I think Robert Pattinson did a great job playing the role of cedric diggory. he's incredibly handsome and knows how to act in movies. I wish he didn't die at the end of the movie, even though that was the story line. I hope to see more of this actor in other movies for he, again, did a great job playing cedric. just the the way i'd always imagined him to be.

I hadnt seen Robert in any other movie, and then I saw him in Harry Potter & he did a really good job doing Cedric. He was even sort of how I imagined him to look. Not down to the tee, but he acted like I thought Cedric would act; very humble, smart, and proud. I guess thats everything a Hufflepuff should be, right?

Yah I imagined him to look not exactly, but damn close to it. But in his other movie, cant remember what its called, he had a beard and long hair, and I tell yah.. That does not suit him at all. I like his shorter hair.

I think Robert Pattinson did well as Cedric. He was very good looking in my opinion and did very well acting out the part. He reminded me of a model for Abercrombie or Hollister but with a British accent I think he was very good for the part

I think Robert was pretty good! He didn't look all too badly different that what Cedric looked like.
I only had one little problem and that was that he just didn't seem "nice" enough. Cedric in the books was just that guy that you can't really hate because he's such a good guy. And in the maze I think they were depicting their last moments wrong. In the movie, Harry kept running at first when Cedric got caught by the branches. In the book Harry hardly hesitated. He felt Cedric had done him a favor and felt he still owed Cedric something. There was no pushing eachother or anything like that.
Just my opinion and observations of course, as always.

I think Cedric Diggory/Robert Pattinson is sooooooo hot!!! I love him i think he plays Cedric really well especially in the Maze and according to the 2nd disc of the GoF dvd it was really hard for them to try and get pulled by the rope into the air when Wormtail was killing Cedric!! Because he kept making a funny noise !!! I really like the bit in GoF when he drops down from the tree!!

yeah, i agree robert plays the role of cedric perfectly & is very good-looking. lol, i also luved the bit, when drops from the tree. when he died, it was so sad to see amos fawning over him and weeping, that was sooo sad

It was really sad in the movie. I think i cried (But i'm not sure). But his acting was very good and i liked the falling from the tree thing too. I dunno why, but i liked it. It was just all "Ooooo look at me, i'm so wonderful and talented" without actualy sounding like an idiot.

I agree with you Moon(I luv you Luna), his character was so good, and yet he had to die. modest? yeah, I spose, though he did look like he quite the attention. his death was just plain sad. o well, I spose all good things must come to an end. But its' such a crime to kill such a cute face.

i agree jay it was a shame to kill such a good looking creature lol oooo cedric in my mind was hott but i think that robert was equally hot or maybe even hotter! plus he played the part well! i think maybe he was a bit to agresive because cedric was a bit more mellow but over all he did it really well!

I must say Robert did do an amazing job as edric, firmly built,good - looking, popular guy. However I have to agree with HermioneClone there, in the books he was that guy that you'd love to hate but you can't yet in the film Harry kept on running. That also wasn't the Harry we know. Cedric gave him some good advice and yet Harry kept on running now Harry doesn't do this it just isn't in him. He's too nice you know. He also was incredibly good looking. Also when it came to Cedric dying I know it woudl happen however when he reached the entrance of the maze I started almost sobbing in the cinema. It moved me.

Robert Pattinson potrayed the character of Cedric Diggory very well. It's sad that the character has come to an end .

You know, I've been on and around this site for well over two years and I didn't notice that there isn't a thread dedicated to the actor who played the first goodie to get killed in HP, Robert Pattinson.

There is a thread about Cedric dying, this thread isn't about that, and I'm pretty sure he's got a mention in the hottest guy thread. Not enough I say, we need a big bit more for Rob!!

I have watched his performance as CD in GOF and to be honest, he was pretty good. In fact I've watched quite a few performances of his in other things and he's a good actor...and cute too!

If you haven't watched the extras of GOF you should, I don't think the guy stopped laughing.

To be honest, it took me a while to actually end up liking Rob. Sure, I thought he was a good Cedric, he played the character well enough, but I never really took a second glance at him. Cedric was never at the top of my list anyway, it didn't really matter. Then I heard he was going to play Edward in Twilight. Let me tell you, I was completely livid. I loved Edward and I couldn't really believe that Cedric was going to be Edward Cullen aka sexiest, most charming humanvampire on the planet, it made me so mad!

Of course, talking to me today, you would have never expected that! I adore Rob now, and I will defend him as Edward. It took me a while to warm up to him, but one day I woke up and realized that he's going to be a brilliant Edward. He's incredibly charming and he's got that little bit of arrogance that Eddy needs. Watching GoF again, I realized he was a very good actor. Robert has definitely grown on me and nowadays, I love him!

The Haunted Airman is very strange... I watched it one night and, well... there aren't really words to describe that movie, it just kind of is... Needless to say, Rob is great in it!

I like the bit of Vanity Fair and I really wish that they would have kept it in the film. Like I said, the guy is very good at acting out someone incredibly charming. And in that costume? *swoon*

I still have to watch The Bad Mothers Handbook when I get my laptop back on Thursday. It's terrible that I haven't watched it yet...

The work of Rob's that I'm very much looking forward to is How to Be. That movie looks really funny and cute, I hope they can speed up the process to get it released, for an indepent film, it looks very good quality and completely awesome. I hope that with all the press for Rob lately, it'll speed things up so that they're able to release the movie!

I love Robert! He's really hot and now he's going to be in Twilight the movie (Eeek! I love the Twilight series) Hmmm... I'll have to check out the other movies he's been in to see if he will be ok in Twilight... Twilight the movie is going to be... ummm different... there are going to be parts that we(the twilighters) will be mad about and not all movies can be like the book. Ugh my rambling! Ok he's a hot british guy and I love him... There will be a showing at a film festival I think in Rhode Island later this year, but two of the Twilighters I met on Saturday have both been to private screenings of the movie (jealous or what) simply because thet hounded the producer Justin with gushing e-mails about the film. I am in the process of doing the same thing

I love the fact that he has taken on roles that are completely adorkable. He's supposed to look like a geek and yet manages to look appealing at the sametime. If he'd been in the HP movies in a different role, I'm sure we'd still be talking bout him now but not in the saem way. Let's say for example he'd been cast as Seamus, who is in all the movies but has littlle screen time. He'd probably have made the independent movies filmed in the UK but would have been bound by his contract to WB and wouldn't have been in the running for Twilight seeing as they were filmin at the same time on opposite sides of the world. As a result I don't think he would be getting the attention that he is now, and I for one would have in all honesty not opened up this thread.

But he was Cedric and very nice he was too!

I think Twilight was a 'springboard' for him, and I agree, it's given him a lot more attention that all kinds of British film could have given him seeing as the Twilight fever grows bigger for each day. I admit, I never really thought of him as much before I started reading Twilight and found out he was to play Edward. And when looking at old pictures and scenes with him, like from GOF I have to admit that through time he's just gotten hotter and hotter Yes, he's playing excelent, but as said, it was only in one movie and there wasn't much attention on him. There surely is now

You're right, Elaine, that is a pretty diverse list of roles he has played. Really makes me like him as an actor even more. It takes a strong actor to be able to pull off so many different characters and personalities. Most actors usually stick with one type of character (funny, serious, evil, etc.) because that is what they are good at. But to be able to take on so many and pull them off is uncommon. I can't wait to see what he takes on next!

I keep coming across so much stuff that I never been seen before on this guy. I came across this link on You tube of him singing and playing the guitar...very enthusiatically. Not the greatest singer in the world, but anyone who can perform in front of people has a huge amount of guts in my opinion!

I would just like to add some drooling in here. We've just talked about how great an actor he is, but you've got to admit, his looks are definetly with him. He is charming, a good musician (which just adds something extra charming and sexy to him), he is just a great guy by the looks of it and when you watch interviews with him, he seems pretty down-to-earth, not a primadonna like Jennifer Lopez or some other celebs I cannot remember who are living in a totally different world. Rob just seems like a guy who is really nice, a guy you could just chat with, comfortably. And yes, he is HOT, but not in that commercial way in lack of better words, but in some sort of special way, I cannot describe it. It has something to do with the effect he has on you also. He works like a charm on me

Okay, so one of the things I judge celebs on is the way they're acting when theyre not speaking in interweivs. If it's an interweiv with two persons, try to notice the way the other looks. I'm sure they think the viewers looks at the speaking one, and I'm sure it's true, but I've begun looking at the other one as they have the cutest faces, looking at the other one, looking upwards and doing a lot of crazy things. And the faces when they try to listen to the interviewer. Oh, wow. Rob especially does when he and Kirsten are being interviewed in the interview for Twilight on MTV. You don't even need sound. Haha!

Oh wow. I didn't know that he had done modelling work. Though he seems to be a natural talent. And he should be, he is so hot and you can actually FEEL his charm in those pics, thanks a lot!.
I really like pic 6 and 11 from Hackett of London. He is simply gorgeous. The thing about Rob is that he is both goodlooking when laughing, smiling and when he is not. Not many models can do that and look so natural and sexy. And his face simply tells a story. I think he is a natural in front of a camera!

And Vicki, you are right about Rob when Kristen is talking. I just rewatched those from MTV, and he is just acting funny sometimes . Oh, he is just a great guy!!

With the serious eye contact it really did make me shiver. Rob has made a lot of independant movies in the UK. The most recent How To Be hasn't been shown but if you sign up to the web site there is a chance that we might eventually get it out on general release. Clcik!! I know two ladies that were lucky enough to go to a private screening of this movie, one of them actually went twice and thinks Robs mum was at one of them.

Little Ashes in wihich he plays a young Salvador Dali is due to be released in 2009. It was originally set to be released later this year but the date has been put back because of Twilight.

One of my favourite roles is Daniel Gale in Bad Mothers Hnadbook. It's hilarious, touching and he is still gorgeous even as a nerd!! Or Nerdward as those in the know call him

He was also in the alternate ending of Vanity Fair playing Reese Witherspoons son, but it got cut and can only been seen on You Tube of if you own the DVD!

The Haunted Airman is a play by Dennis Potter and is rather bizarre. I hated the play but Robs acting was flawless and that made it strangley watchable!

The Summer House is a short film (about 12 mins) in which he plays a not very nice ex boyfriend (sorry repeating my self here). In this clip Rob appears at about 1 min 57 seconds!! I don't know when or if it will be shown in the UK or anywhere else.

Oh my God. Etphonehome thank you so much for showing all of these videos. I loved it First off I want to say that he plays the guitar beautifuly. I didn't know that he can play it so well. I wonder how long he's been playing the guitar and piano? Lol anywho, and he doesn't sound bad at all at singing. I mean yea, I'm not use to seeing the musical side of him but I can get use to it. I was just caught off guard in his singing, that's all.

I saw the trailor to How To Be. I want to say that I don't know if it's a sad or comedy movie, but I found it funny. Mainly because I think that he looks funny with long hair. I like his short hair alot. Though he can work the long hair(; maybe if it wasn't flat-iorn looking I see that he still carries the guitar. Super cute! This is defientely a role that I could never have pictured him in. But that goes to show you that he is very well rounded.

Persoanlly I thought that he looked GORGEOUS in Vanity Fair. It's a real shame that it was cut and turned to an alternate ending. What was the problem? He looked alot like Cedric in this film, was Vanity Fair around the time of the GoF?

The haunted airman was sort of weird. I didn't completely watch it becuase I picked out bits and peices. I was losing myself a bit seeing as I was only looking at Rob I am assuming that he played someone paralyzed? I don't know, but I was noticing some of the comments on youtube and well, alot of the girls liked how confident he was looking at making out I thought that it was something funny I came across and thought that I should share.

I think that he played atleast for that minute or so that I saw him in The Summer House, he played the part well. He looked like a not nice ex-boyfriend. And his agressivness, very good I was sort of scared, in the sense that I [again] wasn't use to seeing the role that he played. He always seem to me like the guy that plays the hottie in the movie lol or the "hero". I don't know someone that everyone falls in love with. Ie. Cedric and Edward. But by showing me this [thank you etphonehome] I have seen RobPat in a different light, and I think that he is an amazing actor, musician and I think that smile just dazzled me more than ususal haha.

so i was just going around VTM when i noticed this thread, and i cant believe i havent noticed it before! because i absolutely love Robert. and not just because of his dashing looks. but he is absolutely wonderful as an actor. and, im currently trying to watch all the movies hes ever been in. and not only is he a great actor, but a great singer as well.

i havent seen the Haunted Airman, and now im kind of anxious (for lack of a better word) to see it. but im disappointed to hear that he smokes alot in that one. its such a pet peeve of mine..i hate it when people smoke oh well..he has played some rather odd characters hasnt he? haha.

etphonehome, that is terribly annoying, but at least you can think of it this way: you can always watch it on youtube or megavideo or at least, thats how i think of situations when i can never get the acual DVD or see it in theatres.

Because How To Be is an independent movie it hasn't been picked up by the distributors. That's why it's getting screened in all these film festivals, in a hope that it will be. This could take a long long time. My friends who saw private screenings did so back in May and April. We are in July now so that's how slow this process is for independent film makers. Perhaps the fact that Rob is going to be an enormous Hollywood superstar thanks to Twilight will wake these people up and get it in cinemas.



I adore that picture too. It allegedly was taken in Marks and Spencer's in Soho, London. My previously mentioned friends and I have said we will try to find the store and re-enact the shot next time we meet up...we are so sad!

And about the smoking the Haunted Airman. You have to remember the time frame that the drama is set. In 1940's England everyone smoked. They were given away as part of a military persons rations because they didn't know the side affects to smoking back then, so the smoking fit the character.

I really think both is pretty great. Ih, now I'm actually mad a Twilight. If it had been sooner, my Spanish teacher might have 'forced' us to see it. She's obsessed with Dali (and all other Spanish artists) and would have be happy to make the class see it. I would too, but (if the movie ever comes to Denamrk), it's probably too late.

- How to Be is not being released in the UK?. Then I very much doubt it will ever come to Denmark either. It is so sad, I live in a small town where the cinema doesn't show the biggest celection of movies, so IF it will come to Denmark, it will propably only be shown in Copenhagen, a four hour drive from my home. If we are really lucky, I will only have to travel for 2 hours.

- The picture with the head in the freezer makes me smile as well. It is just plain weird . And I have actually been to Marks and Spencers in Soho in London. Uhh, I feel so special

i mean, he looks very nice with long & short hair..but if i HAD to choose, i think id choose liking him better with shorter hair..like he has in twilight.
