I don't know if anybody has said but on the special features of Harry Potter and the GOF DVD. It tells you how they made and cast Voldermort. It is really intresting some of there early drawings of Voldermort where far from what i thought he looked like. But i think they got it just right in the end.

The way he looked was fine, but the way the actor played him wasn't much so. I just expected more of a scarier performance, but it wasn't. It was just weird. Maybe for the younger veiwers or those who haven't read the books, the character was okay, but it needed to be more evil twisted.gif . Maybe I'm being too picky, but I didn't like it.
the only one he'll ever want
I don't know, I thought the whole experience was frightening enough.
Keep in mind that they're going to have to limit the violence/evil to some degree so they can keep the age ratings down.. if suddenly you had to be seventeen to get into the cinema, wouldn't they lose a lot of business?

Considering their constraints, I thought that Voldemort was done relatively well... I liked the encounter in the CoS better, although that might just have been because Tom Riddle had a face... thumbsup.gif

well, when I first saw him...I was like "did he get plastic surgeury or something"...too tell you the truth, he really wasn't what I expected...I really wanted a bit more harshness & blood-shot look to his appearance...but over-rall not a bad job.

I think they did a good job on him, but I do see what the rest of you mean by how he could be better, yes. I thought he could have looked a bit more of what he was, they could have just done it a bit more, but I loved the job they did and think it was done really well!

oh my goodness. lord voldemort looked sooo sooo sooo scary. my friends and i were talking about it the other day. *chuckles* he waas so pale, and me being tan is scary. haha. and then he didn't really look like i imagined. i mean i think he was to have red eyes or something? he looked reall creepy, but not as i pictured. it was weird.

In the 4th movie Voldemort was rubbish. He couldn't stand still for long than two secons and was more funny than scary. The bit were he yells while touching harrys scar had me in hysterics! What was the director thinking. When he greets the deatheaters he shouldn't run around like some loney ripping their masks off. I think he should just stare at each one of them in turn, and then they should recoil in fear. And what is it with his eyes? Their blue! He had red eyes! Lord Voldemort has to have red eyes otherwise he is not lord Voldemort! The director ruinned him. The biggest charcater in the film and he abslutely ruined him

I thought that Ralph was an excellent actor playing Voldy. If I were the director, I would have done it differently, but I think it worked really well the way it was at least.

As for the eyes, there are a lot of things about eyes in HP. While it is a fault that Voldy has red eyes, here is what I think is much worse and a lot more annoying. It's a little off topic, but I think Voldy's eyes are minor to this... It's an excellent observation, though.

And actually, Harry is the biggest character in the film really, but I get your frustration. I think that Voldy was really good, but I do admit that there were a lot of little things needed to make him better.

I do believe that Ralph does a great job of protraying the evil character of LV in the film, do not get me wrong, but I believe that his make-up/ costuming team for him needs a little work. I believe that played up the wrong feautres for him. The nose first off. I know that the book talks about the snake-like nose with slits for nostrils, but this nose is a little over dramatic. With the nose, his face looks almost too deformed to even be a person. The nose should be toned down. On the other hand, I believe that the eyes should be a bright, heart-wrenching scarlet red. The books before and after this one describes his eyes as his most terrifying feautre and his eyes play a pretty big role in book six with the younger tom riddle. On a more positive note, Ralph is a very skilled actor.

yeah i agree i love ralph and i thought the way he was all slow and jittery was cool i mean the man/monster just got his new body ,come on he would have to get used to it ,and i also loved the calmness and softness in hgis voice that to me is more frightning than a loud overacted british villan.but the eyes did disapoint me but i just used my own imagainaton. ohmy.gif

In my opinion the whole film in general was a big dissapointment.

Ralph Fiennes did an amazing job portraying Voldemort [you must remember he was acting as the director instructed him to.] The nose was the best part about him, it as pretty much exactly how I imagined, he could have been paler and if he did have scarlet eyes he would have looked perfect. However Voldemort seemed very scatty and ran around a little too much, eg. when the Death Eaters arrived, he seemed to run around a lot and jerk between them pulling off thier masks, in my view he should have walked around studying the Death Eaters and a simple look would have had them cowering.

ThexBlackxRose I disagee, yes it was slightly comical but it shows the real maniac that lives in him. It showed how much he really loves seeing Harry in pain.

Near the end Voldemort says, when Harry hides behind the gravestone,

QUOTE
VOLDEMORT
Atta boy Harry, your parents would be
proud. Especially your filthy mongrel
mother. I'm going to kill you Harry
Potter, I'm going to destroy you. After
tonight no one will ever again question
my powers. After tonight if they speak
of you they'll speak only of how you
begged for death, and I being a merciful
lord obliged. Get up.

Voldemort pulls Harry to his feet, Harry begins to move away.

VOLDEMORT
Don't you turn your back on me Harry
Potter I want you to look at me when
I kill you, I want to see the lights
leave your eyes.

In my opinion this line should have been delivered quite slowly and with a lot of emotion so people kind of go 'oh my God.' But he seemed to rush these lines. It didn't give the same impact.

In my opinion, Voldemort was kind of alright, he could have been better but he was quite good.
Nebulosity
I believe that he look as I exspected him. I am not an evil villian type of person but I loved his character. What bothered me was that in the fourth movie when he moved he moved like and angle and was to light on his feet. His movments should be more sharpe and stiff.
The Master of Death
Man Voldy looked as terrifying as in the book but a bit cartoonish did u notice his nose and mouth its almost as he doesn't have a nose....
