Anyway,I was wondering which book the scene is in,and who were the people.

the scene you are speaking of is in OOtP where her and Harry kiss...not really sure 100% what chapter it is in though...if I am mistaken please correct me..but I am sure thats the scene she is referring to...I *think* it may be after one of the DA meetings...I know that Harry attempts to on Valentines day in Hogsmead but doesnt succeed...I am pretty sure its in the room of requirement though..

I think pidwidgon is right. It was right around Christmas, and they'd just finished another DA meeting. They were in the room of requirement when it happened. Seeing this part on screen should be interesting!

Again...if I am not mistaken I believe that Harry is the only person that she kisses in the fifth book...the only other person that she was 'in love' with was Cedric and he..well we all know what happens to him...

yes, that's right, Harry is the only person she kisses..though it is stated at the end of the book - if I'm not mistaken - that Cho now is dating Ginny's ex-boyfriend...I think his name was Michael something...can't remember just now. Anyway..as for the kissing..there was a mistle toe involved, if I remember correctly. So well..christmas spirit did do its good to that particular kiss too! Must be a lovely scene to film however, even though I can imagine that it's gonna be bit weird for the actors at first.

I'll admit that for some reason, I'm just not all that fond of Katie Leung (some of her silly statements to the press come to mind, this being one of them), but I don't think she's perverted for wanting to kiss Dan. There are plenty of young ladies on these forums who would like to, and it hardly makes them perverted.

The thing I don't understand is, at the time this statement was made, Katie had not been confirmed to film OotP. So, if she's not even sure she'll be playing Cho in that film, why get excited?

Actually....this scene was not shown in NOvel.......she I mean Cho, wanted to kiss Harry.but after that, they didn't show that and Harry was back to Griffendor common room where Ron and Hermione asked him, where was he and how was that, then he told them .

I don't think the kiss scene is really significant either, except for it being part of a normal teenage experience. That and they already bothered to set the ground for Cho and Harry having a relationship; not giving that little outlet of tension where the two heroes fall in love and finally confess their feelings (by words or by kissin') would be kind of a let down.

Katie will also most likely be brought back for the next film to play Cho, so I don't believe that her getting excited about kissing Dan will be for naught. I don't really know much about her yet, but I'm willing to overlook anything silly she's said in interviews because she's very new to the film industry and it would be absolutely baffling to have to deal with reporters and all the media attention. It's also possible her comments could have been taken out of context. It's rather easy to misinterpret (intentionally, on the reporter's part) what someone's said just to spice up the story a little. I also don't think it's strange that she's excited to kiss Dan either...I mean, he's a famous film actor and not bad looking around the same age as herself. It'd be a young girl's dream come true.

You guys don't remember in which chapter Harry kisses Cho? I don't remember too!But I rememeber the page no.It's missing in my book of OOP it's page no. 401.I hate the chapter!And...Katie euuu!She is just so insane!It is normal,but extremely abnormal for Harry yo like psycopath Cho!

Well, that's one of my fears. Someone kissing Daniel in the big screen. I can't blame Katie for being excited fot the kissing scene but please! It's not significant like what SennaWells had said. We don't know, the producers might cut that scene.

Doesn't matter much, since from what I hear, she won't be the first kiss Dan has onscreen--the first will be in "December Boys."

I do think there will be a scene though--even though we weren't allowed to see it in the book. I tend to think Jo has a problem with writing romantic scenes, because she always skips them! If someone is "snogging" and it's good for a laugh, she'll write about it. If it's kissing between two people with a strong bond, she avoids writing about it like the plague! lol

But it'll be in the movie...

I'm not sure if they will put that in the movie or not. I mean I don't think that they would leave something that good out but if it wasn't written in the book and if the actors{I mean Dan is uncomfortable with kissing Kaity} then they might not shoot it. I mean it is not a very big deal except for the fact that most people are a bit jealous and do not want to see there Dan kissing another girl but so what if he does, He is just doing what Harry is supposed to do and it does not mean him and Kaity are dating. Personaly I would like to see a bit of kissing it would show that the characters are growing up and that Dan is an even better actor than we would have thought. It would test him. I do not have enything against Kaity but I do envy her.

Of course she is exited about kissing him, it's Daniel Radcliffe for goodness sake. Dan also said once in an interview he is looking forward to the scene: "the kissing scene in the fifth book should be nice" and "it's going to be a lot of fun", so it's not just Katie who's up for a bit of snogging!

Any way, there would be something seriously wrong with her if she wasn't looking forward to snogging Dan! And they wouldn't do the scene well and make it real.

If they'll cut this scene I'lee kill myself! I think it's interesting to look how Dan kisses... Katy is the luckiest girl in the world... <shy>

Katie is soo lucky! I mean who wouldn't want to kiss Dan?! I did see a thing where he said that he was looking forward to it. I know that they won't cut it because it is so important to the story.

I don't wanna see the kissing scene, cause... don't know, first of all Katie is not as good looking as I was expecting her to be (as JKR describes her in GoF)... and second, I will kinda feel gelous:D even if , I gotta admit, it's gonna be interesting:)

yeah i saw that on the homepage...she looked kinda pretty in the picture but to tell the truth i don't want to see that scene. i'm not that much looking forward to it.

Well, I think it's a possibility that Dan and Katie will get together...I mean, I'm not quite sure I like it, but it's really none of my business, I just think they're trying to explore the options with their friendship.

it is already confirmed dan gets to kiss katie and they are already talking about it in some interviews but it is not dan's first kiss on the big screen he will be kissing someone in the film december boys that is teresa palmer her girlfriend in the film dan plays maps an orphan again ........why does he have to b an orphan most of the times????????????????

THIS SCENE IS IMPORTANT i mean like love and kissing boy and girl relationships are like a must ! during that age you see it everywhere! so its should be put in and i tihnk katie is just nervous and anxious first on screen must be so hard !!

I too am looking forward to seeing the kissing scene. (Does anyone know if it's been filmed yet? I know it originally had to be canceled because Dan was under the weather.)

But please remember that it's not Katie kissing Dan in reality. It is two young actors acting a scene in front of the entire film crew, their friends and even parents. It is awkward, difficult, and NOT about getting to kiss Daniel Radcliffe.

Okay, a few things to say:
1) The kissing scene takes place right after a D.A. Meeting in the room of requirement. It is right before Christmas, because, Dobby has decorated the room with mistletoe. Harry and Cho kiss under the mistletoe (very cliche).
2) I love Dan, but I actually do want to see him kiss Cho, because I want to see how he kisses. What if he's a bad kisser? Oh no!
3) I don't actually hate Katie Lueng. She's a bit ugly, but how can I hate someone I don't know? Anyway, Dan's going to break up with her now so it doesn't really matter.
Oh, and Cho's boyfriend's name is Michael Corner. I can't believe you guys don't remember these things. I guess I just read the book too much.

According to the article posted here on the News page, the kissing scene has been filmed (repeatedly) and Katie reports "Dan is a good kisser!" That's one scene I can't wait to see. Sounds like they had a lot of fun doing it too....over and over and over again!!

So excited for this movie. And I really look forward to the kissing scene. Katie Lueng isn't really as I expected her either, physically, but I saw her in an interview and I just really didn't like her. But that's a good thing, because I don't like Cho Chang at all either, I think she and the character have the same way about them. It'll be good when she and Harry break it off.

I'm just so excited a Daniel Radcliffe kiss nonetheless.

I may have to go back and re-read the scene in OotP where Harry and Cho kiss because I just don't recall that their kiss was all that! Sure, it was Harry's first kiss. He had to have been in 'seventh heaven' over it. We don't forget our first kiss, do we? And, there is no doubt that it was more than a peck on the lips between Harry and Cho's first kiss. But, I just don't think that their kiss was, well, passionate! So, I don't expect fireworks in the movie version.

To me, reading about Harry's first kiss was one of those, "awwww how cute!" type of moments. Katie was probably 'really excited' because she would be kissing Dan and not so much Harry Potter! Katie is older by a couple of years than Dan, and I suppose she has been kissed before. Dan, I'm not so sure. Maybe. What do we really know about his love life anyway?! I wonder how Dan prepared for this scene?

i wish i could oh helped him prepare *love that kid* anyway...i think this being a movie and not the book they will make it have a little more punch and romance then the book. i mean that's what movies do, i am not saying its right to differ from what JK has written but it's what i think they will do.

Well the scene is important to the whole plot of the movie, and to the fact that its the start of their extemely brief(thank god) relationship. I personally want to see what all the huff is about. I havent seen Katie Lueng so I dont know whether or not she is good enough or bad enough to be kissing. What I do know is that you might be able to get a pirate of that scene before the movie comes out Just kidding. But then again maybe you could....

I think that the harry and cho scene should be in the movie because that shows that they turning into teenagers and cho is getting into being more of an important character. Harry liked cho in the 4th book and it gets more umm whats the word...I forget.. more into cho I guess and she likes him now too.I guess all I'm trying to say is that harry is getting into love and he liked her for more then half the year so something should happen! Well that's my opinon anyhow.
