I'm thrilled to announce that Veritaserum will be on the red carpet at the London and New York premieres of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on November 6 and 12! I'll be at both, Aris will be at the New York premiere, and Darren will be at the London one.

Pretty much everyone who has anything to do with the Harry Potter movies will be at one or the other, including JK Rowling, so... what questions would you all like us to ask?

Awesome! Wow, VTM's been getting involved in all these big functions lately! How do you keep up with your schoolwork and your various appearances in London simultaneously, Matt?

So. Are you allowed to ask JKR any questions pertaining to the books, or are things related to the movies considered more appropriate in the situation? Most of the stuff that I want out of her has to do with some, er, elements (*cough*lamedepictionsofteenageromance*cough*) of HBP. If you do get a chance to talk to her, though, one thing that I'm really curious to know (aside from why VTM hasn't gotten a fan site award yet... geez, I've got a lot of gripes with my lovely genius favorite author in the world at the moment ) is whether she might give you some in-advance predictions for cuts in the OotP and/or HBP movies. Then we could see whether she and the screenwriters are in true agreement about the least important parts of the plot. I guess that isn't really GoF-related, either. But still.

I'll keep thinking on it and come back with more ideas. My most brilliant thoughts always come to me while I'm asleep. At any rate, watch this space.

If you get the chance to talk to JKR, I'd love to know how long she plans on making us wait for the 7th book, and whether the 7/7/07 rumours are true

But I think considering she should KNOW what's happening, so it shouldn't take as long to write. Considering between the 5th and 6th books there was 25 months in release date, it shouldn't TAKE THAT LONG!!!!

Hmm, I ve been thinking a bit about this and I was wondering if Dan has ever thought about writing songs? Because I know he likes to write, and he plays base guitar, so I just sort of figured that maybe he's had a go at writing a song or two.

If its Emma, if she thinks clothes are so important (which she has been quoted as saying) what that means to people who have to go without food some days. Oh, the innocence of youth (okay, that might sound a bit catty, but I've just been listening to Ben Harper)

Rupert, he's just so shy its hard to get a coherant sentence out of the guy, so it'll have to be something to the point. I'll have to think on his question a bit longer, he seems like a really nice guy, so I'll have to come up with something good.

Well, as for questions, I would assume to keep them within the realm of the movies. Just because anyone, other than Jo, really has no input once so ever. So...here are my random questions:

1.) What scenes in OotP or HBP are you looking forward to doing the most? Assuming you have read the books of course.

2.) (This one is for anyone of the trio) Are you at all concerned about the fate of your character in the series? How would you feel if you had to say goodbye to your character or one close to you, primarily before the end?

3.) (This is for Alan Rickman only) You are an accomplished actor, but you shy away from the spotlight outside of your immediate work. Harry Potter is such a huge phenomenon, as it progresses, it will only bring you more into the spotlight. With your character stepping into the spotlight more as well, will you make yourself more available for interviews as the hype around Severus Snape increases?

4.) (This is for any writer/director/producer of present or future HP movies) Many fans have expressed a strong desire for Peeves, the poltergeist, to make an appearance in the movies. Is there a way to bring him in now, after so much time has gone by?

5.) (This is for JK Rowling only) Have you at anytime, read and responded to any fanfics out there? Under an assumed name of course!

2. To writers/director/producer- Have you ever thought that in order to emulate the sucess of the books, of putting a public based poll, forum or website, in order to understand what the consumer wants in the movie, feels fine about cutting and also what feels correct in relation to the books?

In Goblet of Fire, (the scene in the great hall when Fred asks Angelina to the ball), Professor Snape seems to be getting pretty violent with Ron and Harry, hitting them in the back of their heads with his book and shoving Rons face to his paper...it looked like you were having a lot of fun filming that, like you were supressing laughter and trying to hide that from the camera. Was that the case? Was that scene with Alan Rickman as fun (and as painful) as it looks?
