Actually, my favorite Snape scene is from OOTP when he is teaching Harry how to close his mind

I voted for Snape shouting at Harry and Ron. It was definately my favourite in that list although I would have had Snape and his line 'obviously' in there, especially the scene in OotP where that is acted out excellently. Also, I would have had Snape's memories in DH in there too.

My favorite is the scene where he is substituting in Lupin's class, and he teaches them about werewolves. I don't know why but I have always really enjoyed that part.

The duelling club with Lockhart! He made Lockhart look so stupid, etc etc and I think everyone should've applauded because it was brilliant. I like in GoF when he wacks the book on Ron and Harry's head.

Shielding Harry, Ron, and Hermione shows more of his other side than most of the other scenes. Other than that, I love when the Marauder's Map makes fun of him.

I guess I have to agree with most people on here. Snape and lockhart in the dueling club is my favorite snape scene. It's just a great scene because it pretty much just sums up snapes character in one scene. It's great

My favorite scene wasn't mentioned in the poll but i would want to discuss it anyways. It was in GoF when Ron was trying to ask Hermione to the Yule Ball and the trio kept on talking. Snape got really annoyed so he rolled up his sleeves and pushed their heads down

Snape encountering Lockhart at the duelling club is one of my favorite Snape scenes, but then again I have to mention that
every single Snape scene is a favorite of mine, since I adore Alan Rickman playing the Potions Master... Since I was reading the first Harry Potter book ever, I have always imagined Mr. Rickman as Snape and there you have it - he is indeed brilliant playing him.
Also, I love the SS scene at the Quiditch match while Harry was playing and Snape was whispering the countercurse.

I have only two scenes among the options provided that I think really stick out as Snape's best scenes in the first three Harry Potter movies. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret's the Dueling Club. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when he shields the trio.

Having seen HBP I have to say that my new favourite Severus scene is the one at Slughorn's party where McClaggen throws up on Snape's shoes and Snape says McClaggen will pay for that. The look on McClaggen's face, well he deserved after the whole quidditch business. Three cheers for Snape!

None of those scenes in the poll do Snape the complete justice that is portrayed in the films. I know that this topic was opened in 2005 before all of the other movies but one of my favorite Snape scenes comes from the very first film. It is our introduction to Potions and Severus is describing how to "bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses." And then he picks on Harry. It was at that moment I really fell hard for the vindictive, evil, Professor Snape.
I was actually hoping to have a replay of that moment when he finally got the Defense Against the Dark Arts position in HBP but sadly they didn't include that in the film. I think I may have swooned listening to Alan Rickman describe the "ever changing" Dark Arts with that loving caress in his voice that Harry described.

I'm thinking between the one with Lockhart and the one where he was shielding the kids. I like them both, but in a different way. The first one is amusing, it shows the funny, sarcastic and intelligent Snape, while the second one reveals his protective side and it is more emotional. I think I'll go with the last one.
