I want to join in on this discussion as i have too seen the photos from both NYC POA premiere and LONDON POA and i have to admit the pictures speak for themselves If there isn't anything going on with Emma and Dan then they are really, really too friendly!

I have read from various sites including HPNA who have a Bravo interview although it is roughly translated which makes out that before Dan always denied having a girlfriend explaining that he was "too young to have one." Then whenever the rap-up of POA he then changed his mind and stated that and i quote "it's a private matter"

mmmmm seems to me that when you take into account all the piccies floating around cyberspace of the party in NYC when they were snapped holding hands and dancing, then snapped holding hands as they look as if they are talking to someone at the party.

Then of course LONDON where i am sorry the camera never lies, little tell tale signs like looking into each others eyes when they are speaking and again holding hands.......you got to be blind not to notice there is more then friendship going on and well done!

yeah, the piccs speak for themselves:D and I read an interview with emma, too. they were asking her how her love life was, and she said she was in love, with someone who works at harry potter! And about the same time, dan says 'its private' I mean, this is very obvious..
And then, the australian dvd!! Alfonso said people were passing notes, Emma admits they were, Dan denies everyhting. When they say too emma that dan denied everything, she just said: oh.. that safe..
I mean how obvious could they make it?!
My theory was that if somethin' was going on between Em and Tom they would've asked Em and Tom. but they asked Dan and Em. sooo

hehehe havent seen the aussie one, i am a brit at heart so when only see and get the UK version LOL.

Like i was saying and i am glad i am not the only one to see it. I became a bit obsessed when i saw the first pic of them on the red carpet and trailed all the Emma sites and Dan sites including Danradcliffe.com and even in there - tho and behold the hand-holding pic was in there. You would think that as it is a site Dan is exclusively attached too that he would ask for those type of pictures not to be posted - if there was no truth in the rumours - no! well there ya go it speaks volumes.

I think it is both lovely and sweet if they are a couple, they have grown up soo much and as we all know being a teenager sometimes can be hell, but sometimes can make you look up and pay attention to someone you really like.

Tom and Emma? - nah again pics speak for themselves, he likes her sure but there is just no chemistry in the pose.

Rupert and Emma? - ahhh darling Rubert he is such a nice guy and very very friendly. But to have a thing with Emma - no sadly i don't see it. Look at there New York photos for the Times, nice and Emma of course as lovely as ever - but again there was just no chemistry between them.

P.S. isn't it funny that whenever Dan, Emma and Rupert are around, arms around each other but more so Dan and Emma? again on my theory there is more to this than meets the eye but always arms around each other - except for the dvd launch but i personally think that was because it was freeeeeezzzzzziiinnngggg outside.

If there is a romance between them, then i say good luck and i hope that all the publicity and hype doesn't make your life tooo difficult i am all for them being together i think they make a lovely couple

I believe that the only relationship that there is with the HP teens is between Dan and Emma. I know what Tom said on his website but there is nothing between them whatsoever. tom had said that they were not going out and i believe him. the thing about the pictures of them holding hands at premiers i found another site that discusses tht issue and everyone there believs it is what they were told to do. They think this because in all of the pictures they are holding hands with a different person. if they were dating they would only hold hands with their bf/gf.

You know guys, I'm pretty sure that Tom already has a girlfriend. When he was on 'Ministry of Mayhem' over here plugging PoA, someone asked him if he fancied any of the ladies on set and he said no because he didn't think his girlfriend would like it very much....

Now, his current status would therefore depend on whether the interviews on the DVD were before or after that show....I'd say after, judging by the length of Dan's hair. Those interviews must have been recorded when the film wrapped...if they were done more recently, then Dan's hair would have been longer...which means that Tom's interview must have been ages ago too when he made those comments about not being able to get a girlfriend.......

Ergo, it's pretty likely that he's seeing someone. Lucky girl.... I'll try not to rip her hair out....

Tom is, what, two years older than Emma, I doubt he'd ever be interested. Well not till he was about 18/19 (but thats another topic). R

eguarding denile in public, Dan denied anything to do with Emma (a young lad would do), but she didn't denie anything, in fact she looked almost upset when told that Dan had said nothing had happened.

I think he doesn't want the press to know. It could break their relationship you know.. Emma on the other hand doesn't seem to have a problem with the press..
But dan does admit he cares very much about her, and he said he's always concerned about her.. is that how a 'friend' behaves?

Yep i totally agree, like i said before Dan is the type of lad who probably likes keeping his personal life to himself. They (as all the stars from the HP movies) are constantly in the spotlight and being so young they tend to attract a lot of attention!!

Hey they are 15 and 14 respectively if Dan denies it maybe it is to protect Emma from the publicity and allow her a certain bit pf freedom from the press. Yep i do think she is besotted and hey gurls who wouldnt be having a guy as nice as him be your friend.

I have read and watched various reports, ppl saying no they are not they are just friends and they themselves saying no no no, nothing like that is happening and although that would make you believe well there you have it nothing is going on. Let me give you something to ponder??

Study their body language (and no dirty thoughts - no smut allowed!!)

Your body can tell you a lot about yourself, how other people see your reactions.

For instance!

Daniel: when he is in the company of Emma, he tends to act a bit nervous, clasping and un-clasping his hands (they have been doing these interviews for what almost 4 years - they are used to being infront of the camera!) he always turns towards her with hand gestures - touching her arm leaning forward when she speaks and ALWAYS watching her as she speaks. He gets very nervous when asked about girls around her - blushing when trying to explain how it is cool he is being noticed that way (Particulary the 'towel girl' incident in NYC i thought that was sooo funny)

The premieres!
MMMMMM now this is the most fun bit - well you see Dan chatting away to everyone in group shots but when both Emma and Rupert are with him he tends to lean in more towards Emma - always his arm around her back or on her shoulder. In NYC her dress altough absolutely lovely and she suited it well, it was bare shouldered (fitting for the humidity) in at least 5 pictures his hand is on her shoulder that is closeness in itself it shows in body language experts a sense of 'this is mine' (but not to be shot in the foot - if a photographer has asked them to pose that way - then i guess they have to follow the direction of the photographer. But they don't always have protocol over how a person poses and even then a lot of the shots have them standing that way along with everyone else why didn't Rupert get asked to do the same to make it more symetric - the plot gets thicker and thicker)

Then there is the pictures of them together, a lot of messing around sure they are teenagers and Dan is notorious along with Rupert for messing around. But there are photos of them looking at each other snd you cannot escape the message that comes across when eyes meet a lot can be said with just a look. The London premiere i have heard was fixed for them to hold hands - please may i ask why?? why would they be made to deliberatley hold hands if there was nothing going on!!?? that just sounds ridiculous and silly. Dan seems to be a very honest, very well presented and intellegent young man, and i don't think he would do anything to string his fans along by pulling such a stunt. His eyes speak voiumes, his body language speaks attraction and holding her hand only proved that - if there isn't something going on now - then there is an underlying current of attraction between them and they both know it!

When asked is there any romance going on betweent the cast, is there a girlfirend at the moment, he blushes - that is either i sign he is totally embarrased which i don't necessarily think that is the case, i don't think he embarrases that easily or he shouldn't be in the business or there is something else going on he is trying to hide - your eyes are the windows to your soul!

NOW on the Emma: When she is in the company of Daniel she is almost like a giggling 'i have a crush' type of girl. When interviewed with him she often finishes his sentences and he vice versa. Constant eye contact when speaking of each other in the roles they play. Flicking her hair around is a very feminine trait. It is a sign of attraction, to flick your hair is a gesture of getting the other persons attention - like a mane on a lion uses it to let the lionesses know he is the alpha male, a girl will use her hair in much the same way to draw attention from a male suitor.

She sits herself leaning back in some ways to get a better view of him as he speaks, often laughing into her hands when he is asked something she knows because she was there or she can remember something he is not telling. In various interviews they both do - they often refer to each other before including Rupert it is also a sign of significance that they are aware of each other over everyone else (at the end of the day, Emma isn't the only female in the whole HP cast, but she is the one he works with the most)

The premieres:

mmm yet again the pictures the film footage, the interviews all conducted with the eyes of the world on them. But in a lot of instances, she only had eyes for Daniel. Her touching gestures of grabbing at him as they joked in the foyer of the theatre, someone who is comfortable in herself - she is changing from teenager into young woman and with that she is gaining more comfidence within herself. We have all seen the pictures of the aftershow party in NYC and whether ppl want to argue what's wrong with dancing with a boy (hey nothing we have all been there done it bought the tee-shirt and drank the coffee, but to hold hands with him mmm that usually indicates an attraction, aquainted or otherwise! even turning to someone on the dancefloor where their backs are away from the snapper - Daniel has his hand firmly supporting Emma's - that is an indication of not letting someone out of your sight.

In London like my pov with Daniel she was sooo lovely i think she made a lot of heads turn with that stunning dress making her yet again trying to look mature now, Again gestures with looks and smiles, chatting to each other intimately, in one occasion yea they where meant to be facing forward for the press but speaking, tilting her head to the side as she spoke, Daniel breaking eye contact with the flashing bulbs to turn and smile at her. Holding hands, notice how Daniels hand envelops Emma (i.e. his is infront of hers) that tells who took whose hand first. The front facing hand is Daniels and Emma's fingers are interlocked with his - he took her hand and she linked her fingers in his.

Like i said above i don't think it is posed why link hands with Daniel and not Rupert, he is her friend also, even in the photos of all three of them together she has her arm around Dan and Rupert but only Dan has his arm around her - Rupert does not!

Concluding: whether you want to read into it too much or not, it is none of our businees whether they are or not. But the camera never lies and neither does attraction so i guess we will all have to wait and see if it is true or just a rumour!

seveteen year old guys really don't have a thing for 14 and a half lol year old girls. He has said he likes her, of course he does he works with Emma and has respect for her and her acting, but and he has also mentioned this on both his site and discussed on various other boards that his 'GIRLFRIEND' would be a little annoyed if she found out that fans thought he was going on with Emma.

NOOOWW that is a big indication that he is not sweet on Emma but the complete opposite. And to have his hands behind his back or in his pockets (back to the body language here again folks) It is a gentlemanly thing to do he isn't arkward around her but the opposite he is giving her, her own personal space and also an indication of hands off i am with someone else. Men feel comfortable having their hands in their pockets feel safe when they are not hanging at their sides like two limp eels! haha

As for the rumour mill - hey we didnt start it pictures speak for themselves and if Daniel hadn't want to bring attention to himself he wouldnt have been so candid infront of the camera would he?

He was holding Emma's hand because he wanted too and he looked and felt comfrortable doing it.

Two years difference at seventeen is a million miles. Who knows how far for a fifteen year old. Sure he may like her as a young friend/school mate, but you can't be serious that he may find her attractive.

I don't think that Tom and Emma are going out. I know that Tom has a thing for Emma, but going out, no. He said that they were not going out at his official website. Also i read an interview wiht Emma at a website that i am currently not remembering but she had said that she would never go out/ date any of the cast members because they were like brothers to her.

Why do people want actors to go out with each other from the films? Its like when one actor plays a part in a film gets to know the actors they are working with and then the next thing you know everyone things there an item. But you never know do you? (though im guessing they aren't *please note the work GUESSING)

Many people fail to see the film as an alternate world. They want to see what happens in the film to continue in the real world. Especially if it includes an ideal romantic pair or heroic deeds. In certain countries, an actor/actress portraying a hero/heroine or a mythical god/goddess will be worshipped lifelong. He/she can easily win a political election, because people believe he/she must be the reincarnation of the character in order to be able to portray the character convincingly. I know a certain actress who played a character who tried to break the relationship of the two beloved main characters in a TV soap opera, got many nasty posts, including death-threats.
We have to appreciate the good acting and good filmmaking to produce such an amazing effect.
That's why I feel a thread like this, between Tom and Emma, is better than Dan-Emma or Rupert-Emma, because it may not directly parallel to the storyline (as Jo shot down Draco-Hermione pairing).
Still for the actors themselves, having the same life-partner in real and alternate worlds may not be easy. Look at the divorce rates in Hollywood. It's not impossible, but it's rare. Only a handful pair can survive very long. Usually by hiding behind the screen.
I think having permanent spouses early on may kill the career, as it will limit the options for the next film offers. The pressure is high to separate reality from acting. Also the schedule and separation due to filming location are not easy to cope. We can only wish our beloved actors will finish the seven films amicably and they can wisely find their true happiness.
Now for Tom and Emma, if they really have a go to each other, is also not very easy. They may want to keep the relationship secret until influence of the seventh film (or until they quit beforehand) diminishes, otherwise some loyal fans of each of them may turn into nasty enemies.

ok...i definately do not deny that i kind of see a "thing" between the two of them....i did see that pic of them two at the Shrek premiere.....but come on....he'll be 18 this year....she turns 15 next week. isn't 18 dating a 15 year old potentially illegal?? dont hate me if i'm wrong!!! hehe

Tom's already got a girlfriend, so therefore it wouldn't make sense for him to go out with Emma as well...

Just to let you all know...this topic has been re-opened and merged with the Tom/Emma and Dan/Emma threads so that all discussions on real-life couples can be kept in one place. As you can probably tell from some of the posts here, the conversations very often used to cross anyway and it's clear that people would rather discuss the relationships altogether rather than considering each one separately.

Anywho...this merging will probably be happening a lot around the forum as we start the pre-HBP cleanup, so it's a good idea to use the search facilities to find topics if you find that one you regularly post in seems to have disappeared or been changed.
