I think Harry would win in a fight because he is better than Draco in DADA. Who do you think would win?

Hmm, easy choice for more fans. Draco-lovers v. Harry-lovers. Still, depends on if Draco cheats or not *lol*

i'll probably go for harry! coz' as what you've said, it all depends on the fans! and i'm a harry potter lover! i agree that harry will win coz' he really got good grades in dada! most probably he'll win a duel! he got a lot of experience!

Harry of course, not just because Good conquers evil but because bravery always conquers over cowards. Draco has shown quite often that he is a coward and a "CRY BABY" (sorry couldn't help myself). Plus, Harry only lost once in the past and it wasn;t a duel, it was Harry not realizing that Draco knew he was there. Draco is too hesitant, weak and feeble to win. Without his goons and Daddy he is nothing but a pretty face.

Definately Harry! He's way better than Draco in DADA and at almost everything else. Without Crabbe and Goyle around Draco can't do anything. All he is is talk and no action. Harry would win for sure!!!!

Harry of course. Draco has never really fully been in a duel with anyone. All he does is push kids around. Harry, on the other hand, has dueled with various Death Eaters, and Voldemort himself. As said, he has tons of experience from this. He was also in the Triwizard tornument, and having to go in a maze, overcoming obsticles.

Hmm I dunno, this is tough, they even each other out, Draco is excellent in Dark Arts, Harry is excellent in DADA..its like equal power to good vs evil. Wow, if draco beats harry i wonder what the odds against Voldemort would be.

i think that harry may win, but has anyone else noticed that he wins a lot of fights out of luck? like in the second book when he was going to be killed by that freak snake thing, the pheonix helped him. it was just luck that he's still alive today, but i do think that he would win against draco because he's got so much more experience battling the dark arts and draco hasn't. Plus harry has the adrenaline to win because he's been in a life or death duel loads of times.

If Harry can come out alive in a duel with Voldmort i think he can actually win in a duel against Malfoy.

it's the way it goes the good allways overwin the bad (not allways so nice)

I think it's clear from all the evidence in the books that Harry is the better student. True, Draco knows a lot more darker spells but if it came down to it I think Harry would win. Even if it sounds cliché, you have to put your faith in good

I think that Harry would definitely win in the end. Draco could porbably getb a few good shots in there before Harry took him out though. Harry has the heart in it in the end whereas Draco a lot of the times seems fixated on the glory part of it. Heart trumps ego.

This would be a nice duel. As we saw on the bathroom seen they were really hittin it off. Draco knows a lot of spells but Harry has reflexes, speed, and a lot of strong spells. Look what he did with the Sectumsempra

definetely harry, because hey, he's the hero of the books after all, and even though i think draco would put up a good fight, he's still a sniveling little wimp in the end

Harry is better than Malfoy in nearly every subject, plus Malfoy is a coward, and he is very scared of Harry because he knows what Harry has done and can do, so obviously Harry would win.

Harry would definitely win cos (no offense Draco fans) Draco seems like a coward, you know? He's rich and all but not very talented at DADA.

Well since Harry is the protagonist of the story and Draco one of the anatgonist it seems likely that Harry would be favored against him. However there is much more solid evidence. Harry proved in all his encounters and in DA and in the Triwizard tournament that he is a very accomplished wizard for hia age in DADA. What skill he lacks in Potions and Divination

he makes up for in DADA. This is obvious and important since his most important encounter will be against the greatest Dark wizard ever. Draco may have the Dark bloodline, but as Hermione proves that doesn't mean to much. Anyway go Harry.

I voted for Harry. In book five, Draco's about to curse Harry, but Harry is able to whip his wand out faster than Malfoy could respond. Only Snape's appearance stopped something from happening here. I think Draco's talented, no doubt, but I think Potter could soundly beat him at a fair duel.

Yeah. And Harry was in the DA so he knows a lot more about curses/spells than Draco.
Harry also had the HBP potions book.

As all of you, i also think Harry would win. He is a lot more prepared in DADA that Draco and HELLO!! How can The Chosen One, The Boy Who Scored and all that stuff be defeated by that little ferret??? Duh!!!!!
Velvet
May 13 2006, 02:23 PM
Based on skill, and DADA ability and general 'chosen one' ness then I would say Harry
but I still don't think that Harry has the ruthlesness of Draco, where draco would try to win by any means - I don't think that even after the DD death (because it does mention that harry felt sorry for Draco and noticed his wand dropping) that Harry would be able to enjoy making Draco suffer, and Draco seems more desperate - but Harry does have more skill and would probably win more by stopping/stunning draco than actually hurting him. So Harry to win then

i think harry would win in a duel agianst draco.

harry is way better than draco in DADA. also harry took DA in his fifth year so he has learned more than draco has.

Are you all joking?? how could you pick HARRY over Draco?!?! Draco knows how to use unforgivable spells, unlike harry who fruitlessly tried in the Hall outside of the Department of Mysteries. Also, Draco can perform Occlumency, like Snape, but if you learn Occlumency does that mean that you can also perform Legilmency? I dont think so, but maybe thats true, only because of Snape. Finally, his aunt is Bellatrix Lestrange, who was apperantly taught the Dark Arts from Voldemort himself, so maybe he knows some pretty Dark magic, like the whip spell that snape used on Harry, and a death Eater used on Hermione in the Department of Mysteries.

Okay Harry would win by a longshot! Duh....
He has WAY more experience at duling..
He knows a ton more spells..
And he has much more courage than Draco
So Harry would win know doubt

Draco is all talk and no action. He doesn't know as much as magic as Harry does, and Harry is much more talented. Harry and Draco will most likely duel [one] last time in the 7th book. After that, they will be on the same side or Draco will be captured.

Definetly Harry. He's already gone up against Voldemort which I don't think Malfoy could exactly pull off. Malfoy is all about the talk, he always gets girly after he gets scared.

Harry has already won a duel against him. the one in the bath room. Harry is just better, I mean he dueled Voldemort and managed to not get killed, so I'd say he is better.

harry would kill Draco ( As we almost saw in the 6th book when in the girls bathroom when draco was crying and then COVERED in blood) but yes Harry would Defeat Draco any day draco is a talking not a fighter. And draco hardly listens in classes so his head is filled with saw dust and harry listens and takes notes in classes and there for Harry is Smarter then Draco. as we all know draco is the one to say "my father will hear about this" well sorry Draco your father is not here to protest you any more. He is sitting in a cell growing mad every day with Dementors every where he looks.

I have a feeling that it would be Harry. He has more courage then all three of the Malfoy's combined. He's dueled Lord Voldemort. He could simply take on Draco. We witnessed this in HBP. Malfoy is full ofsomthing but its definaley not knoweldge.

I've aways thought that Harry and Malfoy are similarly talented when it comes to magic - neither seems particluarly outstanding. But Harry has more courage and experiance when it comes to big duals - so i'd go for him.

i chose harry of course because hes so brave and cunning he could kick malfoy's butt!! but the only way i can see malfoy beating harry is that he actually has enough hatred in him to perform an unforgivable curse which is bad news for harry

Im sad to say that Harry will win this one. I mean its obvious, we already sa it in the movie. Harry's more experience and Draco is well not.

I think Draco would win because he is more likely to use harmful spells than Harry. I know lots of people have said that Harry's better at DADA but he wouldn't always know what was coming... and I can't imagine Harry using something harmful, even on Draco (that Sectumsempra thing didn't really count).

I think Harry would.
First of all, Harry has proved himself to be much better at defensive spells
and learning to deal with pain.
Draco seems to be weaker, as you can see he has never dueled against Voldemort.
Harry has dueled Voldemort several times and I'm very sure that is much harder to duel Voldemort than Draco.

like in chamber of secrets (i think) where snape makes Harry & Draco duel..Harry basically whooped Draco. LOL. so yee..

Well looking at it logically I suppose it would have to Harry. He has had much more practice than Draco, not only in the classroom but in general too. Draco seems to be a sniffling snob, hiding behind his father's influence and his bully friends. Whereas Harry has had to learn the hard way

I voted for Harry, just because I think Draco would give up before Harry, Harry would have a better drive than revenge or anger, which would be Draco's drive, don't you think?

If it was a fair duel Harry would win hands down
But we all know how sneaky Draco is so there would probably be some amount of cheating going on.
Harry would need to have his wits about him

Ill stick with Harry on this one. Draco is very accomplished, yes, probably one of the top in his year, but he has got NOTHING on Harry, let alone Hermione and even Ron. Harry has experience, friends who have helped him practice and given him advice, and he has got the nerve and discipline.
