Well, I was just thinking about the Black family tree, and I just thought that it was cute that, for one, Draco and Tonks are cousins, but that Draco and Ron are also related. If Sirius is related to Arthur, than there has to be relation to Draco and Ron. Now, what I want to know is if Ron or Draco know this. Will this be a factor in books 6 or 7? Or will more relations be discoverd concerning the Black family. The Black family tree is one of my favorite things in Harry Potter, it deals with just about all the characters.
Voldemort
Good point. I think it will come out in Book 7. I think Malfoy's, like the Black's, blood line is gonna be soon obsolete.
DancingVeela
I don't think they are related enough for it to matter much... IMHO
RASHDAN
they might come to know later Draco and Ron...about their relationship.
Voldemort
maybe, but I think it's irrelevant.
Half Blood Princess
Even though Ron and Draco are both related to Sirius, that doesn't mean they're related to each other. Draco could be related to Sirius on his Mom's side and Ron on his dad's side, or vice versa. Then they wouldn't be related at all. And even if they are it's so far removed that it doesn't matter. And it's not like either party would openly admit it anyway. They hate each other.
Voldemort
As I said. I think there beling related is irrelevant. Just still interesting.
Sonja Black
It would be a fun scene to imagine, them finding out that they are related. If anything, i think it would make them hate each other more
BellatrixBlack
Well, they do have some realation. But i'm not only talking about Draco and Ron, i'm talking about all the possible realtions with the Black Family tree. Its been said that there are not too many pureblood familys left. Was James from a pureblood family?
LupariusMurilegus
Well, they're all related by blood because there's a Black in every family. Also, they are probably aware that they're all related.
Voldemort
It said somebody that James had a muggle mother or father.
Harriet Hornbeam
I was under the impression that James was from a pureblood family...what is interesting though, is that there are NO Potters left. Anyway, I think that even though techinically Ron and Draco are related, there is no family bond between them, and it is too distant to really count. I mean, how many of us talk regularly to our second cousins, or great-uncle twice removed on our mother's side's daughter-in-law. I agree with Voldemort, it's just not relevant.
aparecium
Good point...but its not that important is it? The story can go on without this fact.
Voldemort
Which points RIGHT back to it being irrelevant. Who cares if Draco is probably Ron's step cousins, baby momma's step cousins best friends daddy's grandson.
Harriet Hornbeam
Nobody really...and least of all Draco and Ron. I mean, look at how their fathers function together!
Voldemort
LOL yeah they act like enemies as kids. Maybe Lucius will smoke Mr. Weasley. Then Ron will smoke Draco in revenge.
BellatrixBlack
Okay, no one cares about Draco and Ron being related. I was just wondering if they knew they had any relation. I still like that idea that the Malfoy's and the Weasley's are related. All cause of the Black family tree. There is also Molly's side of the family, i dunno, too many families to keep track of I guess.
hermy
It could be, but I don't think is important though.
LuciusMalfoy
Bella, will you get off the Black family kick you've been on since who knows when? It's kinda cool to think about but does it really matter? And even if they are related I'm sure the Malfoy's ignore it, kinda like how the Blacks ignored and shunned Sirius. It probably wouldn't be that big of a deal to them. So chill.

ps. You know I love you.
tashluvsdan
Haha, interesting thread this one. Well, in my opinion, maybe someone should do some kind of Wizard census [imagine that!]. It'll be interesting, knowing where the characters we all read about and love come from..their family backgrounds, what happened to this relative and that relative. Sorry it was just a random thought.. =)
aparecium
hey..you like butterbeer? i have the recipe..haha
aparecium
Im not joking.i really do..yes, yes..back to the topic...
tashluvsdan
Is there an importance as to who is related to who? Most likely, not. Then again, what if their being related has something to deal with upcoming events...think outside of the box for a second now. huh.gif
archangel
i dont think its really important to the plot....but i dont think ron or malfoy would be too happy about it, if they knew!
LuciusMalfoy
It probably doesn't matter at all if they are related, and it would be so distant it wouldn't even matter.
Harriet Hornbeam
Yeah, there's far more to being family than sharing blood.
