Mind if i join S.P.I.M.F? That is if there is room for one more. I thought the footprints were really awesome. Somedays I would sit in front of the computer for about 5 minutes just sitting and watching the footprints. I think that the pumpkins are really neat as well.

I can't tell you how incredibly chuffed I was when I saw that the muddy footprints *and Snuffles SQUEEE * were back!!

But to answer your question if you can see the footprints...as of right now if you are using mozilla Firefox you cant see them..well at least I cant see them..but if you can and you type snuffles paw prints will appear instead of feet...sometimes it takes a few times before they are visible..

Stupid question... I didn't type snuffels, still I don't get the footprints but... well... it looks like little apples. Is that the Halloween skin now, or do I need to have my eyes checked? Are those muddy pawprints? *lol*

just type *Snuffles* and pay attention sometimes the pawprints appear on the edge of your screen and you miss them. At first I kept staring at the muddy human footprints because I thought they would change but it wasn't like that. when you type *snuffles* a pair of paw prints appear (but the muddy prints stay). I think they always start walking at the top of the screen, but I'm not certain about that.

btw Flutters, no that was certainly the halloween stuff, there's a big difference between the paw prints and pumpkins ~lol~

To answer your question, the muddy footprints were taken away from the VTM pages at one time. Razzberry2 rallied all of the muddy footprint supporters and she created S.P.I.M.F (Society for the Protection of Ingenious Muddy Footprints ) and they were put back on! (Yeah!) With the footprints, you can type:

*snuffles*

and they turn into muddy doggy paw prints. It's quite ingenius really! We love them! For those of you who have not seen it, hit return, type it as I did with the asteriks and then hit return agian. However, please refrain from just typing "snuffles" in here. You may ask questions, post your thoughts and concerns and then...you can type snuffles.

The muddy footprints were one of the first things I noticed when I came to the site/forums. Personally I really like them and glad that people fought to get them back. These have to be some of the nicest looking forums I have seen and the footprints just add to it.

Yay! I know, it is great to have them back, and I think I said somewhere it was one of the things that attracted me to the site too. And snuffles? Hiya mate *waves* How can you not love that?

But, yeah, I think that the snuffles/pawprints thing is really ingenius! And they are quite cute. Are they supposed to go away after you type snuffles? Like if you wrote: "Snuffles is really cute." Are the pawprints supposed to go away once you start writing "is "?

Well, at the current time the club is inactive because we won our campaign to have the footprints return to VTM. Hopefully they will stay, that is our only worry, so for the time being some of us leave it in our sig so it remains an issue. If you want to, just put a note in your sig saying you support it's return too. The more the merrier!

Trying to get someone in trouble Agent? Yeah, actually I read that thread after I posted so I know what's going on now. I cant belive the footprints can cause that kind of trouble on some systems but not others? Mine isn't a very advanced set up and its never bothered me, and I run off Internet Explorer, so I dont know SOmeone need to come up with a coding where you can have the option to turn them off if you want. If anyone out there knows how to do it, please post it. There are so many of us that would be very greatful!

Man I thought we were victorious...so much so that i took it out my siggie! I guess There must be a good reason not to have them I run on Firefox so i didn't even notice they were gone

Oh well...does this mean we're starting up again or do we just have to accept defeat as they played havoc...

I'm not sure, for a few reasons.

• The admin have been working on the server, the footprints may have been cut because of the glitches.
• The admin maybe for the most part on holiday like alot us were.
• Razzberry2, our founder is on vacation.

So IMO, the best thing S.P.I.M.F. could do is wait for the New Year to stroll by to hopefully learn what happened.

I think it may be time to start banging on the drums of war, organizing sit ins, rattling sabers, or whatever it is we have to do to get our marauders released from their imprisonment.

I think it's completely understandable to turn them off for a day or two to diagnose problems or fix a thing or two on the site, but I think the long wait is over and it's time to start calling the membership again.

Are they toying with us? Are they trying to see how long we would sit quietly? Maybe they think they can just let them slip quietly away. "They've been off for weeks now," they'll say, "Why did you wait until now to complain? They obviously are not that important to you after all." They're important to me. I think they're important to this site--they're a visible reminder that VTM is different than other sites, and it's worthwhile to be here.

I know razz will help when she's back, but I can't help thinking that the longer we wait, the harder it will be to bring the footprints back.

I think it's high time we spoke again too. My brother is pretty sure he knows a code to make them optional and I've passed that on to Razz and she was going to pass it on to the Admins. I want them back too! The footprints are definitely one of my favorite things about this site as opposed to other sites. It makes it stand out.

PLEASE! PLEASE! Anything anyone can do! We want the Marauder's back!

A few weeks ago when the footprints first stopped (when was that...way back after Halloween?!), I wondered where they went. Was it my computer? Did the Admin shut them down? I immediately came to the S.P.I.M.F. thread to find that they were "experienceing problems" and "fixing it up." I hate to be rude, but how long does it take to fix?

I agree that by quitely taking the footprints off the site and leaving them off will make many people forget about them, as I admittedly did, so that when we rally up again like we did last time, they have an excuse against us. The Marauder Footprints made VTM unique. It gave it a special little touch that made it stand out from all other HP forums. Does VTM not want to stand out? I am wondering why they have not notified us on the matter in a while......

Let's just wait and see, huh? Meanwhile, the best we S.P.I.M.F.ers can do is ban together for another -- hmm..ummm -- attack?

I like the snuffles... and now they're gone.
Darren, I know a thing or two about webpages and programing. I know how annoying and hard it can be at times, but I also love the footprints.
Haven't you found out how to put them back on without them being such a problem??

You would be helping to raise VTM (The most stylish Harry Potter site known to many) to even greater heights, and you would forever have a special place here on VTM amongst our most passionate members. (I think a little grovelling is in order now as time is running out... )

Its obvious we still have plenty of support, so if you (like me) took the S.P.I.M.F. link out of your sig, have a think about putting it back in.
