Sirren, oh I love the name Seth! I think it's so nice. I actually knew a boy named Seth a few years back, but he's the only one I've ever met. It's a very nice name.

For a guy, I like the names Ober and RJ. Just RJ, it's not gonna be short for anything. Ober is a weird name, not one that I had heard before, but I read it in a book and just loved the way it sounded. So RJ Ober, yeah, that will probably be kid's first two names. Liam is a good name too. . .
For a girl, hmm, I like the names Estelle, Tia, and Gia. Hey maybe if I have twins, they can be named Tia and Gia. I also like the name Trisha and Vaness, yep, just Vaness.

Me and the girlfriend have agreed that, in the future, should we have a girl, 'twould be Olivia. For boys, we're not sure, however I like the idea of naming him after my father, xD. Jason, that is.

Okay, I've got like the longest name list ever, over 1oo names for both boys and girls, but some of my favourites are...
...Grima (male)
...Tinuviel (female)
...Psyke (female)
...Cancer (male)
...Eärendil (male)
...Wickedth (male, also my fathers name)
...Lumiera (female, my mothers name)
...Kaithe (male)
...Osiris (male)
...Aleikan (male)
...Xantippa (female)
That's just a taste of what my list holds, but as you probably guessed most names are pretty unusual.

Weaxzezz - Those are without a doubt the strangest names I've heard. They are awesome, and some I can't pronounce. Where are you from, for those are different names and it might have something to do with geography... I have heard of the name Grima though!! From Lord of the Rings...
I think I have posted in this thread, but I'll do so again
GirlsJocelyn
Audrey
Rebecca (after my cousin, RIP)
BoysIssac (can't figure how you spell it)
Luke
Kian (Kee-an, not "eye")
Those are what I can think of now... also either a daughter named Alexandria or a son named Alexander, not both though... probably a son named Alexander.

Aug 12 2009, 04:32 PM
Rebel_megz - I'm from sweden, but none of those names are swedish, I think. As you already know Grima is from LOTR, and so are Tinuviel and Eärendil, although they are the names of characters not appearing in the trilogy, only mentioned.
Psyke and Xantippa are ancient greek names, Psyke is the name of an ancient godess, and Xantippa I am not entierly sure, it might even be persian. Speaking of persian, Farishta is also a name I am thinking of using for a girl, it means angel (in persian).
Wickedth and Kaithe I am not so sure about where they come from, my fathers family seem to have a fascination with strange names (just look at mine, Weaxzezz, no one knows how to pronounce it><).
Lumiera means roughly "the one who shines" or "the one who glows", in what language I do not know, and I did not have time to ask my mother before she died (we have no contact with her relatives).
Osiris is an ancient egyptian god (and also the name of my cat).
Aleikan is from a book by David & Leigh Eddings called The Redemption of Althalus (a name which is also present on my list).
I hope I didn't bore you with all this, but (strange) names fascinate me. Probably something I got from my father:P

My future children's names:
Phoenix Apollo Xavier - His nickname would be Pax, like an acronym with all his initials!
Roman Elijah Xerxes - Nickname Rex.
Summer Siena Seraphina - I love S names!
Scarlett ? ? - I haven't really thought about middle names for Scarlett yet but I'd like Mary in there somewhere in honour of my grandmother.
I know they're a little out-there but I love them.

My husband and I have just decided to try and have a baby and we have had our names picked out for a ling time. It would be perfect if we had a girl and a boy. But life isn't perfect so we'll be happy which ever way it goes. Anyways...here are our two names.
For our girl... Lorelai Marie
Marie was my grandmothers name. There are only two girls in my family and we both have Maire as our middle name. So I thought it would sweet to keep that tradition.
For our boy... Leland Allen
Allen is my Grandfather's name. The greatest man I've ever had the pleasure to know! And yes Leland is off the show "Dog the Bounty Hunter".

When the time comes, I'm hoping I get a girl first because I've always seen myself with a daughter and son ! Here are my favorite girl names (with middle names)
Amelia "Mia" Bella
or just Mia Bella
Charlotte
There's no reason why I choose those names, I just fell in love with them when I heard them lol

(and no I didn't choose Bella because of twilight >.>)
for boys, i've never thought of any lol. but I really like strong masculine names like Adam and names like that

If i had a girl, i would love to name her Sophie - Scarlet or Scarlet-Spring (hahaha i guess i just love S's)

But if i had a boy, i'd like to name him Wayde - Wyatt or Wayde - Winter... (i guess i like W's for boys

)
p.s. i did the first and middle name thing

oh and my favorites out of the two are Sophie - Scarlet (for the girl) and Wayde - Winter (for the boy) YES i know that you probably think i'm horrible for wanting a boys middle name to be winter... but i think it's beautiful! and also.. that gives me the right to call him winnie

(short for winter) and i can call the girl scar

=D I LOVE nicknames

don't hate me for it

I don't have any children, but my friend who is about 9 years older than I am was telling me about his children. They (his wife and he) always call them by their middle names. I always wondered why they didn't just name them those names then.
They're having another child soon and he's naming him something akin to a last name like Jackson or Smith. He says if they have a fourth son he'd name it Bronco, which is hard for me to imagine since I have a dog named Bronco as well

My wife and I have decided definitively on the names for the first baby of each gender (assuming we have more than one). For a girl, it's going to be Esme Renee. Kels' middle name is Renee and we both LOVE the name Esme (we both took French classes where the name is prominent). If we have a boy, his name is going to be Nolan Lee. My middle name is Lee and Kels likes Nolan (I don't have an aversion to it).

^Esme Renee and Nolan Lee are gorgeous names! Good choices
I would never have children for several good reasons, but just for the fun of it:
Male:
♥ Gabriel (GAB-ree-el, like the arch angel. Not Gabe-ree-il).
♥ Raphael (Rahf-eye-el).
♥ Azrael.
♥ Sinbad
Female:
♥ Emmeline
♥ Esme
♥ Esther
♥ Rosalie
♥ Arabella
Ironically, most of them are biblical
