in HP films wink.gif . There's also lots of rubbish about Elizabeth Hurley playing Bellatrix too, but that has already been tossed out by Warner Bros. themselves. I hope all the veteran actors return as well!
Pixymajik
I just read through the OOTP on there and I didn't read that??? It mentions in there about 'Helen McCrory' to play Bellatrix? (I don't know who that is, but she's listed as being in The Count of Monte Cristo)

It also has listed that Kelly MacDonald is rumoured for Tonks. I never thought of her, but from the few things I've seen her in, I think that she could do pretty well.

On a side note, there are quite a few links to Veritaserum in the OOTP page wink.gif
Just the Droobles
Well, maybe they've changed it since i was there. I'm glad if they did!! I don't know who Helen McCrory is either. I think I'm gonna have to go relook up cast lists. smile.gif I really want to see who will play Luna and all the young versions of the grown ups (like the marauders). Has anyone heard anything about any of these characters?
tuni
wow itz a good news for all hp fanz, that film was really good that requires 3oo million for another part cool.gif cool.gif cool.gif
gryffin_hauz_88
Helen McCrory was replaced by Helena Bonham Carter because she is pregnant. Helena Carter is Charlie's mother at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have to see that film again to see her if she's good for the role. =)
